Spicy seafood noodle - jjam ppong
    Angela S.

We were traveling from LA visiting a friend in Seattle and she took us here. We liked all the dishes we had. We ordered a combo Jja-jang-myun (black bean noodle) was good. Jjam-ppong ( spicy seafood noodle) had lots of seafood. Although it was a little bit spicier than expected, I loved the rich seafood broth. Tang-soo-yuk ( fried pork) was delicious as well. I wish they had more vegetable dishes and offered Kim-chi as a side dish but they do have all the basic menu and they all tasted good. The portion was good too. Service was awesome. All the staff were very friendly and fast. There were 7 people in our party and we were able to sit all together. I would definitely come back next time I visit Seattle.

We wanted a change from our usual "table service" Korean restaurant. This is conveniently located across from the Bothell Home Depot and next to the US Chef store. I was expecting a noodle forward Korean place but it's a Chinese Korean fusion place. I struggle with fusion food.... The place was not busy on a Wednesday night and seated immediately with very quick and kind service throughout with very nice ladies! A little plate of pickled Daikon was immediate and oddly refilled before gone. No ban Chan here though which disappointed me! I can live on the little Korean pickled snacks! Menu is QR code. Very clean restaurant with ample parking. We ordered the beef and noodle soup and they were great at backing out the other seafood for me beyond prawns. We also got the pork cooked in a sauce with rice and a fried egg on top. Food came quite fast. The noodle dish was good but sort of spicy and very gochujang heavy. But I liked the broth. It didn't like me the next day. It was essentially a stir fried beef prawns and vegetables in a Kimchee soup style with basically large spaghetti noodles. I'm pretty sure most of this came from the chef store next door. Not fresh or unique noodles. I would order this again if I went there. The pork dish was really a very sweet gloppy mess with a nice mound of rice topped with a fried egg. We didn't eat much of this and took it home. Maybe my wife will eat the leftovers?? Overall I am generous here with 4 stars, mostly for service, and we are on the fence over returning again. Decent food but just not our "jamb". Ultimately we ate the leftover spaghetti soup (I felt ill after) but threw out most of the gloppy sweet pork dish and rice packed in a cardboard box that dried out! If you like the different home cooked Korean dishes instead of KBBQ you may like this place.

Best Korean food in Woodinville?? Who would have thought?? When a large party of 12 aunties and uncles come out with their bellies full, you know have entered the right spot. Come in, get the Family Combo B, sit back, relax and enjoy some Korean/Chinese fusion comfort food. Portions are generous, fair priced, and delicious. More than enough food for 3 heavy eaters in our party. Our service was polite, efficient, and provided more than enough utensils and side plates for our group.

We happened to be in the area and this came up on Yelp so we decided to go randomly on a Saturday. I am so grateful we decided to go! First, both my husband and I were dressed nicer than usual because we had a birthday party after, so they gave us these cute aprons to wear to keep our clothes clean! We ordered garlic green beans, jajang noodles, and then tangsuyuk. The garlic green beans were fine (very garlicky, which I love but my husband said felt overpowering if he tried to eat anything after), the jajang noodles are clearly a fave (don't let "black bean sauce" deter you if you're not a bean girlie, trust me!), and the tangsuyuk was perfectly fried with the most delicious sauce. Overall, we loved what we ordered and we strongly recommend this place. Shout out to the great service, quick ordering/delivery of food, and overall positive experience.

This place has easily become my new favorite Korean place!! Went here and luckily beat the dinner rush. We got the friends combo A and added on another order of noodles for the 4 of us and that was the perfect amount of food. The service was so quick and the food came out so fast!

Great food, came before the rush hour. Server was attentive to our table when the dinner rush came. Wish the location was bigger to accommodate more people!

We tried this spot for dinner. Was rated pretty quickly. The food felt like comfy food. The garlic beans was a good effort but didn't quite hit the spot when compared to the ones in DTF. The Kkanpunggi was excellent. The Japchae Rice and Jajang was also quite good. Overall it's good place if you want to just have a decent meal without over expectations. I'll be back to try other stuff on the menu.

Combo - kimchi tofu soup (not pictured) and kalbi
    Ash A.

