I did an order to pick up after work at 7:30 PM. I ordered Asian Sesame Chicken Salad and Autumn Squash Soup with baguette. The baguette was dry and hard. My salad had no wonton strips included in the bag and barely any dressing. There was a ton of chicken but it was just dry lettuce, almonds, and chicken....no flavor. I have had this salad many times and love it if all the ingredients are there, but this was very disappointing. read more

I never disparage hard working people but my experience here was terrible. I walked in, and the staff was rude. I ordered coffee, but there was none available for 20 minutes. But worst of all, my breakfast sandwich was served to me burnt and dried out. To be polite, I didn't say anything, threw it away, and ordered a different menu item, egg & cheese on ciabatta, and it too was served to me inedible, after having been destroyed in the oven. read more

Road tripping with hubby. Stopped for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Ordering is done by kiosk. You're alerted when your food is ready by text or by a pager you can take to your table. Our food was ready fast, however the Baja Bowl I ordered from the warm bowl menu wasn't warm. It was still good though. read more

Ordered their pick 2, half a salad and sandwich. Got home and was shocked to see the portion of the half salad. It literally looks like someone already ate part of the salad. No exaggerating if a man got this salad it would have beef 4 spoonfuls and all gone. I would have gotten a bigger mmeal and spent $3 less if I went to Chipotle. This is why I have stopped ordering from Panera's. Everytime I say to myself maybe it's just that one time, they prove that I'm wrong again for giving them another try. it's one thing to charge more but have decent portions. it is judt not worth what you pay for. If you order take out, check your bag before leaving. Had I seen the portion I got I would have returned and ask for a refund. The last time I went and probably for quite some time I had a piece of metal or a rock or something in my bread which I ended up chipping my tooth on. Stopped by at 11am on Jan 13 and was greeted by a note on door that said closing at 3 pm due to staff shortage because of coronavirus... walked up to counter and young woman behind counter had her mask under her chin. I hada free delivery & service fee coupon & used to my advantage of trying things I'd put off ordering. So very worth it; well played, Panera, well played. I use to stop here at least once a week. Ordered their Caesar salad and a cup of there soup. The last few times I've the salads are smaller. For the price it's not worth it. I do however enjoy having a cup of coffee or cappuccino sitting in front of the fireplace. The service is great food comes out fast. read more

Wow. We used to go here all the time. Since they have 3 new sandwiches Ronnie decided to try one. He got the BBQ Chicken and was very happy with it. I got the pick 2 and it was half of a ham & Swiss and small Caesar Salad. Both we excellent. My only complaint is the croutons. They were soggy and that is sad. Overall I love this place. CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!! I don't normally write reviews for fast food, but lately it seems to be getting worse. The accuracy that is. I was in York, PA for business. I ordered lunch at Taco Bell in the Galleria Mall, they got it wrong 3 times, I finally gave up and ate what I got. Then Panera for dinner. Wrong again. Maybe it's just the area? I ordered turkey chill and a plan Caesar salad. When I got home (70 miles away) I open my bag to find chips, broccoli cheddar soup (at least I think that's what it was) and a salad with chicken. Since I wasn't going to drive 70 miles back, again, I just ate what I got. The meal wasn't bad, but it wasn't what I ordered either. I also requested a receipt but was told the only one I could get was the one that came with the order. While it showed the amount I paid there was no address or phone number to call to let them know the order was wrong. On the bright side they did get my drink order correct. Okay, our office orders from here at least once per week. It is fairly consistent and their delivery is easily tracked online. The watermelon salad is fabulous. I like being able to grab a healthier lunch on the go. As far as quick, healthier, tasty and affordable, Panera is the best lunch spot in the area. It gets crazy busy at lunch time and getting through the parking lot is a big pain. Thank you for doing the delivery option. No one's lunch break should be annoying traffic and parking lots. Dropped in for the first time in over a year. Couldn't wait to get my cinnamon crunch bagel again. Decided to get 2 cinnamon and 2 blueberry. The counter person sliced them up and popped them in a bag complete with napkins and a plastic knife to spread the cream cheese. Here's where it all fell apart. Despite a sign on the slicer directly in front of the servers face that says "don't forget the cream cheese" I get home to NO cream cheese. Having watched him stuff the bagels in then the napkins and the knife to spread the cream cheese one could only expect the cream cheese to be there as well. But alas my Panera experience fell short. On my way to the grocery store now to buy some cream cheese for the remaining bagels. Yes I ate one of the cinnamons without any cream cheese. Deluxe fast food. Good quality, fast, no tips required. Panera is a pretty good value if you choose wisely. I generally choose, "Pick any Two" menu option and get the Greek salad and a half Sierra Turkey Sandwich. Unfortunately they just increased the price to $6.49. Warning: Signature items cost extra! That being said, water cups are readily available at the soda fountain if you are on a budget or just watching your diet. Free internet access is a bonus. The real value is the food. The Greek salad is basically full size, the half a sandwich could be a serving on it's own, and you even get more bread or an apple as a side. Best of all...everything is fresh and the ingredients are interesting. Sierra Turkey Smoked turkey breast with chipotle mayonnaise, field greens & red onions on our Asiago Cheese Focaccia. I'm a fan of Panera's - always have been even though the service sucks and they usually get it wrong. As of lately I fell out of love with the location closest to me and stopped patronizing. However finding myself in York around lunchtime I gave this location a chance and was not disappointed. First off since they "retired" the beloved Sierra Turkey sandwich I have been going thru withdrawal. "MY" location doesn't like to make it and when they do they can't get the chipotle mayo right (see that review) but this location was ever to happy to make it and the mayo was perfect. In fact even with the changes we made to our orders nothing was done wrong - a Panera's first! On the downside the peanut butter and jelly kids meal was disgusting. It was all jelly and tons of it! Too messy for a toddler to eat as it oozed out from the bread, but once I brought it to their attention they were happy to replace it with a different meal free of charge. This location also brings the food to your table, as well as does clean up. The staff there were exceptional and very friendly for a Panera's. It was clean and although crowded they had a good system down to manage the flow and keep people from blocking the doorway - a huge problem at the Fruitville Pike location. Definitely will be back, and although this is a good distance from my house and several towns away will be considered my "go-to" location. read more

