I am so excited to have this place as an option for regular delivery or catering delivery in my area! Found this gem through EZCater and I'm so glad that I did. Was able to place a decent sized order about 6 hours before it was needed (another caterer declined due to the time crunch), so I was relieved that not only were they able to accommodate the order, but it came a bit early! Yes, they were missing a couple of items, but they were super gracious and apologetic about it. Everything was presented very well, hot, and most importantly, delicious. Perfectly seasoned and cooked garlic parmesan wings, LOVE the Caesar dressing for the salad--I was using it on my sandwiches it was so good, and of course, the paninis were wonderful, fresh.. and tasty. Got a mix of the turkey and brie that came with apple and honey mustard... philly cheesesteak that was delicious with peppers and onions, and the Italian chicken with perfect chicken cutlets, mozzarella, red peppers, and sweet balsamic glaze to balance it out. First time I really enjoyed my panini P5 without sweet peppers. The Philly steak was so good. The owner was there and he was so nice and patient since I was extremely indecisive. Ordered 3 paninis, Brussels sprouts, disco fries and tomato basil soup and it came to $67. For me that's outrageous. I again had the turkey and Brie panini and it had two slices of Brie, really? I don't mind spending money on food, the food was good. Nothing spectacular. But I couldn't afford to eat here with a family of three. The original menu we had, which was sometime around Covid was about $9 for a panini and now they are about $13. Didn't think the service was all that friendly. Food is still very good. Service is friendly and polite. Facility is clean and healthy. Orders are always ready quickly, when promised, and correct. Some reviewers don't seem to understand that a Panini is not going to appear overstuffed like a cold deli sandwich on a roll. They are PRESSED. The ingredients are all there, as listed in the menu, but the sandwich is heated and pressed to the point it looks skinny. I just ordered a P25 Prosciutto and Mozz, Mrs. I had the P5 Philly Cheese Steak. Lots of quality meat! We both were very satisfied with the content, quality, and quantity of ingredients. And the onion rings are excellent. The 3.75% credit card (issue on my previous review) charge is gone. I hope the people who get extremely upset when they see this charge understand that 1) it is a legitimate cost to the business, that has to be recovered, and 2) if it isn't being added to the bill at the end, it's certainly built into the menu cost of the items. Offering it as an "add-on" to the bill allows those who use cash to not pay a credit card fee. But most people apparently don't understand. My solution is to use a credit card that has a 3% "reward" on dining. read more

Let's just start with nice atmosphere. They took a little pizza shack and turned it into a beautiful looking bakery and deli (as i would describe it). All the workers are courteous, kind, and friendly. You can tell everyone is customer first. One time I forgot a coupon from a flyer and one of the owners said don't worry about it and gave me the discount and told me to use the coupon the next time. (Great business accumen) I have been here 4 times, 3 in person and once for delivery, every time the food has been fresh and delicious. There belly buster breakfast sandwich is out of this world loaded with flavor and the way all the contents of the sandwich are layered is a work of art. See pictures below, any where else the contents of the sandwich would be falling all over the place and sloppy, but this place takes the time to do it right! They have anything to satisfy your cravings and use there own bread. French fries are always crispy, wraps are filling, the subs are excellent and they use boars head meats. Salads are very large enough; to feed 2 to 3 people and the Panini's are awesome. There is free delivery if you're local and they just open up their second location in Matawan. Never disappointing with this place so glad it's so close by. They also have a loyalty program where if you earn 50 points you get about five dollars off of your next order and it's a really great savings. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF MY LIFE! I tried placing an order for pickup at the Matawan location not realizing it is not open yet. I did not realize that the website redirected me to the Spotswood location and when I arrived for pickup in Matawan and noticed it was closed, I gave them a call. They were extremely understanding and offered to meet me at this location with my food. The owner Paul drove over 20 minutes to deliver my order. Upon arrival he threw in a free loaf of bread and refused to take the tip. What's even better is that the food was still hot when we got home! The artichoke francaise appetizer, Italian veggie panini and chicken pesto panini were all delicious! I will definitely be ordering from here again in the future. We typically order wings, wraps, paninis and fries but the occasional burger and cheesesteak too. Everything we've had has been fantastic. The bread is fresh and delicious and they also have truffle fries! You can tell they care about their take-out packaging. Everything arrives neatly packed and labeled, and we've never received a wrong order. The attention to detail is refreshing as we've had wrong orders in the past from other restaurants in the area. Delivery has also been quick and on time. I'd love to try more on the menu but I'm obsessed with their eggplant panini and mango habanero wings that it is hard to pick something else! This place is super close to me, and the menu looked awesome, so I really wanted to love it. Unfortunately, it just missed too many times. Bacon, egg and cheese was only offered on a plain bagel on the website, and I'm an everything bagel guy. The quality of the bacon was poor, and the bagel was super dense. This may be the only BEC I didn't finish in my entire life. I did the prosciutto with broccoli rabe and goat cheese panini. The broccoli rabe was cooked properly, and even though there was a good amount of proscuitto in the sandwich, it just wasn't salty enough. The bread didn't get enough of a toast from the panini press, which was a bummer, so the whole sandwich was just kinda "meh." I had a bite of my wife's brie, turkey, apple sandwich, which I had high hopes for because it is similar to a sandwich called the babe from A&S pork store. Not enough honey mustard, and same issue with the bread. We tried the lobster bisque and broccoli cheese soup. Lobster bisque was actually pretty ok- more sweet cream flavor and a subtle lobster flavor, with no lobster chunks, but pretty good. Broccoli cheese is not like panera, it is thick with broccoli and you have to chew every bite. I didn't love it, as I prefer the panera style, but it was edible. The loaf of bread we bought was stale in 1 day. Wife got a chocolate chip muffin that only had chips on the top, none in the muffin. That said, the muffin was still pretty good. She also got me a sfogliatelle that was awesome- best thing we ordered. At the end of the day, I'm just not sure what I would go back here for. It's main item are paninis I don't want. A bakery is going to give me more options for pastries, and panera has better soup and bread. You can "make your own" for many of the options, which allows me to make my perfect vegetarian wrap or panini without feeling annoying and asking to remove an item and add another. The side of the dipping sauce literally tasted like dishwater. Incredibly bad. And, it came ice cold as though it were previously frozen. The roast beef was sparse to say the least. A breaded chicken sandwich was tough to chew. I am a small business owner so I do not like to write critical reviews of other small businesses unless I feel they truly deserve them. Now you have a Panini place there - where the owner thinks this is the best place around for baked goods/sandwiches/burgers/paninis........ I've tried Paninis at other places and can't compare to Panini bistro. The bread they use is phenomenal and I think that makes any sandwich. Customer service is exceptional which is rare in today's world. I always read other reviews and I find it amusing how people say 'it's a little bit pricey'. I don't think these individuals know what it takes to run a business especially A restaurant and after Covid. If they did they would understand margins.
