Nothing goes better with football than pizza. Pappa johns has the best pizza and I love it. I usually get the Meat Lovers with chicken added on thin crust and i haven't had a bad experience yet. I've only had papa johns in Beaumont Texas once and i hope I'm not disappointed. The pizza is delicious just as I expected. I recently ordered online. I had receipt of two items on the order with one clearly deleted. I submitted the coupon on the order which shows a 2 topping pizza was selected with a charge next to it. The 2nd (deleted) item was blank next to it. no charge. The store misread the order and made the deleted pizza. No pizza should have been made until the order was clarified. Phone call maybe or just wait till customer shows up.I called the helpline to no avail. They refused to acknowledge their mistake and placed the blame on the customer. Customer service drives retail. Order was right, wait time was spot on, brought all extra packs of peppers n cheese as i requested. Poor customer service. I waited down stairs in the kitchen for an HR, waiting on pizza that never came. Natalie the manager said since we didn't answer the phone she returned it and it would be 3 or 4 days before we got a refund. Normally, I really enjoy the pizza and delivery service here. I've been a faithful customer and even have them on speed dial LOL. I enjoy the "Rewards" they have for orders as well. The quality is good and delivery fairly quick. However, today, I was disappointed. I had ordered extra toppings, but they seemed hardly existent! No extra cheese as I had requested (and paid for) and barely any of the other toppings. I called and the manager explained that since they have to cook it at a set temperature, they have to make sure that it all cooks evenly-- or something of that nature. She seemed dismissive and annoyed, and not concerned with handling the problem. She just wanted to shuffle me off to someone else to talk to, but whatever. I'll be looking around for another pizza place to order from. It's not so much the lack of toppings that prompted me to give such a low rating (we all mess up from time to time), but it was the manager's dismissive attitude and unwillingness to solve the problem that irked me the most. read more
