The Mediterranean salad was outstanding, and the avocado salad was absolutely delicious. The dressing was so good you'll want to savor every last bite! This is my first time here at Panini Kabob Grill from Arizona. The food is flavorful and you can tell they put a lot of love into their food. My girlfriends and i shared the platter with chicken and koobideh. I'm not a fan of chicken but it was very flavorful and tender. The koobideh was juicy and delicious! I'm usually a fan of this restaurant and typically come for dinner, so I was really disappointed with my lunch experience today. I ordered the date salad for $15 and unfortunately, it was extremely underwhelming. The salad was mostly lettuce with very little of the other ingredients. I received two wilted strawberries, with one cut into four tiny pieces, and there was no dressing included. When I went back in to ask for it, I was initially told that it was already in the salad, only for them to realize that it wasn't and bring it out. I also specifically ordered Tucson bread, which made me wonder if the lunch orders were even being carefully read. Overall, the salad looked like it had been thrown together without much care or attention to presentation. I understand that lunch may have a different staff than dinner, because I've had much better experiences here in the past. But for $15, I expect a salad with a reasonable amount of the advertised ingredients and a little more care in its preparation. Unfortunately, today's lunch was really disappointing. read more

I honestly didn't know much about this place back when I lived in LA, but I finally got the chance to try it recently and I'm glad I did! I'm a big fan of Mediterranean food, so when I came here with some coworkers for lunch, I was excited to check it out. We started with the trio hummus appetizer, and wow, I didn't realize hummus could have so many different flavors! It was a fun way to try a little bit of everything, and each one was delicious. For my entree, I ordered the Chicken Artichoke Pesto Pasta. I do wish it came with a little more chicken, but overall it was still flavorful and satisfying. No complaints about the taste! The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and since it wasn't very busy when we visited, our food came out pretty quickly. Always a plus when you're grabbing lunch during a workday. This is definitely a great spot for a quick bite, lunch with friends or coworkers, or even larger groups since they have plenty of seating available. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. I like the Panini Kabob, usually the price is affordable for the amount of food you get and its an easy way to split a dish with another person. I recently visited and didn't like that they charge over $20 for one skewer of Lamb and half od the skewer is tomato and onion. It was like 3 or 4 pieces. Was not worth it for the price. But the flavor was nice and the salad and rice were good. I usually love the hummus trio on the appetizer menu but for some reason they tasted fizzy. I have only experienced this before with their hummus when I leave it sitting in the fridge for a few days then it expires. But fresh from the restaurant kitchen and it's fizzy? That was a bit weird. All in all, I would return. The service is always friendly and the food usually tastes good. That being said, I would not order the lamb or the hummus again. read more

We have been coming here for years, not tons but it always is so good! Inside is clean, and perfect for a casual dining experience for two or for the whole family. All of the items on the menu are great, and cooked fresh! This time I ordered the chicken soup and side Mediterranean salad because I wasn't super hungry, and they were great! We also ordered the Pesto Panini which was a first for us and o m g it was soooo good! I love all of their appetizers, so if you want one definitely get one!! What I can't accept is paying more while receiving significantly smaller portions. The manager (Giselle) and corporate (Anthony) insisted the portions are the same. A recommendation from a neighbor who eats here frequently they go to and to try this restaurant . We went here today for lunch. My wife had the pesto linguine with chicken and I had a mixed plate combo of chicken and beef sirloin with a side salad. Just a note that if you want to substitute the chicken for beef in the pesto linguine entre the waitress said she couldn't do it. I said I would pay extra for the meat beef, but she said she couldn't do and or she couldn't do it on her order taker handheld machine. We thought that was kind of odd. But she was very nice and did not want to make an issue about it . when our orders came, my wife gave me her chicken and I gave her some of my ground sirloin kebab. So doing that my wife was satisfied. She also had a glass of their red wine that she thought was very good. As you enter the restaurant, the restaurant is very clean having a woodsy Mediterranean feel to it. We did not get a chance to inspect the bathrooms like we usually do at places we go to, but because we saw the front of the house looking clean, the bathrooms were probably the same. It would be nice if they could turn up the air conditioning inside the restaurant because for us the ceiling fans just wasn't enough to be comfortable. read more

My cousins & hubby had sandwich & salad or soup combo. Everyone was content with their food. What lacked was the service. They were nice & friendly enough but our waiter changed in the middle of our meal - the first waiter brought the second waiter to inform us - but after that they never came by to check on us. I had to flag down 3 different people to finally get a refill on my water and they only refilled my cup. My husband's water cup had less than 1/5 left & my cousins' coke & lemonade were both at the bottom of the cups. Then waiter didnt even ask if anyone else wanted refill on their drinks. And it was a HOT day. Then again nobody comes around to even ask if we wanted our bill. My husband went up and paid. Je still tipped 20% & I was like "...for what???" They really did not earn their tip as none of them seemed to care about their customers which reflects they do not value their jobs. I probably will not return to this location. read more

Martha made it a 5 star experience. We have gone there several times over the past few years and always enjoyed the food but never had good service. A person would show up with a iPod and say he was the waiter . He would record the order and not show up again until the end with the bill. There was never personalized service. Comically bad service. We waited outside in the sun just to be acknowledged by the host, then waited again to be seated -- despite many open tables. We were placed in a tucked-away niche under a loud speaker for no apparent reason. Even after asking to move to a table in the open area, service never recovered. Long waits to take drink orders, long waits for the drinks themselves, and another long wait just to place a food order. Our glasses sat empty most of the meal. A food runner brought our cup of soup quickly, which gave us false hope. Unfortunately, four different requests for drink refills and salad dressing to others all yielded nothing. They only arrived after I stood up at the front counter and flagged down our server. Even then, staff seemed indifferent and disengaged. The shish kebab was excellent -- credit where due -- but the service overshadowed everything. When paying, the server apologized but blamed being "short-staffed." That wasn't accurate; we counted five servers in a half-full restaurant. Not taking responsibility sealed it. We won't return to this location. read more

Yes, if you want a warm bowl of amazing soup, that includes fresh vegetables, and incredible chicken that melts in your mouth, come to this place. The soup is their famous "Chicken Soup," and is incredible. I have no idea how they make it seem so fresh with crunchy veggies. All I know is it is worth a trip just to taste this soup. I go to Panini a lot, at least once a week and I usually go to the one off of Michelson drive in Irvine. This time we went to the one in Los Alivos because it was on our way home. I've loved Panini for a long time- my family loves to get the combo for 4 here takeout. Their food is always a little burnt and I've never minded too much, but this particular recent time was just way too burnt to eat. We cut off all the black parts and by the time we were done, basically nothing was left. I'm not sure if the food is supposed to be like this but seems a little unhealthy to be consuming this much burnt food. I'm a big fan of Panini Kebab as all my reviews for them indicate but something happened to this location. I think there may be a rat in the kitchen. Periodically someone cuts the size of the portions in the back, half of the grilled vegetables from orders and sometimes even dropping portions of the grilled meats. Twice they sent me moldy food when I ordered delivery. I used to order from them weekly, then one week they sent me moldy pita bread. I threw it away and figured it was a one-off event. My son loves their food so we ordered it again a week or two later. After serving my 1yr old pita bread and hummus I discovered mold in the hummus!
