It was a pretty good deal: $20.00 for a large stuffed crust pizza and a 2-liter of soda, plus a $2.00 carryout tip. The pizza was hot and fresh. I love how it comes with the garlic "butter" sauce to dip your pizza or crust in. I have had the spicy garlic sauce before as well as the cheese sauce. They are all very good. The pizza itself came with plenty of toppings and cheese. It was light and pillowy, which made me fill up fast. I appreciate having leftovers so this was great. Well, let me start by saying it's been YEARS since we've ordered Papa John's. Not sure why we drifted away, but I can certainly let y'all know why we may avoid it in the future. We ordered a pepperoni epic stuffed crust pizza and an order of cheese garlic bread with a total of 4 garlic dipping sauces. Let me start by stating the positives: everything was included in our order, very pleased with the pricing, delivery was prompt, delivery driver was very friendly, and the food tasted great. No complaints on the pizza, it was great. The only con: we pulled (literally) strands of plastic out of our cheese garlic bread. I'll include the pictures, I have a video but Yelp won't allow me to attach it to the review. My husband said it reminded him of fishing line. Not sure what it could be, but there were two strands from the piece he took, and one strand in the piece I took. Needless to say, I'm not disappointed in the flavor or presentation of the food, nor am I disappointed in the convenience of placing my order or promptness in delivery. The fact there is literal plastic in multiple pieces of garlic bread is a bit alarming though. It'll definitely make me think beforehand when considering ordering from this particular Papa John's in the future. I know, accidents happen, but quality control should always be a paramount characteristic in food service. Garlic dipping sauce not provided on past several orders. Phone number is automated and all options are disconnected so local staff is either hanging up or their telephony system is broken...either way I was unable to speak with anyone after multiple attempts. Delivery costs are higher (almost $7 now) because they have outsourced their delivery services to third parties who do not carry extra sauce. Essentially we're paying the cost of an extra meal for the convenience of a delivery service however if anything is wrong with the order you would need to drive to the location to address your concern. Worst experience ever. Ordered a pepperoni pizza. When the app said it was ready I came in. They said it was not ready yet. I waiting 20 minutes and they finally said they forgot to make it. Awful experience! I worked late and didn't have enough time to make dinner. I ordered a pizza and two orders of wings through the app. When the driver delivered the order he accidentally dropped the bag with the wings all over the sidewalk. Mistakes happen so I wasn't upset with the driver. I did pay $40 for the order so I tried calling the Papa John's number for 64th numerous times and they never answered. My dad, who was a guest for dinner, actually went to the Papa Johns to reorder the wings and they would not refund or make more wings because they deliver through Doordash now and they do not claim responsibility. So I was out $20 of the $40 and there was not enough food for the 4 of us. Just let there earlier this evening. And it was not a good experience AT ALL. After placing my order it said my order would be ready in 18 minutes. This was at 7:23pm. After arriving my husband goes in and comes back out after 7:50 empty handed. He comes to the car to ask what exactly he was picking up because there was a line of people and the manager was asking the people what their orders were. I go back inside with my husband and as were waiting we overhear the conversation with the guy at the front of the line stating he's been waiting over an hour and would just like a refund. We've now been waiting there about 30 minutes after it should have been ready and it's just being started on. There was one other guy working and he was not wearing gloves either. We ordered two large stuffed crust pizzas they weren't stuffed crust. Pizza wasn't cooked all the way. When we got home we tried to pick up a piece of pizza all the toppings fell off because the toppings were melt and crust still doughy. We ordered extra pepperchini peppers and once again the manager himself hands us a tin foil roll of the sliced peppers that go on your pizza. The employees made no eye contact simply said thank you for being patient. At one point the manager specifically stated, "Just find out the orders for who is actually in here and work on those the rest can wait". Standard Papa Johns that delivers. I usually go for pickup and its ready when the tracker says its done. The pizza here has always been good though. I have never had a bad pizza from here. The cheese is good, and so are the toppings. I have gotten some pretty ugly Banana peppers which make me sad because I love eating the Banana pepper! When you ask for parmesan they give you a good