Recently tried the stuffed crust pizza's and these were a HUGE disappointment. These are nothing like what you see in the pictures, the cheese in the crust is hard to find and whatever sliver of cheese is in there it does no stretchy pulls or anything. We have eaten stuffed crust pizza's at several other vendors and there are some good ones out there. However, this was a big disappointment. The marketing campaign and pictures on their website are HUGELY misleading. Also, 3-4 topping stuffed crust can cost about $25 and that makes this even worse. We essentially paid over $50 for 2 regular pizzas. Papajohn if you are listening, you need to fix this. read more

Restroom facility for customers only, yet they tell you bathroom doesn't work. See an employee go in 5 minutes later. Put a sign up stating restroom doesn't work or for employees only if that's the case. Pretty much sums up the quality of the pizza over here anyways. Complete trash . Ordered delivery. Called an hour later asking for an update. Manager gave me drivers phone number. Called driver and asked where's my pizza? Said he dropped it off and said I was trying to get a free pizza and to never call him back. Manager made him go back. This place has been our favorite since we moved to Edison. I pick up or order delivery every Friday and I haven't been disappointed as of yet! The cashiers are always on her toes to get things done, also with a smile on her face. Even on their busiest days like Super Bowl my pizza was fresh and exactly how we like it. I think you have to know what you want to order to get the best service on hand! My favorite place in our area for pizza for sure! I would recommend them to my friends and already have! I have fond memories of Papa John's from a summer at Penn State studying for the SATs, and thought I could recreate that with a pie. Unfortunately, what I was served was absolute garbage. I knew going in I wasn't getting a gourmet meal, but this was beyond what I consider the lowest rung of consumption... and I still eat the occasional white castle burger. Staff was all Indian and all business, and the pie was prepared as ordered and ready when I got there, but tasted so bad I can't bring myself to go to 2 stars for the service. We ordered Pineapple , onion and green pepper pizza at this location, instead of pineapple, we got pizza full of jalapeño peppers. There were lots of jalapeños on whole pizza. We called and told them about their mistak, we asked for another pizza through delivery because it was not our mistake but we were told by the staff that we would have to order it again , we would have to pay them again to get another pizza with pineapple topping. My husband drove 15 mins one way to get pizza so its not fair to pay them again and to go there again to pick up pizza because they made a mistake. I would get my next free pizza from here. The pizza came with a free garlic sauce and pepperoncini. The employees were quick and courteous. Some people, who don't know good pizza, may choose to consume this institutional food. Tried it once, and after it cooled a bit it tasted like the cardboard box we brought it home in. Great Customer Service!! I was having trouble ordering the Rangers special online,I walked in the store and was greeted with a big smile by the lady on the counter! When I explained her the issue, she helped me placed the order online and showed me how to do it step by step. And the pizza was ready in less than 10 mins and was DELICIOUS!!! As I glanced behind the counter, I noticed the lady preparing the pizzas unpacked a dusty filthy box and went straight to the topping counter and go about grab toppings with the same filthy unwashed hands. We love Papa Johns pizzas and have while at my job just down the street. We always paid cash when they were delivered and there was no problem. On the evening of 7/20/21we decided to have one delivered to our house. We told them what pizza we wanted, then the bread sticks, etc. After all that, the woman who was very polite and friendly told us that they did not accept cash for deliveries. I was floored that Papa Johns would not accept the oldest American was of trading for goods and services. Good old American money. The last I knew, for a business, a dollar was a dollar. Unfortunately we had to take our business to Cottage Inn who gladly accepted our money. Sorry Papa Johns. Not everyone in American uses a card to pay for everything in their lives. That being said, if you pay for everything in your life with a card, Papa Johns pizza are very very good. They just lose the business of those who don't. read more

The people responsible for taking the complaints in are totally irresponsible and careless. I created this yelp today because of this issue....I'd rate this Papa Johns in Edison, NJ a ZERO but a ONE star is the lowest I could go. The cashier/worker/manager (not sure of his title) refused to serve us and shut off all the lights on my husband and me early because he said we were trying to rob him. The OPEN SIGN was ON and the place didn't close until midnight. We got there between 11:30-11:40 pm approximately and there was no sign on the door indicating their hours of service. We park, go to the door to order, and the worker runs to the door, shuts off all the lights, and waves us off without saying a word. I ask him through the window what time he closes so we know for next time and he ignored me. I also want it to be know that I CALLED THE STORE (because they may still deliver even if the store front is closed AND BECAUSE at this point I'm assuming there was some type of language barrier) and he said he wasn't letting us in and closing early because he's not trying to be robbed tonight. I'm so upset right now it's not even funny. He REFUSED to tell us when the store actually closed. To make matters worse it's my birthday and my first day back living in NJ and to be accused of trying to rob the store for simply trying to place an order at a business that was clearly open. He had NO Reason to think we were trying to rob him other than his own personal prejudice....I will NEVER give them any business every again. Store management or corporate needs to get involved. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. P.S. - I've also read other reviews on other sites and apparently customer service is an issue at this particular Papa Johns in Edison. But for a store to be closed early (he didn't even say "sorry we're closed" he just shut the lights off while we were standing in front of the door and angrily waved us away before running to the back) because he didn't want us to "rob" him is beyond unacceptable. I even called the store so he wouldn't have to open the door to place my order and he still kept stating we're trying to rob him. The Manager is very rude and dont know how to treat customer. I order my pizza online and when i went to pick up I ask for couple of crush peppers and he told me to order online he will lose 2 peppers to give me for free. I mean that's ridiculous. Pizza was pretty good and sauces were good. I like a different type of pizza crust tho, I guess. Overall price was good for what we got.
