I got to say they didn't disappoint us (per usual). If you haven't been here, go immediately because it is amazing! We went on Saturday afternoon, and all the tables were mostly sat, but there wasn't a line...yet. Almost every time we go, there is a long line and the place is packed, so we got lucky this time. When you walk in, it is always spotless and you can see their massive and beautiful kitchen, which is on display for everyone. They always have plenty of staff to take care of everyone, which is funny because they don't really wait on you at your table. You order at the front and then sit at a table to wait for them to bring it out. If they aren't too busy, they will walk around and refill drinks, but when it's busy they all seem to have another job to fulfill, which is fine because you can go get your own refills. Once we ordered and paid, we were able to easily find a seat, which is sometimes tricky during a rush because some people find seats before ordering, which they ask you not to do because there are others that will get their food before you. I got to say even when waiting for a table, we've never had food arrive before we got one. So just follow suit everyone, wait for those tables until after you order, just smoothes out the process for everyone. I did get a chance to check the bathroom out, which is in the back and you have to walk down a poorly lit hallway so my hopes kind of dropped a bit based on that, but once I opened the door, it too was spotless. Smelled like they kept air fresheners in there and definitely didn't follow the vibe of the hallway leading to it. I didn't go into the west side building, but I have been before and its just more seating with a slightly different vibe than the main part. All in all, this place is just great, they keep it really clean, even with the massively exposed kitchen, and they are fast for the great food they produce. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for here. We ordered burrata cheese with the tomatoes and toast, a pistachio pizza (yes you read that right, pistachio), and a vegetable bowl with chicken added for some protein. Most of you might be thinking this doesn't sound like the easiest thing to eat with a 1 year old...well she loved it all! The burrata cheese has such a creamy delicious center to spread on the toast (one downside is the toast is never cut all the way through) and the sweet tomatoes add the perfect balance to this appetizer. Our daughter wouldn't dare give up her piece of toast. The pistachio pizza sounds weird, but it's a pistachio pesto sauce they place under the cheese and then they add basil, spicy sausage, and hot honey drizzles. Just thinking about it again makes my mouth water! This pizza is a thin crust cooked in a brick oven (you all know I love that) and it has a small kick to it with that sausage and honey. Just enough to let you know there's a bit of heat on it all. Finally, the vegetable bowl, which was the only thing to get our daughter to finally put that bread down. It was full of brussels sprouts, carrots, squash, and the chicken we added. The chicken was soft and succulent, just cooked to perfection, and the veggies were all roasted beautifully and seasoned with some sort of magical, super addictive seasoning. When I tell you all this, it will sound weird, but our daughter loved (and I can't express that word enough here) the brussels sprouts, don't worry we took photo evidence lol. She ate all the different veggies and chicken in the bowl, but she literally started dancing in her seat each time she grabbed a Brussel sprout. They have them halved, and then she just kept eating them like that, which scared us at first, but she figured it out and fell in love with them. Even the next day, when we reheated the bowl for her (we used a skillet with some water to steam them all again) she still loved those brussels sprouts. If all that amazing food isn't enough for you, they have a dessert area as well, with cheesecakes, macaroons, and freshly made gelato. We didn't get any dessert this time but we have before and I think the macaroons were our favorite. We've had some in Vegas before and they didn't even compare to this local shop in our humble city of Evansville. So a tip of the hat to whoever bakes those! The gelato is great too, I took some pictures of the flavors available when we went, but I know they switch them up frequently. Even if you don't get dinner here, it's a great place for a quick dessert date or just grab some macaroons to go, we've done it a few times. read more

This place is great! Our family visited on a Thursday night and the place was hopping. They offer several different pizza styles and Asian style dishes. I enjoyed a neopolitan veggie pizza with gluten free crust. It was delicious! The crust was perfectly done. My husband enjoyed the pistachio pizza and said it's one of the best pizzas he's ever had. My daughter had pasta. They have a hand crafted soda machine to choose from and a delicious dessert bar with a wide variety of cakes, cookies, and gelato. Highly recommended! Enjoy! Updated to respond to business owner: The restaurant was great. We weren't really clear on what to do at first and then stumbled upon the menu on the table. Someone must have noticed after a few minutes of awkward standing that we needed help. She was great! We ordered pasta with butter for my daughter. Asked for it 'plain' with butter and it came out with Parmesan. Not that big of a deal but she didn't realize it and took a big bite and it didn't go so well for her. She can't eat cheese. The cheese blended in well and she didn't realize it at first. We weren't angry but didn't expect that since we had asked for it plain. read more

Fantastic pizza place in Evansville with authentic Neapolitan style pies. Certainly the best pizza in town and probably the best pizza in the state. I have not had their Asian food but have heard from others that it is fantastic. Service is quick and the people are friendly. They're pretty busy on the weekends and I wish they had more seating in the front of the restaurant but other than that I have no critiques. They also have gelato and some other desserts which are always delicious as well. read more