My new fave Korean place! Kalbi is super 'ono - tender, perfectly seasoned/marinated. And they're very generous with the banchan - LOTS of variety and ALL very good. On top of all this, the service is stellar - Edge (sp?) is very attentive without being too "much." You definitely get your money's worth here!

This is an absolute must-visit for anyone craving authentic Chinese-style Korean food. They've completely mastered the classics: the black bean noodles (Jajangmyeon) are rich and savory, and the sweet and sour fried pork (Tangsuyuk) is perfectly crispy and delicious. Best of all, the kitchen is lightning fast--the food comes out incredibly fast and fresh, making it the ideal spot for a quick, high-quality, and deeply satisfying meal.

We have eaten a lot of Korean food, but this is our first taste of Korean Chinese food with their popular black bean sauce noodles. Modoo Banjeom in Bothell is known for serving gigantic portions at very good prices. The night we went was cold and wet. That steaming platter of noodles and the spicy noodle soup were perfection. Their food is very crave-able. We arrived just before 7, and we seated soon after. The restaurant is modest sized and clean. Our server was chatty and explained everything to us, giving us extra pickled radish for our leftovers. The staff worked very well together and readily met our eye contact for water refill and take-out containers. Thanks! The Food: Seafood Jajang Platter, $29 - 5 Stars Menu: 해물쟁반짜장 - Stir-fried noodles in black bean sauce, seafood, pork, and vegetables Their version of black bean sauce is slightly sweet, which is normal. You need to look at the photo to understand what this platter is about. It's insanely good and super satisfying with the mixture of ingredients. Everything is cooked just right. Jjamppong, $18 - 5 Stars Menu: 짬뽕 - Spicy noodle soup with seafood and vegetables This spicy seafood noodle soup is so, so good on this cold night. Theirs is a spicy clear broth version well stocked with seafood, veggies, and noodles.

Delicious, mouthwatering Korean food! My second time eating at this restaurant. The first time I was at the Lynnwood location and I forgot to post about how good this restaurant was. Just like the Lynnwood location, the restaurant is clean, welcoming staff, and the food is comforting. We had the C1 combo friends A, and chili shrimp. Lots of food for two people. Definitely it could easily feed 3 maybe 4 depending on how much you can eat. Great foodie option to try out!

Great flavors at this little Korean restaurant in Bothell! We had their Combo A which includes a spicy seafood soup, a black bean noodle dish, and a deep fried pork dish with a sweet dipping sauce The Korean names are hard to pronounce and remember, but all were generous sized and delicious. The spicy soup was overflowing with squid, shrimp, and other shell fish, and the soup was rich and perfect on a cold evening. The deep fried pork was my favorite, not overcooked and also good portion size. The black bean noodle was decent but I wish it had just a bit richer sauce. We had enough to take home for leftovers which were just as good the next day! This is not a very big place, maybe 9-10 tables plus a small bar, so there might be a little wait. But they get people out pretty quickly, and staff was all friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back for more of their menu.

    The combo A spread

First time here and it won't be my last! I have been hearing about this place recently and wanted to try this place out. So my partner and I decided to trekked our way up north to Bothell to find this hidden gem. The restaurant is located in a plaza shared amongst with other businesses like Starbucks. As we entered the restaurant, we were seated immediately by the front door. We were instructed to scan the QR code for the menu. We decided to order the combo A which included the jjangmeon, tansuyuk (sweet and sour pork) and jjamppong. Here are my thoughts on each dish. Jjangmeon: The black bean sauce were sweet and saucy. I like the noodle chewy texture where it reminds me of spaghetti noodles. I do wish there were more flavors added to this traditional dish. Tangsuyuk: This was our first time trying this dish and we thought it was pretty good. They give you a bowl of sweet and sour sauce to pour over the pork. The pork was lightly battered and deep fried. I asked our server if we could sampled the mala sauce version and he kindly gave us a small bowl of the sauce to try. Overall, I would order this again but with the mala sauce instead since the spiciness made a difference to this dish. Jjamppong: Hands down our favorite dish of them all! The broth was flavored very well and it was spicy. You can taste the wok flavor in the broth. I also like having noodles and seafood in this dish. Really enjoyable to eat especially on a cold day! Will for sure order again when I come back! Overall, a great hole in the wall restaurant! The service was great and the staff were very attentive. Definitely will come back again! FYI they have another location out in Lynwood.

