    Kimchi homemade!!

Very kind staff, very excellent food! Don't recall the name of the dish as I asked for a recommendations so that I could try something new. Very good! Homemade kimchi and chili oil were to DIE for! Even had camping leftovers the next day. Best kimchi I've ever had and I lived in Hawaii. Thank you!

Lunch special teriyaki chicken and fried rice.
    Adrienne J.

The potstickers and crab puffs were good. The rest of the food we had was not good. I wanted the sweet and sour chicken house special. But it didn't come with fried rice and if I wanted that it was going to be an additional 6 bucks. No way. So I decided on the teriyaki chicken lunch special for 9.95 and on that one for some reason it was only 3$ to add fried rice. Good thing I added the rice because there was barely any chicken to be found in the dish. The plate was a huge pile of rice which would have been good but it was covered in a sauce that was so salty it was pretty much inedible. I dug down past the sauced rice and ate it with my few shreds of chicken and I am extremely disappointed. My friend got the General Tso chicken and it was flavorless. She asked for it to be spicy and it had no spice and no flavor at all. The only discernible taste was from the fryer oil that the chicken was cooked in. Mom got the kung pao chicken and again it was not spicy and the flavor was very much lacking. It was chock full of celery though. The lady was nice and the place was clean. Mom liked the egg flour soup. But overall what a huge disappointment. From the high ratings we were excited to get good Asian food but I am honestly just considering stopping at McDonalds for some nuggets and sweet and sour sauce. At least I know what that will taste like.

Let's see how the food is. Maybe I came in at the wrong time? I'm pretty sure my presence is not wanted. Not the best feel when you're trying to have lunch. Every item was dropped on the table with a clash of glass from the table top, and plates/bowls. Then slid over to me. If the food was 10 then maybe it wouldn't have bothered me. But the food was basic. The spring rolls and hot and sour soup were the highlights. The crispy wrapper, tasty fillings, with their sauce was good. The hot and sour soup pushed me into some childhood nostalgia, and points are won there. The general tso chicken was odd. The breading in the chicken was on some pieces and not others. There's a bath of sauce on the plate, and any crispness of breading was gone. The taste was okay. But with a lack of spiciness, and no peppers to be seen in the sauce, it was mostly just really sweet. The pork fried rice had a few small piece of pork and no veggies like a normal pork fried rice (peas and carrots??)... overall it was bland. It also didn't blend as a great soaker for the generals sauce. Overall the main plate also looked a bit monotone in color. The flavors weren't horrible. It was overall average, with an ok experience. I may come back and try again. Maybe it's just an off day.

And I should have stopped there and left. Now the quantity of the food was generous, especially the chicken lumps, I will give them that. The chicken came as 3/4 inch diameter breaded lumps and had been deep fried. Then the red sweet sauce coated most of the lumps. As for flavor, about all I could taste was the sweet sauce. Seemed I was eating red candy. I eventually used my generous napkin to wipe off as much of the sauce as I could. Note I've said nothing about sour here. Just red sauce - no onions, no peppers, no other vegetables in the sweet red sauce. The fried, about a cup's worth, rice had rare tiny pork(?) pieces and no recognizable vegetables. Flavor was ok although tasted like something was a bit (old?). The spring roll was deep fried and didn't have much flavor. I dipped in the sweet sauce. Which was better than the little dish of? Maybe it was the sweet and sour sauce? So the good news here was the deep fryer oil wasn't too old. I did not try the Chinese hot mustard.

The veggies were plentiful, perhaps a bit over cooked to softness. The fried rice was a little disappointing. Seemed mostly rice and soy sauce. A few specks of mystery meat in the mix but the texture was good. My biggest end disappointment was the food came without any plastic silverware or napkins. I'm in a motel with no eating utensils. Am I supposed to use my hands? Luckily, after I made my way to the front desk the clerk found me a plastic fork. Kinda a pain to have to put on shoes and stuff to stroll down there but I was hungry. So in the end, the food was ok to mediocre, filled me up. The lack of utensils and napkins could have been a disaster waiting to happen.

The one thing that really let me down were the shrimp used for the shrimp dishes. I cant say 100%, but they tasted to me like cocktail shrimp that were just placed cold on top of the other items. They definitely weren't hot and just had that "taste" that grocery store cocktail shrimp have. The chicken in the sweet & sour chicken was very good. I'd probably give Jin's a 3.5 stars if I could. Some items were good, some were just okay, nothing was bad. Service was friendly and the place is cute and spacious.

Fried shrimp tempura: juicy inside and not too oily! It tasted really good with the spicy red sauce and sweet and sour sauce that they have available in the restaurant. It's fast-casual nature comes with a minimalistic interior and menu, very much an "enjoy-and-go" vibe. Food: 5/5 - As with many Asian restaurants, the food is the belle of the ball. Drinks: 5/5 - Rather surprisingly, Pan Asian Express features a deep menu for drinks, including juice, fountain soda, canned drinks, coffee, and tea. Service: 4/5 - During peak Outlet dining hours, it can get quite busy and orders may have longer wait times (10-15 minutes). However, the restaurant is clean and was able to field all my requests (extra hot and teriyaki sauce, additional plates and bowls, etc.). There really aren't any further expectations of service above that. Recommended: Quite honestly, any Teriyaki or Yakisoba dish. I've tried the Hot & Spicy Chicken and Tofu, Chicken Yakisoba, and Teriyaki Beef on various occasions. Generous portions absolutely packed with flavor left me full and satisfied. The meat was also well-cooked and tender. Interestingly, the restaurant also serves hot dogs and fries. A particular shoutout to the Garlic Lover Hot Dog, which comes with grilled chunks of fresh garlic, and a delight to anyone looking for a savory treat. Overall, this place is my go-to during my visits to Woodburn and I've yet to be disappointed. Don't forget to try the house-made hot sauce! For those with spice tolerance, it elevates every dish.
