Horrible service!! Walked in wad greeted by sorry its a 30 minute wait! Will not ever go in again!!

Just picked up my online order. When I arrived I was told they were out of creamy chicken/rice soup. I asked why I wasn't notified this was out when I ordered and was told that they had it when the order came in. He had no answer why the first order in (mine) didn't take precedence over someone walking in the door. This happened with my last order too. After trying to order several different salads & being notified that some ingredients weren't available I finally landed on one that seemed to be complete. When I arrived I was told that there wasn't any pineapple for the salad (one of the main ingredients). He said the only pineapple available was already in separate fruit cups and they couldn't (wouldn't?) deconstruct one....I would have to purchase one. My feeling is that they should have comped me one of the fruit cups so I would have the actual salad I paid for. I didn't ask for this since I'm pretty sure what the answer would be, but also because I don't think you should have to ask to be comped for poor service. I ordered soup and a hot sandwich with a cold green tea. All of the teas were out. My soup sat served up,for a long time before they even start ed the sandwich. I asked for hot soup, which they did. When I hit my sandwich it was cold and Italian dressing was oozing out of my sandwich. It tasted terrible. I asked for a refund of the sandwich, which they did. First time going to this location. I wanted to get some coffee and the cashier didn't look like she was in a good mood. It was my first time getting coffee there and asked if they help me out or not and she just said a one word answer and handed me the cup. The price of a small coffee was not bad. This location has zero customer service! You are forced to order off the kiosk, then make sure you don't forget to ask for your cups when you pick up your food. They will need to check your order before they hand over an empty cup. There is no one you can talk to if you're not picking up your order. No one. And their prices keep increasing! $16 for half a salad and half a sandwich. This is why we hardly go here anymore. The kiosk you order at was dirty. There was no one greeting anyone or letting them know to order at the kiosk. Some patrons were confused about how to order, with no help, other than other patrons kindness. Most tables were not wiped down (2:30pm), actually saw a nice woman wiping one down for someone else. Crew seemed overworked, but friendly and efficient. The food was as expected, well made and delicious. We will more than likely avoid Panera for the foreseeable future. First time for me to come to any Panera but I have friends who really like it so I gave it a try. My goodness what a poorly run place. I was probably the first customer of the morning. Coffee was being served from yesterday. It was lukewarm. I told them and they made some more but continued to serve out of the even colder urn to customers I had never been there before so I waited, and waited for my toasted bagel. Finally I asked. It was around the corner waiting on the counter. Someone could have mentioned where you pick up your order. I wouldn't have posted a review but I saw other people had similar experiences so it wasn't just one bad morning Other Paneras might be fine but this one needs to step up their service. We don't have a Panera Bread in Hawaii, but we do see all the commercials. So when we got a chance to go to one on our recent trip to Salem, Oregon we really wanted to try it out. As you can see by the star rating for this review, it didn't go so well. I was fully expecting the soup to be thick and hearty like the pictures on the menu. Nope. Was watery and the ingredients weren't chunky. The salad my gf ate also had a spoiled piece of lettuce and she caught it before she ate it. Thank God. With so many, and I mean dozens and dozens of fast food options, next to and at the Woodburn Outlets, I'm so glad there is a Panera Bread with a drive through! After a day of shopping, I prefer grabbing something to go, something I can eat when I get home. Since the drive is 30-45 minutes depending on traffic, I prefer a sandwich or salad that doesn't stink up the car or requiring me to reheat. Thank you Panera! While I can't speak to the inside as I've never actually walked inside, this location has a drive through making it super convenient to hit up right before getting on I-5. Must be grossly understaffed. When we walked in, half of the tables in the venue still had dirty plates on them from previous customers. No one in sight was going around to pick them up and clean! Only when a big group of us walked in, did we see a person grab some of the dirty plates after we ordered and started to half-a** clean them. We found one table with no plates to sit in but we were surrounded by piled up dirty dishes from the neighboring tables. Live next to this Panera & have tried multiple times. Always giving the excuse that it's by the mall so that's why it's always a long wait and busy. So recently went there, barely any one inside and no line in the drive through. We waited 50 mins!! This is a normal wait time, but couldn't leave cause I had already paid. The guy said they were short staffed. I saw 4 people in there walking around. My mother in laws lettuce looked rotten, my sons apples were brown, and I got sick after my sandwich. The cashiers were really friendly (from observance) but I opted for the self ordering process because of the line. It was Saturday of 4th of July weekend, so the outlet mall, and therefore this location, was pretty busy. The food is exactly what you'd expect, my one complaint about the food is that I wish my soup was hotter. Otherwise, the food came quickly and we were able to eat. We got 5 pick 2 meals and everyone enjoyed what they got. The eating area is pretty dirty. They should clean tables and the floor more. The outdoor seating area seemed ok but there weren't any free tables so we opted for the inside. They need more tables for larger families (4+ people) but I guess their space can't spare too much. If the location is busy, it gets pretty crowded. Bathroom was such a pain. It was 2 stalls and really small. If there's a line, you will get whacked by the door. Recommend keeping the door open if a line forms. Bathroom also needed a really good sweeping. read more

