Had an enjoyable lunch - Roberto showed us to the table and recommended the current special - Baja Fish Tacos. It was the best I've had in a while. The cod fish was fresh, lightly breaded and done just right - chunky with a nice level of flakiness. In the case of these fish tacos, I'd let the pictures do the talking. The avocado tacos were made fresh. Black beans and pickled vegetables went well with this star of a dish. The hummus - jalapeno and crabcakes were mediocre. Roberto and the waitress gave excellent service. Water for refill was provided in a milk bottle which was great. Afterall, we are in this hot heat of summer. Requested seating in a booth and got seated at a booth by the windows. Leg space felt better at the booths by the windows than those by the bar. Roberto recommended other dishes I may like to try next time - cauliflower crusted pizza, local kebab, burgers etc. Glad to have discovered this restaurant that was hidden in the woods. We intended to go to Charm Thai over the weekend and parked at Local Table by mistake. We returned today to correct the error. The outdoor patio looked pleasant. We did not sit there because it was hot. We sat indoors. It was just me and my child. Our waitress did not mention that kids (12 and under) eat free all day Mondays (and 10 am - 12 noon on weekends). I learned this from reading Google reviews after we had already ordered. After I asked, she confirmed the promotion and allowed us to add a kids meal since we had already ordered an adult entrée, which is the required condition. We ordered a kids' pizza. You can pepperoni for $1 but it's a free add on Mondays. Not gonna lie, pizza tasted off. Kid said it and I ignored her. Then I tried it and ack. We brought the rest home and stuck it in the fridge but it tasted even worse the next day. Tossed in trash. Service required frequent prompting. Like pulling teeth. I had to ask about the drink included with the kids meal. And yes Milk is an option. I also had to ask about the cookie that is supposed to come with the meal. We did not receive one. She said they had chocolate chip only as oatmeal and sugar cookies were gone. I said fine. We never got anything. So I went to the take out stand and we were told they were out of cookies. But they offered us a small brownie instead. Unfortunately however it contained nuts. For an appetizer, we ordered the cast iron spinach artichoke dip. The chip‑to‑dip ratio was not balanced. We ran out of chips way before the dip was gone. We also ordered the cast iron skirt steak (yes lots of cast irons). I requested medium rare. It arrived medium well and slightly tough however. You'd think they could easily tell this since they slice it all up before serving. It was not seasoned, but presumably that is because it is intended to be used with the chimichurri sauce provided. No salt on the tables. Overall, the experience and the food were marginal and borderline acceptable, but definitely unremarkable. Service is another story however. I can't believe this is the first time I have tried this restaurant. Great varieties of sandwiches and pitas, wraps, tacos, pizzas, and salads. They also have appetizers, burgers and entrées such as kebabs, meatloaf, pasta, and even a cast-iron chimichurri skirt steak. The special today was fish and chips. It was excellent. We also tried the steak salad with a jalapeño ranch which I highly recommend. Plenty of seating in the restaurant as well as the bar. Excellent service. I'm not sure how this was my first time visiting here, because this place is EXCELLENT! My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed our entrées (the vegetables they both came with were particularly delicious), and my son was thrilled with his chocolate chip waffles off of the kids menu! The ambience was perfect for a casual late lunch after attending a birthday party, where we were looking to relax and just talk a bit as a family. So as soon as I saw the smoked salmon avocado toast on the menu, *and* that it happened to be a top highlight, I was absolutely sold. And the result? THIS is how you do smoked on bread. Since I dined alone, I found the bar area fairly easily since all their Houston area restaurants are laid out similarly. One aspect that makes this one unique is the TWTX sign on the wall near the restroom. I've had a few of their cocktails which seem to be discounted for happy hour at some locations but not in the woodlands. Only their beers, wines, wells and frose are on sale then. I tried the chicken burger on my latest visit and a fresh strawberry lemonade. The chicken burger is a little different and better than your average chicken sandwich due to their cole slaw which they put on it that contains a bit of cilantro. I enjoyed this sandwich. Their strawberry lemonade is a good option for those skipping