It has a cute low-key intimate Italian vibe for the decor, and our server & back waiter were super sweet and attentive! The food to start with is really just that delicious. The bruschetta was seriously delicious with that balsamic and mozzarella. Our entrees were even better! My husband said that this was the best scampi he's ever had. That the sauce was luscious, and super creamy and lemony and the shrimp was super fresh and crisp and just popped to use his words! My seafood pasta was excellent the sauce was super yummy and a bit spicy which I loved. They definitely don't skimp on the seafood I had a generous portions of clams, calamari and muscles, and our pasta tasted so fresh! The moscato was excellent as well. Chef Arturo and his wife Lilly are fantastic, they greet you like family as does Abby at the door. The place is beautifully done inside and the food matches. We tried to stop in yesterday evening on a whim because we were in the neighborhood and had heard good things about the food. We were refused service, and the hostess could not keep her story straight about why they could not serve us on this occasion. First she said that parties of six could not be seated because they were expecting a large party. We were a party of 4 plus an infant in a carrier. We pointed this out to her. She laughed, then said that they still couldn't serve us. Four is a normal party size that I expect to be able to be served at any establishment that is seating the general public. If they were not seating the general public, they should have had a sign on the door informing customers that they were closed for a private party, and apologizing for any inconvenience. Because our party size was a normal one, and because the hostess couldn't keep her story straight, this stinks of discrimination due to the inclusion of children in our party (as in, I have a feeling we would not have been turned away if it had been myself, my husband, and two other adults). I'm sorry to say it, but the restaurant has lost our business going forward because of the way this was mishandled. read more

Ate at this restaurant many times and the food is consistently outstanding. The bruchetta appetizer is delicious... the bread was perfectly crispy (not hard at all), light, and easily held up all the fresh ingredients with no issues. I love the Gnocchi ala Rustica; it is one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The Italian sausage is full of flavor, the gnocchi is soft and substantial without being heavy, and the pomodoro sauce is so dang good, it's pretty much like eating dessert with the meal. Art (Owner / Chef) is very friendly and makes time to visit with his customers. He explained that their sauces take 8 hours to make. In addition to the Gnocchi Rustica, we've had the Chicken Piccata, Pappardelle, Frutti de Mare, Lasagna, Chicken Parmigiana, and several Fish of the Day dishes. Everything has been delicious and cooked to perfection. We are so glad we tried this place and will definitely be back again and again. Art and his wife Lili are both owners & truly gifted chefs. We have been to this establishment a handful of times. I thought it may have been a one hit wonder because the last visits had never made it to the great experience we had our initial visit. We visited again this past Friday and it was wonderful again! Our meals were made with love and tasted as wonderful as our first visit. They also finally had tiramisu! I'm glad this last visit was what it was. I hold told myself if it wasn't, that would have been my last time there. It was a nice surprise to see they had removed a center wall and it had really opened the dining room making it more lively and inviting. There is a server there that has a funny way about her. They could not seat us and we had to leave because they did not have any high chairs for my daughter. We came here after our kids Christmas play. Location is in a shopping strip but once you step inside it feels like you're in Italy, eating at a family owned restaurant with a rich history. Live music, low lighting and white linen table cloths were nice without overpriced plates. Also kid friendly, our 3 & 4 year olds were with us, and we didn't feel like an inconvenience. We were SO excited to visit Papa Amadeus. We were sadly disappointed. The food lacked flavor, the Fritos misto had no flavor and was rubbery. The Cesar salad was subpar with wilted lettuce and store bought and mediocre. The rolls were not fresh, had been microwaved to the point we could not break them apart. The chicken Romano lacked any flavor and the pasta didn't seem house made. The Chardonnay sauce was more like an Alfredo sauce. The chicken appeared to be previously frozen instead of fresh. I took home the leftovers and threw them away. We met friends here we hadn't seen in years. Between them and the server, that was the most enjoyable part of the evening. We won't be back. read more

This place is amazing, beautiful presentation. True Italian gourmet!!! Me and my wife started off with an Italian House salad for which just starting off had great fresh taste and neatly set. For the main entrees, I had the red snapper ( absolutely delicious, perfect ) and my wife had the lasagna. We both gave each other a taste, her lasagna was so delicious best I've ever had. When you have homemade pasta plates and cooked to perfection, it will just melt in your mouth. Staff was super attentive and really polite. Not a single empty plate sat on the table for more than a minute. They are on point!!! For desert we had chocolate rum cake and tres leches. Awesome taste!!! To close out after we had got our check and I paid. A staff member went to the door and held the door as I exited. This restaurant is truly amazing!!! They make you feel like royalty. This restaurant is a hidden gem. I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. Tonight had the house salad, linguini with clams, and cannoli. All were great. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures until the cannoli arrived. There must have been two dozen clams with the linguini, beautifully arrayed, my bad. First thing, it may not look like much outside, but as soon as you step through the door there is a beautiful homey dinning room and a well dressed staff awaiting you. As for the food.... Other reviewers are correct, the restaurant is in a rather decrepit-looking strip center next to a Firestone tire and lube place. We walked in and were seated right away. Friendly wait staff took care of us immediately and brought us warm, tasty bread...was so good, we gorged on a few helpings! Ordered Melanzano di Pomodoro for appetizer and Gamberi Scampi, Melanzane Alforno, and Pasta Rockefeller for entrees. The dishes were unbelievably fresh and tasty! The mussels in the Rockefeller, shrimp in the Gamberi and the baked crab meat and parmigiana in eggplant (Melanzane Alforno) were fantastic. Portions were plentiful. Rounded off the meal with yummy Tiramisu and Tres Leches, fluffy, moist, heavenly! Had live music and the pianist/singer stopped by during a break and we had a nice chat! Good food, good service, good music...couldn't have asked for more! Prices were a bit on the high side, spent $133 for four, sans alcohol, but entirely worth it! Shall return for more! It's right up my alley because the food was really good and more upscale without being pretentious. You could drop in with a suit and tie or jeans and a shirt, although probably fit in better with jeans. Service was excellent. Live music that was not overbearing on table conversation. 3 of us had the Flounder special and I had the Branzino. Fish was fresh, tasty and prepared to perfection. Discovered a new favorite wine, Cabernet aged in bourbon barrels. My only negative is the location is unappealing in a downscale strip mall next to a tire place. I don't know where to start. Art, one of the owners, was well above and beyond with his service. It was reminiscent of a very high end restaurant. He was attentive, friendly, and paid great attention to detail such as changing out our silverware so our food flavors didn't mix. We ordered the Linguini Pescatore (seafood linguini) and I had the Melanzanne al forno (eggplant topped with crab meat with a side of capellini), and the meatball appetizer. The food was incredibly delicious. It was a good serving size and flavorful.
