turkey bacon bravo sandwich
Shannon C.

Ordered the turkey bacon bravo sandwich and this is the smallest piece of bread ever.... Even the cheese is bigger then the bread... not worth the money. Also they have that they're open till 9pm everyday and they're not. They turned me away the other night when I went there around 7pm saying their closed. I showed the girl that it said 9pm on the website, when you call in, and on yelp and she had nothing to say. Poor management

Crumbs on tables.

The cleanliness of the building is disappointing. Dirty booths, crumbs on the table and floor. We arrived and tried ordering to support a fundraiser- the girl didn't know how to help us so she got the manager- he wasn't very friendly- but took our order- then forgot our drink cups, didn't give us a pager. M Our food took 20 minutes to come out, and only one person out of the 6 behind the counter apologized, and frankly looked like she was the only one working. Our food came out warm, nothing was hot. Not a location of Panera we plan to come back too.

From the hours they are open to the quality of the prepared food, this Panera is really having trouble.

Very few bagels left before 9am!

It has taken me a while to consider conducting another review of this Panera Store(located on Queen Street in York, PA) but I believe it is time. I have been to this store dozens of times over the last year and I leave disappointed more than satisfied. First, let's talk about the food: I have counted at least 36 mornings where I have visited to pick up bagels only to be told, "We are out!", and they do so rather happily . They simply cannot manage themselves to properly prepare each day a sufficient enough bagels to meet demand and bagels are a primary food item for their breakfast menu! Don't believe me, I have attached photos taken BEFORE 9am on two mornings that I arrived and they are out. Couple the lack of food with the bad service (especially on weekends!!) it is a double whammy! For example, I like to walk up and place my order at the register. They don't like talking to customers as I have been told on more than one occasion to put my order in on the kiosk. Even better, on more one occasion and after waiting for several minutes for an employee to appear to take my order, I have someone walk up and ask me, "Do you need something?" I am like, "Really, is this that difficult to understand why I am standing here?" I do caveat this by noting, there are some really good workers there, however, they are outnumbered by the ones that don't care and haven't been properly trained. This is clear when you walk through the dinning area as it is usually dirty. It is clear this stores management team cares more about the catering side of the business than building a cadre of trusted neighborhood customers. I highly recommend going to either Panera in West York or East York where the food and service is SO much better.

Nasty ass coffee

Disgraceful. My salad dressing was NOT up to par with my standards and my kids hate the food. I'm pissed.

The young lady at the counter was extremely patient with our complicated order and even later tended to a service request made by one of us.

My wife had the fish and chips. Food was good and plentiful. Service was very good, ate with some old friends, there was no rush, they gave us plenty of space. The menu is varied, specials are not typical fare, but also do not become science projects like so many "creations" do. The food is left to speak for itself. Affordable. Two small criticisms, can be loud in certain areas. They are very accommodating in moving you. The parking lot. Walking over the bridge can be an issue with cars. Worth the trip.

The broth is rich and deeply savory, the cheese pull is perfect, and the crispy rings add a texture you never knew the classic was missing. The pork chop remains the star of the menu--huge, expertly seasoned, and cooked with precision. It's widely considered the best in the city, and honestly might be the best in the state. Juicy, tender, and full of flavor, it's the kind of entrée you end up recommending to friends for weeks. Their octopus is another standout, prepared with surprising delicacy. Tender, not chewy, with a perfect char that adds just the right amount of smokiness. It's balanced, refined, and one of the most memorable small plates you'll find locally. And don't leave without dessert--the crème brûlée is phenomenal. Silky smooth custard under a flawlessly torched sugar crust that cracks just right. Simple, classic, and executed perfectly. Between the inventive dishes and the warm atmosphere, The First Post remains a must-visit for anyone who loves great food done exceptionally well.

Some Paneras are better than others because of the people and this one is terrific! I had lunch…read morewith several friends today and the gal at the register, Sarah, was an absolute delight. I've met her before but she was so helpful and friendly to me and my friends today I just had to mention it! Panera sandwiches are very good. I had my standard smokehouse chicken sandwich. It is a perfect blend of chicken, melted cheese, paper thinly sliced red onions and just the right amount of a delish smoky bbq sauce. Just perfect! The seasonal autumn squash soup is delicious. A nice change from the tomato soup I love. One friend had a harvest salad and said it was excellent, as usual. Other friend had a cheddar and turkey sandwich that looked pretty good. Terrific with a bowl of tomato soup that's always great. Coffee and tea are fresh and free refills of all drinks help make Panera a nice place for relaxing and chatting. Glad to say this is my favorite Panera. Give it a try next time you're in West York. Thanks, Sarah, for being you!

The whole place was clean and finally had decaf coffee ready for self serve. I don't know what changed as we come there about once a month. I think things have improved greatly . Everyone of the 6 at our table loved thoer food and commented how good it was. Keep up the good work and thank your great employees. They are so much better than just a few months ago. The food was delicious! I love your salads. I don't eat salads out at restaurants because I don't feel well on them but for years have always felt good after one of your salads. Thank you!