alcohol, like I did this particular day. They also give you free refills. Sometimes I'm hesitant to eat at restaurants with such extensive menus, but this place keeps their ingredients fresh and delicious. Do not make a reservation for a major holiday. Their reservation system is most likely based on a vibe coding system. The hostesses were overwhelmed with many people who had made reservations waiting well past their time. I feel sorry for them but not enough because my small children were crying they were so hungry and their small breakfast hadn't held them over. The menu has a wide variety of items from quick healthy lunch, to well portioned dinner and even brunch. We got the chicken quesadillas and blue crab cakes to start both of which were good size portions to share and super tasty. Then we ordered the Philly cheese steak on ciabatta, the local burger which was large and perfectly cooked, the gyros plate (would recommend), the nutritious bowl, which is perfect for a healthy lunch, and the ahi tuna poke bowl. I met the owner tonight. She's super nice and our kids are the same age. Her name is Diana. We enjoyed the food. We usually use DoorDash but enjoyed being able to go in-person. The kids had buttered noodles with grilled chicken and fruit. I had a pasta dish, too. We needed customizations which I hope didn't boggle the kitchen. My husband had chicken kabobs to go. It was our first time dining in. I was surprised the ladies bathroom only had two stalls and one toilet was broken. I was annoyed by that. It's a large restaurant. The ambiance was full of holiday spirit, which the kids and I loved. They have a holiday catering option which I might look into next year. However, our waitress made a few missteps. Family and I decided to try Local Table tonight for dinner. It was our first time, and will certainly won't be our last. When you first walk in, you'll be great by smiling welcoming faces. The restaurant itself is fairly spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. Our server was excellent. You can taste how the food is made fresh, using fresh ingredients. The menu has a variety of options. I started with the chicken tortilla soup. It was fresh, hearty and flavorful. For entrees we had the spicy buffalo chicken wrap, gyro plate and local kebab plate. The gyro was a bit greasy, but it was good. The kabob plate was absolutely delightful. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly, the vegetables were seasoned and fresh, and the portion size was just right. It also came with a slice of sour dough bread. I wish it came with the whole loaf, because it was that good. The chicken wrap was delicious. The fries were so good. We ended the night with the molten lava cake. Ya'll, you will not regret that choice. The cake was soft, moist and served warm with vanilla ice cream. It should be illegal to taste that good. Definitely looking forward to going back. read more

I tried this place out last week and it was delicious. So much so, that I had to come back today! Last week I had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries. It was sooooooo flavorful! 10/10. Great place, clean, nice atmosphere - but the breakfast items we ordered were a huge disappointment. It all looked great on the menu. For my wife and I - the waiter suggested the crab cake Benedict and Migas. The migas could have been good if not for being overloaded with taco strips. These were not migas... it says there are taco strips in the migas, didn't say it was almost taco strips with migas. The crab cakes the waiter said were 'home made'. The two Benedict's sat on perfectly identical rounds of crab cake that looked anything but. I don't care about that - the actual crab cakes were cakes of dough that had little evidence of any crab save for the less than fantastic fishy taste that was evident in each of them. Not good. I am sure the place does a lot of things right. My eggs tasted good.. other stuff our family got looked good. But if a server suggests the migas - be aware tortilla strips are overloaded and not just a supporting role. If server says the crab cakes are good - run :) read more

Happy *almost* TWO MONTH birthday to this fabulous place. Local Table is like if True Foods & Bella Green had a child. Their menu is definitely versatile & leaves you feeling satisfied and happy rather than sluggish and bloated. Don't get me started on their specialty drinks I wish I could try them all but that's sadly not possible haha. I think I'd make this a weekly spot to tackle every dish and drink! Oh! And their chocolate cake is just devilishly-HEAVENLY. Wow. It's rich and velvet-y with the perfect about of creaminess. Maybe a blackberry or two would add even more texture popping! And nice colors whenever they are in season The ambience and service were EXCEPTIONAL.
