Very solid Greek food. It's not cheap, but you do get a great value for your money spent. I really wanted moussaka, but this location does not offer that. I had the sampler platter and the portions of everything were quite generous. I also tried the baklava cheesecake which was just scrumptious. I ate it in the car. So every year or so I think I want a gyro. I usually regret it because it's so heavy and so generic. I've had a really good one in Cleveland but most of the others are mostly the same. This place is a small chain and they are preparing Sysco or us foods pre prepped stuff. It's fine. It's familiar. It's not great. The gyros are pita, pre shaved gyro meat, diced onions and out of season diced tomatoes. The sandwich is $8.50 which is not expensive relative to the amount you get. However, it's more than I want to eat and it's not a great leftover. I wasn't a fan of the fries. Under done and stale tasting. Burned out light bulbs in the dining room that tells me they don't have an eye on detail. read more

What is going on at Papa Gyros. Have been going there for years and this is the first time I have anything negative to say. Ordered 2 gyro platters and there was barely a scoop of tomatoes or onions. 1 small container of tsatsiki. Each platter is supposed to feed 2 people. The meat was plenty but that was it. I paid for an extra container of tsatsiki and feta. The manager came over and when I asked he said, "yep that's how we do it." He stood there for a minute and he said "if you want me to I could add a little more tomato or onions" Why did he even ask? He should have just offered to make it right from the beginning. Sad really.... Won't be back if that's the attitude toward the customer. read more

Stopped for dinner with a friend and got seated right away. This place is decorated nicely with a palette of oranges and greens, so in spite of the frigid temps it was like walking into a warm, sunny spot. We split a gyro platter designed for two. I added a small order of falafel. The pita bread, tomatoes and onions were super fresh and we could see the gyro meat being cut for our order. The falafel was a generous size and a delight to people who like a peppery mix with a squeeze of lemon. Their tzatziki sauce has a real zip to it. read more

The best Gyro's in north east Ohio. I have to say nothing comes close to Papa Gyro's. They are always hot, fresh and full of meat. Monday's special is $2 off a gyro. The platter is a plate full if you are eating inside. I have never had a bad meal or service. Everyone is so friendly and I always get thanked by the staff for joining them. The atmosphere is very relaxing and comfortable. Highly recommend. read more

Was in the area looking for something unique to the area when I found Papa Gyros. The staff was very nice and attentive. I ordered some calamari for an appetizer and a gyro supreme for my dinner. They calamari came out hot and delicious, with plenty of cocktail sauce. Soon after my gyro came out as well. It had a lot of meat and was really good. The best part was the gyro was on special for $6. I really have no complaints and really enjoyed the food. Definitely worth a stop if looking for good Greek food. read more

Fabulous food. Plenty of Greek food to choose from and oh did I mention they also have burgers? Which are amazing by the way. Stopped here today after a job in Alliance Ohio. Quinn ordered the gyro salad and said it was very good. The greens looked very fresh and there was plenty of them. The gyro salad had lots of meat and a wedged pita. Quinn is picky, so if he likes it, it must be good. I had the straight gyro. It is a rare treat for me. This was a very good gyro. Great Greek food! We've driven by it a thousand times and finally decided to get some carryout and it was so good. We ordered the large Greek Salad with Gyro meat and the Gyro Supreme and it was enough to feed an army. Very generous portions and everything tasted great. I give 3 stars because the people were nice. We paid $50 for a mediocre meal. The burger was dry with zero condiments, lettuce nothing just a burger and bun. The gentleman at the counter was super friendly we even tipped. However i ordered sauce on my chicken gyro and one without for my wife. They forgot my sauce no big so I go in to get it. Instead of just giving me sauce... he just kept bringing up how I didn't ask for sauce or the chicken pita doesn't come with sauce even went out of his way to show me the receipt. Now I promise I'm not being a brat or anything. My wife was standing there when I said no sauce for her but I want all the sauce. He said he thought my sandwich was the OG gyro i ordered for my mom. REGARDLESS IT DOESN'T MATTER. Even if I was wrong (which I wasn't many people heard me ask for sauce) just say "Oh I'm sorry about that" and hand your guest the sauce. It's the basics of customer service and it wasn't that big of a deal just give me the sauce. Don't argue with your guest or go out the way to prove them wrong. He was such a nice man and I was going to talk with him but he was helping a guest so Here we are... it just really bothered me. read more

It is a Greek grill so they have all sorts of Mediterranean dishes, which are no doubt very tongue pleasing. Plus a few desserts, e.g. baklava. I ate here while on vacation to see my in-laws and left disappointed. I got the surf & turf souvlaki. The tzatziki sauce and pita bread on the side was very good but the steak was well done when i asked for medium rare. This place has so much potential. I have eaten several times at their Belden location so I have this place three chances before I wrote a review. Their gyros are delicious. They have issues with their Greek nachos. They just can't get them right. Three weeks ago I got the nachos for the first time and they were really good but we're missing the feta and the onions were old. The second time they were soaked with tzatiki sauce and we're missing the banana peppers. This third time we asked for the tzatiki sauce on the side and had to go back because they forgot to put it in the bag. The nachos had very little meat and they forgot the feta. Their calamari was awful and the marinara tasted like they forgot to season the tomato sauce. So much potential but they need better employees I guess. read more

I was here a few weeks back and based on the banner outside they had just recently opened. I've been to the Belden location several years ago and was excited to see on pop up a little closer to me. You could tell things were new on the inside. Everything was nice and clean and had had the just opened smell. I was seated quickly by the hostess but there was a bit of a bottleneck at the entrance. There isn't much room as everything converges right at the cash register. You have people coming in, people paying/leaving and it looks like a bar area off to the side. I knew exactly what I wanted but still took a look at the menu. There are a lot of good choices from appetizers to full dinners/platters. It was lunch so I just wanted a Cajun Gyro. It was as good as I remembered and huge! There was a massive amount of flavorful shaved gyro meat on the pita smothered in tomatoes, onion and tzatziki sauce. I ate a good portion of the meat with a fork before I could even think about picking the gyro up. The meat was juicy and filled with Cajun spices threat the tzatziki and veggies cooled off. It all blended into a delicious lunch. I love gyros and this gets my seal of approval. I think everybody was still psyched up from the opening or in training stil because my waitress had someone following her around the entire time which is fine but she checked on me at least 5 times in the 20-25 minutes I was there. It seemed a it much but I never needed to ask for a refill. I noticed a few other waitresses also had counterparts following them and a few awkward moments. I'm sure these are all growing pains and they will get everything figured out. Bottom line is that the service was quick and friendly and my food was hot and delicious! I ate the philly cheese gyro several weeks back and it was really good. Thought i would try something different this week and ordered the greek sampler. It was terrible almost seemed as if I didnt get all my order. If I would have ordered that first time I would not have returned. I will try the pizza next time or another platter. The Greek Nacho is awesome! Completly addicting! I've got it about 7 or 8 times and at first they would forget one of the toppings but I spoke with them about making sure all the toppings make it on it. They make it perfect for me each and every time now, so when you call or go in just make sure you tell them you want every topping on it and you will become addicted from the first bite.