I would say the 3 star rating is about right for this Panera location. The biggest downside to this location is they are staffed very limited 1 cashier with tons of self service tablets for orders. The tablets aren't a bad idea but at an outlet mall location you have a lot of big families, parents wrangling small kids, seniors, etc. that I don't think a self service tablet works for this crowd. The service was slow, and the restaurant looked beat up (lots of tables needing to be cleared). On a positive note the location is great. Big parking lots next door to the outlet mall that shares a parking location with TJ Max so you have plenty of room to park or walk from the outlet mall. The food is your standard Panera menu so if you are looking for something familiar this a great place. If you do want to order from your table you can and select the location you are sitting to help avoid the slow moving line. With all the being said I think if this location could increase their staff they would have a lot better service and ability to keep their location clean and up to standards. read more

I saw some bad reviews and wanted to share a great review! We stopped in on a busy Sunday and got a good size order to go. Included broccoli cheddar soup and sandwiches. It was done fast. And everything was really good. They were a bit understaffed at the front but the guy handled it wonderfully. He also took a minute while we looked at the menu and quickly wiped down tables. This store was the dirtiest location I have ever been in. There were flies flying around the baked goods on display. The seating area had many dirty tables which can be understandable if was slammed and busy. But to see lots of staff just hanging out in the back and not out cleaning tables seemed unacceptable. The "clean" table I choose was sticky and dirty everywhere. Splattered hardened food stuck to the walls and the table underneath never looked like was ever cleaned. The booth seat was filthy! PANERA, post clearly and boldly that the lemonades are energy drinks!!! Had lunch at Panera today, it had been a while since I'd been there. I decided to try their new lemonade drinks. They were very good flavors and in the evening I told my son about the new drinks. He informed me that they were loaded with caffeine lke energy drinks. The problem is I didn't know they were engery drinks. I don't drink energy drinks!! and I only drink one cup of coffee a day. It's way too much for me and I can't handle it. About 10mins after I finished my lunch and drinking about half the given drink size, I felt like I was going to pass out and I had to rush to the restroom very quickly. I had no idea why I felt the way that I did and for a few hours later still felt queasy!!! I eat at Panera frequently in locations all over the west coast and this location in Woodburn has always been my favorite. They serve their food with a smile, it's always exactly what I order, their rewards for their loyalty program are amazing, and their food is fresh and healthy. I'm particularly fond of the broth bowls and salads, although the onion soup is one of my favorites, too. Oh yes, they have great sandwiches, too. They have a large variety of breads and pastries and everything I've tried has been fresh - bagels toasted to perfection, cheese danish very "cheesy," pecan rolls perfectly nutty and caramel-y. I always love coming to panera bread since we dont have one in hawaii. This particular one was great. The workers were very helpful and friendly probably because I came in the morning and there weren't much customers yet. I always like that when you dine in you just take your number after ordering and they bring your food to your table and clean it all up as well. They always have great service and their food is always delicious. I just wish they served soup in the morning. They said that they only start after 1030. But they have a lot of breakfast choices.
