The following is review with some "ups and downs". The ups begin with the entrance. Quite a few steps on the front, but the sign says use the entrance to the side. Still two steps over there. So in fact, there is no handicap access for someone in a wheelchair. Fortunately, I am able to use a cane and was able to ascend a few stairs to the interior. Inside is a small restaurant with a counter for ordering and a handful of tables for seating if eating there. We stood at the order counter several minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence. In their defense, they were busy filling orders, placing to go orders on their warming area, and continuing to cook. Finally, the "cook" looked over & said, "I apologize for the wait, we'll will be with you in a minute." The young person who finally took our order seemed a bit inexperienced, but we weren't in much of a rush. Nevertheless, there still were several slip ups in our order. My wife ordered a BLT. When they asked if she wanted it on white or wheat, she said, "white, please, toasted and no onion." What she didn't realize (my wife) was that white or wheat meant a brioche style hamburger bun not traditional sliced bread. That was not clear until we asked after being served -- and were told they don't use "regular bread". Second hiccup in this order was that while the sandwich had a wonderful abundance of bacon... I mean a load!... Somehow they not only left off the onion but also was no tomato! It ended up being a bacon, lettuce and mayo sandwich on a bun. So back to the counter to ask them for several slices of tomato. (Apology accepted.) My order was for a Philly-style cheesesteak with Cooper cheese. It came very hot, juicy, and quite yummy. In fact, it was too big for me to finish. So once again, the general generosity with fillings and toppings was top-notch. Prices were very reasonable and I would encourage you to go and try it. If in the area, we likely will come back as well. As a side note, my wife worked as a server at this restaurant 68 years ago when she was a teenager! Pretty solid sandwiches at a local sandwich shop not far off of Route 30 in Wrightsville. Not incredibly fast so recommend the online ordering if you are in a rush. We all got variants of their Italian sandwiches and I got the chopped Italian which I had never seen before and it was great. Very nice staff. read more

After ordering for years from the Father's pizza shop in Columbia, we decided to give the son's location a try. Well, we were not impressed and will not go back. We thought the subs and steak sandwiches were over priced and we were disappointed with the amount of meat in the sandwiches. We will continue to order from the Father's location in Columbia and appreciate the Father's hard work and dedication to his business. Also, we thought the subs and steak sandwich did not have any taste. I also am disappointed in the owner, he pats himself on the back after donating rolls to a food bank and doesn't miss a beat posting his donations on line. read more

Just tried Riverside out for the first time today after seeing them on social media several times in the past. I can confidently say I was not disappointed, the subs were incredible! Plenty of different styles and variety of subs on the menu that sound delicious and worth a try. Gave the Fried Pickle Cheeseburger Sub a try and everything on it was immaculate. The meat, toppings, and sauces were all tasteful and plentiful throughout the sub. My wife got a chicken cheesesteak with just cheese and mayo which was filled with chicken. Will definitely make numerous return visits back to Riverside to try out more of their vast menu! read more

Great chopped cheese steak subs. Large enough we could share. Street parking only, right along Rt 462 in town.

Came in to place order. Should be first come first serve. Had me waiting in person for 45 minutes when they told me 20 to 25 minutes. Messed up all my plans. Will not be going back. Long review: I have ordered here like 8 times and wanted to try a lot before reviewing. Overall this is a cool shop but there are some flaws to me personally and that's what I'll share. I actually never run into problems here ordering except when it's cheese fries. Every time we order cheese fries over the phone probably 3-4 times, we are given mozzarella sticks. I can look past this a lot but it just keeps happening and it is really annoying. Being a Philly native the cheesesteaks are the most replicated in the Wrightsville Lancaster area. But some sandwiches I've gotten can be really dry, they will load your sandwhich up with extra meat but will not use extra cheese to make up for that. Atleast that's what it tastes like l. The price is expensive but the portions are big so that's not a problem in my eyes. I'm just gonna start eating in the shop to make sure I get my correct order but other than that If you are in the area I recommend checking it out. read more

As a former over the road marketing rep and UPS driver, I've tried many sandwich shops across PA. Today I had the "Lucas' Lucky Reuben" and it was literally the best specialty sandwich I've ever eaten. I rarely ever eat the entire roll but just couldn't resist. I asked if there chicken Parmesan sub was real chicken he said yes mam it's fried chicken breast no it's not it's chicken like McDonald's nuggets! First time here! Excellent! I had the panini Which was awesome! Other half had the Italian sub he is hard to please and said it was awesome!

New sub shop in Wrightsville and today was their soft opening. Wasn't able to try a sub as they ran out of rolls but as we were driving there they updated their Facebook page to say the same - so kudos for the updated communication. Ordered a grilled chicken salad and it was very good! I liked how the chicken was chopped and all the lettuce was fresh and in bite size pieces - no knife needed to eat the salad. There was real bacon crumbled on top, and also Kalamata olives which I really like. The provolone cheese they use is very flavorful and the tomatoes were fully ripe and red. The salads are served with packets of Ken's Salad Dressing. Inviting atmosphere with friendly service. The interior of the shop was cheerful and clean. I will return to try a sub and I also saw they have paninis and Italian dinners - a lot more on the menu than just subs. read more

Drove some distance to eat here. The food was perfect. Excited to come back and try some different things.

We were excited to try this new sub shop and it did not disappoint! The renovations they did are great - place is bright, clean, and well maintained. Service was friendly and our food was prepared quickly but with good care. We split the Italian club toasted sub and the fried pickle cheeseburger sub. Both were delicious, made with good quality meats and cheeses. As we finished our meals, they brought us two cannoli for dessert. Everything was delicious - we can't wait to come back to try the cheesesteaks! read more

First visit. Had two subs, fries and corn fritters. Everything was very good. Subs not soggggggggy and had moderately amount of meat, food veggies. Fries were hot and crispy. Corn fritters were sweet, hot and excellent and a nice quantity for the price. Order was flawless. We will return. read more
