If I could give 6 stars, I would. Apparently there are some pretty messed up Panera's out there. Today was my second time ordering from Panera ever. Both from this location. I had a good experience the first time and had a GREAT experience today. Always clean and friends people and yummy soup! Ever walk up to a counter (any place) with a bazillion options? Even when I walk up (anywhere) knowing what I want, I can get pretty overwhelmed with all the options as my eyes begin to wander. This is why I love their kiosk! (And they have 3! So you don't have to worry about holding anyone up). That said, I watched the lady at the counter help 3 individuals with so much class and she even took the time and o talk to me when I made a comment about the kiosk. The people here are patient and kind. And this wasn't even the best part! I sat down and waited for my food that I ordered to go. Then thought..... I kinda want one of my soups right now. I asked the kitchen to make me both "here" and "to go." Instead of an eye roll, the guy smiled and said, "I know what you mean. I got you." I was handed my order exactly how I was hoping. The teriyaki bowl had kicks of flavor & more available toppings to add compared to others. Juicy. More tender. The salad with edamame made it 5x better for me, specifically I don't believe this item could taste bad or outdated, everything looked fresh and tasted that way as well. * I refuse to give this more then 3 stars though due to the high pricing of the items, quality matches the pricing but the quantity does not and I refuse to rate any place higher then 3 from now on due to this issue. TL;DR: Just your average ol' Panera. If you get a salad, ask for the dressing to be on the side, I always find the greens to be drenched in too much fluid (for me at least). I walked in and ordered ToGo, which took 15-20 minutes before my food came out at 7pm on a Wednesday. At least for me, I expected to receive my order sooner than that because there was no one dining in. Granted there may have been online orders they were filling. Parking: shared lot. Atmosphere: quiet, no one dines in here it seems. All I saw were people going in and out grabbing online orders. Menu: posted above the register or you can order at the kiosks on your left as soon as you enter. Citrus Asian Crunch Salad with Chicken: Nothing about the salad really wowed me and there was an extreme lack of kale. It consisted mainly of romaine lettuce. Nothing like the "photos" on the app. It was filling nonetheless and had good flavor from the citrus dressing. When I was done I wanted to order a sandwich for the road, but it looks like they ran out of avocado 15 minutes later (sandwich order was attempted around 10:45). Today was the hottest day in Seattle recorded history. I didnt really feel like eating but I figured if i was going to eat, I would go to Panera for something fresh and cool. Walked in to Woodinville Panera and the place was packed. Cashiers Autumn and Josh couldn't have been more patient and friendly. I ordered a bunch of items to take back to the Office and everyone loved the salads and the steak and cheese paninis. Raves included: turkey/bacon/avocado sandwich, steak and white cheddar panini, strawberry salad, tomato soup and chicken panini with onions, cheese , tomato etc. The true standout of this restaurant is their manager Jim. Because of the weather, this had to be one of the roughest days to work in food service, Jim never showed the strain; instead, he maintained his cheerful and considerate persona toward guests and employees while he switched into fast PacMan/high gear. In just four minutes, I watched Jim bus and clean tables, keep an eye towards the front door traffic flow, deliver orders to people orders to people waiting, and even apologize to customers for their wait time or any mistakes that might have been made in their order. Although I have only been to this particular location a few times, I think that Jim's even more amazing skill, is finding employees who love their job and helping create such a positive work environment. I didn't check my order before leaving, after I got home I realised they gave me a pumpkin muffin instead of the apple I ordered and there was no French baguette. I have been lucky to have consistently good experiences at this location. Get here nice and early in the day if you want fresh pastries and yummy baked breads. If you are looking for a light lunch or a larger dinner portion, there's plenty options to choose from too. I find the food good value for what you get. I have used both rapid pick up and in store ordering and have never had issues. The staff are always nice too, but I suppose if you treat them respectfully then you get the same in return. My husband ordered a turkey avocado sandwich with broccoli cheddar soup and I had a half poppyseed chicken salad. Food was great. Service okay. Last Friday, our experience was very different even though the restaurant wasn't very busy and there appeared to be plenty of staff. Service was mixed. Fine when we got there. However, a counter person was nowhere to be found for several minutes when we were leaving and stopped to give some feedback. Faces appeared after my husband loudly said, "Is anyone working here?" Food is pretty good, particularly the soups. Coffee, if they have any ready, isn't bad either. I'm a coffee guy and on a regular basis they don't have any ready after 1:00 PM.