amount which I like they are not stingy. The workers have always been kind when I pick it up and even show me my pizza. I think this might be the trick to getting a good pizza from here is picking it up. If you pick it up they show it off to you like "Hey you see this? You know you love it" I do. The gluten free pizza I ordered was so awful that I feel obligated to inform others so you don't make the same mistake I did. I'm adding photos so you can make your own judgment. I don't expect gluten free crust to be as fluffy as the regular crust, but the crust on my pizza was so burnt and thin, it was difficult to bite into. The delivery was prompt on a Sunday afternoon and delivery person pleasant. I can't attest to the quality of the toppings, as the burnt crust took over the flavor. Been too this location for a few years and it's seems too definitely be going down hill.. awhile back we went in with our 7yo and ordered pizza and sat down near the front of the store in back of the partition wall..we got an "ear full" of the personal life of some of the cook staff as I heard conversation that was definitely not appropriate for a 7yo.. I asked too talk too the manager about what happened and was told too call the number of the person on the front door. Called number and it's disconnected.. The customer service and maturity of the staff here is definitely sub par... I want to start this off by saying that I ordered our pizza from Papa John around 3 in the afternoon on a Wednesday. They said that it should take 35-45 minutes to be delivered which it understandable since they are approximately 4 miles away. It actually took over an hour and was cold when it arrived. I'm not talking slightly warm I mean literally cold and not just one but both of our pizzas. I quickly called back and I guess it was the manager but he did apologize for the mishap and said they will make both pizzas at no charge (to his credit) it took another 50 minutes to arrive and was also cold, not as cold but in a standard of pizzas it was bad. I don't have a habit of eating pizza but when I do I would think when it's delivered that it would be hot enough that you could see some steam or some melted cheese. This particular location has gone down hill fast! We order here 2 to 4 times a month and tonight was the worst. We ordered at 6:18 and the promise time of 7:17. The receipt shows that the pizza left the location at 7:29 but somehow we didn't receive it until 8:13 when we are 15 minutes from the location. So they are constantly late so we look past that.....we open up the wings that were supposed to be buffalo but yet they were naked. Again, this is the 3rd time this has happened so aw well. Then we open the 1st pizza and it is burnt and freezing cold and looked as if it was sitting out for 3 hours. Everything was ice cold and looked horrible so I decided to go to the location to see if they can remake the pizza. Oh forgot to mention that I called 10 times and let it ring for some time and they didn't answer! So I get to the location and told the manager (I assume) that everything is horrible and not how we ordered it. I was being very nice at this point expecting him to rectify the situation and make the order correctly. Nope....he just looks at me and says "so you want your money back?" I never asked for my money back or said anything mean....I have 4 kids at home starving and now at 9 at night I have to go find another restaurant rather than getting my order corrected AND with not even an apology. I ordered pizza at 7:45 p.m. My delivery estimate was from 8:11 p.m. to 8:21 p.m. originally and then it was changed from 8:13 p.m. to 8:21 p.m. I called to check on it and the GM Jack Szymanowski kept talking over me, raising his voice at me and told me how irritated he was and that he only made minimum wage. He said the delivery person had 4 deliveries in my neighborhood and I told him I didn't believe that because each house would take no longer than 3-5 minutes. I told Jack that I just want our pizzas and he said well he left over 15 minutes ago (and the time then was 8:31 p.m., so that means the driver left at 8:15 p.m. or so) and I don't know where he is, I don't have a GPS on him. He threatened to just void my order which I think he actually did as it is now 8:42 p.m. The tracking has said my pizza has been on it's way for over 40 minutes and I live 3 minutes from the establishment. I am not happy at all, I avoided Papa John's for the past 6 months (and only came back about a month ago) because the customer service has become deplorable. I now have to go out and find something to feed my family at 8:45 p.m. after working a 12 hour day! I again, will avoid Papa John's at all costs and will be putting this on Yelp and everywhere else! Update: Pizza kid and I mean kid had to be under 18 got here at 8:58 p.m., he apologized and I asked him what took so long since all deliveries were according to GM Jack in my neighborhood. They said the only thing they could do was make me another one and send it out. Which would take another 45 minutes or so.
