I came here for a quick lunch. I ordered the Francisco Panini. The place is clean. The menu is large but not exactly the healthiest. I wish I prefers ahead because the wait was forever and the place wasn't packed. It was nice they the panini came with a side salad. I ordered the pesto pasta salad. It kills me to write this ... I've been coming to Pantano's for years, and for a while it was my main spot for food. However, the quality of this place has really taken a dive. The price was always pricey but I continued to come here because I loved the sandwiches and the portions . Today was my very last straw as I ordered 4 sandwiches ( 1 egg and cheese, 1 egg white wrap with turkey and cheese , one turkey ( maple honey turkey ) and one Turkey sandwich with bacon and egg,) my total was $50 . A bit expensive but like I mentioned as long as it's a good portion I didn't mind. When I got home I was so disappointed, my wife's egg sandwich had one slice of turkey , and my son's Turkey sandwich and mine had so little turkey and shredded into bits. when I called because I was curious on the portion size, I was told that they give 1/3 pound per turkey sandwich when I received was much less than that. 1/3 lbs should equal to roughly 5ounces , for reference, I received closer to 2 ounces on each sandwich. I was starving otherwise I would have brought this back, my wife was the only one who took a picture which I will share. It's sad because I understand times are rough but when I feel scammed or disappointed to the point I needed to share this. I simply won't be coming back here and I hope this helps the business more than shy others from here, because the responsibility to your guest and keeping them happy is why you cook food. Upon recommendation, I made the trip to finally try a signature wrap from Pantano's and it didn't disappoint. I'm a big fan of "throw it all in there" sandwiches and what I had (The Gabby) was not only packed, but clearly designed with intention. Everything meshed perfectly! They even have a separate section of their menu specifically for "Instagram Favorites" and it honestly all sounded so good. Wow. I just received a call from Pantano's owner. I ordered 3 plates of pasta from them yesterday & 2 out of the 3 pasta's WAS SUPER SUPER BLAND. That's not our fault as customers, we have a saying to our food. I didn't come on here to complain about their food because my sister had already done so. I didn't feel the need to come on here to give it a bad rating UNTIL I received this very disturbing phone call! My sister's second time eating at this restaurant, first time she really enjoyed the pasta, this time, she said it was super disappointing. Because the pasta is bland, I can confirm that it had no flavor, and the pasta was overcooked. The owner of the restaurant personally called my number THE NEXT DAY!! to complain to me about the review that was left on their Yelp. He blatantly told me "If don't like it, just don't come back". However if you can see dating back, I've been a FAN of this place. WE love this place, I have over 10 check ins, not even counting the times I forget to check in!!! Now for me to CONTINUOUSLY have issues with the manager & owner of this place, I will NOT be coming back anymore. Pasta is extremely expensive but it was valid, that's why I was a loyal customer. I ordered three things and didn't like anything I got. The roast beef sandwich was sooo dry. It barely had any thousand island dressing. But I didn't understand why my roast beef sandwich was hot and had dry flat steak pieces like a Philly cheesesteak. If was at least moist and tasty steak meat I could've over looked this mistake. We ordered the Cajun burger, Philly burger and Spicy Melissa. Strangely enough, if you are ordering through the Pantano's website (not Yelp, DoorDash, etc), the Spicy Melissa is not available. I had to call to place the order manually. Another warning, that wrap is SOO heavy! Very tasty, but SOO heavy. The Cajun burger was also good. Tasty but a little dry. The Philly burger was just ok and again, a little dry. The mashed potatoes however was very bad. Tasteless even with the gravy. Mac salad was also pretty bland. The Cajun fries were ok. Stood there for a few minutes before someone even acknowledged me to take my order There is an up charge for using credit card, so better to pay with cash. After I ordered, the woman working there asked me to wait at the end while they made the food. 4-5 people came in and left with their food before i asked her where my food was. The same woman who took my order not even 20 minutes prior had no clue what I was doing there or if I had even ordered and turns out my food was just sitting there on the back counter. This is right in my neighborhood. Never had a chance to stop in until recently. My first time here was actually a few weeks ago. I was picking up just a breakfast sandwich for my boyfriend. He got egg whites, turkey and tomato on an everything bagel. He enjoyed it very much! It was also quite big. He said it was full of flavor and very delicious. The girl behind the counter was super friendly as well. She appeared that she actually enjoys her job and is happy to be there. Fast forward to today... I actually got to try something! I went with a Greek omelette without onions. It was very flavorful! The flavors were seriously dancing on my tongue throughout every bite. The omelette came with a little salad of lettuce and tomato and Italian dressing. Very fresh. My boyfriend got the same egg sandwich that I mentioned above. He enjoyed it once again. The workers are very friendly and they actually appear to enjoying working here. It's a warm and inviting environment. The prices have gone way up, i split a sandwich with my boyfriend and got a water and it was 17$..... we used to be able to both eat here for 20$.
