    Awesome decor!

Loved eating here! Wasn't sure if we would be able to get in, because it was a Saturday night and we didn't have a reservation. Since it was later in the evening, 8:30 pm, we were able to get in with no problem. Staff was super nice and helpful. Very attentive. The food was delicious! The meat on the kebabs was tender, cooked to order and seasoned perfectly for Mediterranean food. Portions were substantial. Enjoyed how the food was served too. Comes on a platter with rice, potatoes, salad, and rolls. Save room for dessert! Come hungry and enjoy the tasty food adventure here!

Desert Inn is a classic in Canton. It was about the only place to get Mediterranean food. Now with all these gyro places you have more options. Kind of looks old but it's not bad. They have a fun desert oasis theme. It costs a little more compared to these fast food Greek places popping up around here. It's more of a lounge. They even advertise themselves as a lounge on the signage. Atmosphere therefore is decidedly better for dinner. They are open for lunch with a smaller but cheaper menu. It has some great cocktails. The best I've had is the blueberry martini. It's about $9 at the happy hour. The food is good too. Falafel is the best appetizer. It's $6 for a pretty large portion. This comes with pitas and sauce. It has some menu structures you should know. They serve everything in family style. This is putting large portions in a bowl or on a plate and putting it in the middle of the table for everyone to take portions themselves.

Love, love, love this place! I've been coming here for over 30 years. They serve family style meals with your choice of protein. Choose from lamb, beef, filet, shrimp, prime rib or others. Your meat is prepared to order. Then everything is served family style on a large platter with amazing salad, rice pilaf, roasted potatoes and garlic bread. Yum Yum Yum! I know you'll come back again. And be sure to save room for their signature dessert cocktail "Dirty Mother". Desert Inn is family owned with amazing food and incredible service. I highly recommend you make reservations in advance. Enjoy!

The stuffed mushrooms were excellent, it was the best dish we got. Fish was fried a bit hard but still tasted good. The Raspberry Mojito was decent, the mint added didn't add anything but didn't take anything away. The service was fine, nothing amazing but nothing bad. It was dead when we went just some people at the bar and some golf bros that came in as we were leaving. The bad: Please offer bottled water, that tap water tastes straight from the lake. If it is bottle water it's the cheapest water I've tasted. Good thing I ordered lemon with it. The fries, there was so much salt that they burned to eat. Whoever was so heavy handed with the salt needs to scale it back a bit or offer the fries by default without salt. They had a good taste but it was lost to extreme sodium. The inside was clean, like I said it was dead so it was organized. The bathroom floor was sticky but it's not the worst bathroom I've been in. We might come back, we really enjoyed the mushrooms but I got my entire sodium allowance with just a couple of the fries. We barely ate the fries, yet we're not comped them as we stated they were bad. They removed the soda I had to ask for to get the salt out of my mouth because that water tasted so bad. Both plates of fries went back after the complaint and we still had to pay for them.

Where to start...Okay so first of all, delicious, creative, well seasoned food is really hard…read moreto come by, especially in this area, but good fortune knocks it out of the park every-time. This was our second time at good fortune and we were just a pleased as we were the first time. There are two types of restaurants, some that feel they have to go over the top on decor and atmosphere to make up for the fact that their food is mediocre and others that let there food speak for itself. Good fortune is the latter. It definitely has a fun retro vibe, but the cocktails and food are what you come for. First, let's discuss their old fashioned. It is the perfect blend of smooth and sweet. Also- their ice cubes are top notch. If you're thinking this doesn't make a difference in a drink, think again. They are clear as glass and do not melt quickly, so you can enjoy your drink without it getting watered down as you sip. This was the second time we ordered the party eggs and they were incredible. When they brought them out I felt myself become a little disappointed when I saw they were not a traditional deviled egg like they had been in the past. But as soon as I took a bite I quickly recanted that notion and was pleasantly surprised. The eggs were pickled perfection with a nice touch of spice and crunch on top. The asparagus was everything. Tender with lightly crisped florets, topped with a beautifully seasoned harissa and herb dressing. This creative approach to a traditional vegetable dish made it a stand out. The loaded potatoes, y'all! A great blend of hearty, starchy and creamy. The creme fraiche added class and sophistication to this crowd pleasing dish. Bread Pudding- Roman (head chef of good fortune) told us to think of it as the offspring of bread pudding and monkey bread. He wasn't wrong. It was the custardy goodness that you want from bread pudding topped with the salty, carmely goodness of monkey bread, served a la mode. It got better with every single bite as the icecream begin to melt into the dish. All this to say, GO HERE!!!! The staff is incredibly kind and personable. And the food is exactly what this area needs. It feels nostalgic but inventive at the same time. I can't wait to go back to try their next seasonal menu. Way to go good fortune. This is our new favorite place.