Was recommended by the front desk at TownePlace Suites. I'm glad we used their recommendations as we had a great meal at Pangea Kitchen. My husband and I enjoyed our pizzas with our chosen toppings. He chose the Detroit style pizza and thoroughly enjoyed the deep dish and the crispness around the outside. I chose a Neapolitan pizza with sausage and caramelized onions. I'm glad I added the burrata to the pizza as it rounded out the flavor. I have to admit I was disappointed the crust was not crispy as I expected it be considering it was cooked at such a high temperature. We ordered the Bibb Tossed Salad, which was freshly made and had a wonderful taste. It went perfectly with our pizzas. They offer Gelato, Pastries and an Espresso Bar for an after meal enjoyment. The food itself wasn't bad, but the setup was very strange and the soda was maybe the worst I've ever had. I tried multiple from the machine to no avail then decided to just drink water, which was also a problem because they don't have a place to get it yourself. So every time I finished my small glass of water I have to go back to the counter and wait until someone can pour me more. Should have been way better for the price. read more

Good pie, bad Thai. Last night my wife and I went here for dinner. It was a random Tuesday night in the middle of October, but the place was packed to the gills. There was no indoor seating left, so we were forced to sit outside. It had rained earlier in the day, and the tables and chairs hadn't been wiped down yet, so they were still wet, and it was a bit chilly. I got the Knuckle Ball. She got the Pad Ka Pao. It took an uncomfortably long time (about 30 minutes) for the food to come out, and I'm not exactly certain what the hold up was, but it probably was just a function of the place being popular. My pie was good. It was heavy on the sauce (I consider this a positive), the sauce was delicious, and the crust was just the correct amount of done. The sliced meatballs were surprisingly scarce though, and I was expecting less honey, which made the whole thing a bit too sweet. Not the best pie I've ever had, but it was certainly top 20%. However, my wife's Pad Ka Pao had a weird garnish topping (which according to my wife tasted like "wood shavings"), the sauce was thicker than Thai Chicken typically has (more like a Chinese style sauce than a Thai one), and left a weird aftertaste. It was perhaps the worst Thai food either of us had ever had. Sometimes less is more. And in this case, I think this would be a much better restaurant if they just didn't try to make Thai food. Probably 4 star for the wait, and the tables, assuming that the somewhat poor service was an aberration, given that it happened to be very busy, or 3 stars if it's regularly like this. I don't know if the night was the normal amount of busy, but if it is, I'll probably be avoiding this place. read more

This place does it right. Eclectic world menu that has made from scratch food that enlightens the pallet. Most recently had the "Detroit" style pizza (The Butcher) and was blown away by its performance. I am from Detroit and was raised on Detroit style pizza. I was hesitant to get it in an area not named Detroit, but let me tell you it did not disappoint. Definitely Top 3 in this category and very comparable to the two heavy weights from Detroit. By far the #1 spot in Evansville. I've tried lots of spots while visiting this weekend and this is for sure the only spot worth going to, considerable Evansville doesn't have too many great foodie spots. I absolutely loved everything about this place. Cute market with an espresso bar and gelaterie/desserts. I got the roasted vegetables with chicken added. Let me just say that I will for sure crave this specific meal again in the future. The bowl had Brussel sprouts, carrots, butternut squash and this sweet soy sauce (I asked for it on the side). Absolutely incredible. Pretty big portion, I took half to go. The staff was super friendly and immediately welcoming as soon as we walked in. This is not a fusion restaurant but a place where you can order different variety of food, pizza, Thai noodle dishes, gelato, cheese dishes..... Burrata toast $10 - 5 stars This is an eye candy and a good value. Normally burrata appetizer will cost about $14 to $18 in most restaurants. Here is $10 with a sizable burrata, top with amazing toasted peppers and comes with a warm loaf of bread. Khao Soi (curry noodle soup) $12 - 3 stars Not served with authentic noodle but with Italian pasta. It has good flavor and the pasta is al dente. Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodle) $9 - 4 stars Again, served with the same pasta as Khao Soi but with a strong sauce. Pretty good. The decor is pretty nice with outside seating too. read more

I prefer the Neapolitan pizza to the Detroit style, and there's always very little wait with it. Also, every ingredient is fresh and the dough is made as you watch. Don't know where to start ?????? Dumb concept Possibly the most poorly thought out concept I have ever come across. No servers and no viable menu to look at when ordering. No viable drink menu. Your meal needs to be ordered at multiple counters. The display deli case is being used as a production refer. More 17 to 18 year old workers than customers on a Friday night at 6 pm all without hair restraints and most were performing food production tasks. Many on cell phones without hand washing. 3.50 for a cold cup of espresso that was undrinkable. Pizza heart is in the right place and someone is an awesome baker but absolutely no customer service skills in the heats and minds of the people bankrolling this disaster. read more

I went in this month with a friend. It was cute but it was not what I was expecting at all. I wish it was the type of restaurant that you sit down and are waited on and I guess that's what I was expecting. The fact that that is not it had me disappointed. I got the drunken noodles which were good but I thought they were missing something extra like perhaps salt but there was no salt or pepper at the tables. I would still go back and that I would recommend it to other people but if I went back I would have to try something new. read more