You really taste the spice if you ask for it. In long We've been talking about kimchi fried rice for 3 weeks, and finally got an order in. We're trying to cook at home more these days, but we opened the app and we were total suckers for the special. It was just a few bucks off, but when we built the order, it was 2-for-1, so we have an awesome pile of leftovers now. Showed up fast, still plenty hot. Kimchi fried rice Awesome chewy texture, great spicy tart kimchi flavor, savory fried egg on top with extra seasoning just on the egg. We got our 2-for-1 on the rice, and the portion is pretty big, so we will get at least 4 servings out of this. Tofu mushroom soup Ordered 4 stars, and there's actual noticeable kick to it, which not every place does. Excellent flavors. For $25, 2 little cups doesn't seem like much, so if I see that 2-for-1 again I might put it in on the soup instead of the rice. We're trying to think of delivery these days as a rare treat, and this place more than met the mark. We had a dozen other dishes in the cart before we could make up our minds, too. The whole menu here looks great.

They sat us at a relatively private area since we are here with a toddler that requires a high chair. We ordered the lunch special Kalbitang ($22.99), Bossam set ($23.99), and the spicy chive pancake ($9.99). They provided kids utensil and a plate, which is super helpful even though we didn't ask for it. Our food came after 10-15 min of wait, and there were 10 side dishes (all of them are delicious btw). We also got a side salad and fish cake soup, which might be a lunch special thing? I'm not sure. I'm not a big fan of the salad dressing, but it's complimentary so no complaints there. Everything we ordered was delicious. There were tons of chives in the pancake, and the meat was tender in kalbitang. My toddler also ate a lot of pork, beef, rice, eggs (in kalbitang), and broccoli. The only downside is that there is only one waiter taking care of orders/bills, so it could be a bit slow. However, everyone was friendly to my toddler and a waitress came to check on us in the middle of our meal too. She also smiled at my toddler as well. The only downside is that we asked for tea, but we got water instead. I had to ask again, but that mistake is really minor. I prefer this location over the Lynwood one as that one is always way too busy and super noisy. It's quieter here and the ambiance is better. Overall, we had a good time dining here with our toddler. There is also a changing station in the bathroom as well.

After ordering a beer/soju tower, our server asked for our IDs, which is completely understandable. However, she proceeded to examine them for an uncomfortably long time while repeatedly looking back and forth between my face, my ID, and my sister. She then told me I "don't really look like" my ID photo because my hair is different and even commented that my ID looked more like my sister than me. We're twins! At one point she had both of our IDs side-by-side comparing them while continuing to question things. I finally told her that while I understand validating IDs, the interaction was making me feel like the legitimacy of my ID was being questioned. What made it even more awkward was her repeatedly commenting that the tower we ordered was "a lot of beer," which honestly felt judgmental and unnecessary. We are clearly adults, presented valid IDs, and were simply ordering something from the menu. That said, the actual food was delicious. The BBQ combo we ordered was excellent, the sides were plentiful, and overall the meal itself was really enjoyable. It also seemed like the server realized the interaction had gone poorly because she later brought us complimentary soup and dessert, which we did appreciate. We still tipped well because we understand serving isn't easy and wanted to be fair. But honestly, the initial interaction left such an uncomfortable impression that if I returned and saw the same server again, I'd probably immediately feel uneasy. There's absolutely a professional way to verify IDs without making customers feel scrutinized or subtly accused of fraud.

Get the jjusami! So good! We were two and unable to finish this dish- in fact I had leftover that's…read moremore than enough for one extra meal. We came hungry so it's easily another meal for two. I love that the sauce had the right amount of salt and sugar and not overly sweet. My experience with Korean food had always been on the sweeter side so this dish was perfect for someone who doesn't prefer overly sweet food. The amount of meat and octopus were also super generous. I wish there was a bit of extra char on it but that's personal preference. Pro tip: go right at opening! The places fills up very quickly. Because they are so efficient, we actually got in and out in one hour. We'll be back!!!! Management if you're reading this, kudos to your stellar staff!