Stopped in with my wife and baby for dinner. The place was almost empty on Sunday at around 7:45. We both got the you pick two. I had the cuban chicken panini and chicken tortilla soup. My wife ordered the Bacon Turkey Bravo and baked potato soup. the panini was very tasty with nice spice flavors and the soup was also well seasoned and had plenty of corn and other veggies. The baked potato soup was delicious if a little on the heavy side. I enjoyed a taste of my wife's sandwich too. The place is clean and the food was good but the service was a little off. The cashier seemed like she wasn't into it and didn't give me my drink. There was clanking of dishes later that gave the impression that they wanted to close. I like this better than the other panera's, but only marginally. read more

Ordering was a little off, they forgot to give me my table locator, i order a salad and mac n cheese, both with avocado and none of them had them. I love Panera's food. It's my go to place. I love that they've recently added the deliver to your table option. This Panera also has the kiosks were you can order on the screens. I love the bowls at this location, the cup of soup seemed larger. It was really nice inside, love their pictures choices. The staff were really friendly. The parking lot is large (next to the Walmart so it's busy). The only thing I'd suggest is the women's bathroom needs a real good scrub (the tiles are turning black) and maybe even an upgrade. It's not as nice as most Panera locations, pretty small as well. It was pretty busy at lunch time. I think it's a great spot for business meetings and lots of families seemed to be enjoying themselves. read more

I am all ready a huge fan of Panera however this one in East York definitely went above my expectations! Was in there Tues. First off I was 20 mins early for my quick pickup and seeing me sitting there got them to moving my time up and hussling my order. Then an older woman with a pastry went walking by and some how managed to drop her plate. She picked her pastry up and was perfectly content to go ahead and eat it but a Panera employee came to her with another pastry and took the dropped one away. Kindness X10! read more

Worst Panera Bread we've every been to. We are here from out of town at a tournament and thought we'd swing by real quick and grab our usual. Nothing was quick, the order was completely wrong, and when I asked if there was plasticware in the bag (knowing that another customer had to ask the same guy for it since it was empty at the takeout cart), he replied "yes's. Liar!! My daughter ordered a dry sandwich with no slaw, just turkey and cheese. It was soaked in sauce and covered in slaw. My sandwich was 1/2 from the you pick 2. They didn't even use the same slice of bread to make my sandwich one piece was the end of the bread and the other piece was a much larger piece which made the sandwich quite messy to eat. We would have gone back for breakfast, but that store isn't getting one more dime of my money. Horrible!! read more

Overall a good place to stop at for coffee, pastries and a solid meal. Some staff could be a little more proficient, but that is to be expected with a mostly younger work force. My only true gripe is that it needs to be kept more clean around coffee bar. read more
