The marinara sauce tasted more like ketchup, the thin crust was below average and there was barely any cheese on the pizza, forcing you to taste the ketchup like marinara sauce. If -1000 was a rating that's what this location would get . The staff is rude and unprofessional. I placed an order and half of it was not delivered two hours later . The next week gave them another try and my order never was delivered . I was charged. The store will not answer phone. I was told they didn't have drivers , I needed to tip at least +$5 otherwise it won't be delivered , door dash drivers that they use supposedly keeps food. And I could not get a refund. I even drove to store after waiting 3 hrs. I have never ever experienced this type of service. Oan the cook came out to give me a piece of his mind too. Don't take orders you cannot fulfill or turn off delivery . But the fact I can't get a refund for an order I never received is robbery . I will never ever patronize this business again !!!! Great franchise. Consistently good quality and lots of specials. We have some good pizzas available in our area yet regularly opt for Papa John's more often than not. Do like their national ads, especially during football season. They keep their brand out there and once you experience their pies you come back. Advertising does work. Glad that they are just a golf cart ride away. read more

I enjoy Papa Johns over All the other delivery pizza location. However on today's take out visit I found the only person in the store wearing a COVID mask was the person at the front register. The person making the piZza and the person packaging the pizza we're wearing the mask like. Chin strap. The female manager was in the back of the store near food prep with MASK. When I asked to speak to the manager she complained that if was hot where she and employees were working!!!!????? Dude seriously With COVID WTF. This store needs to be shut down. This place is in dire need of some adult professional management. I went in the other night, a busy time I'm sure, but I had been in the phone ( on hold) for 1 hour and 25 mins.. that's 1:25.. no one picked up, just the music and " a team member will be right with you"... so after all that hold time, I drive by to see why no one was answering phone. No customers were in the store. It was all kids trying to run the show; overwhelmed and stated " we're just so busy with online orders we're not answering the phone." Shocked. Stunned. No management around. Just 2 or 3 giggly kids. No apology for not answering their phones. Pitiful. Had to give 1 star to be able to do the review. read more

I've grown very tired of this location. My kids enjoy dipping their pizza in pizza sauce, weird but they like it. So every time I pay $1 extra to get 2 sides of sauce. And 90% of the time I don't get it. They've brought it back out to me before, which is nice, but my kids are already eating so it's pointless to wait for it again. This time it happened again and I noticed it before the driver got too far. I told her and her response was "well it's not on the receipt". I don't know where she gets her receipts but it is on my phone receipt. So I called, fuming, and requested a full refund. They said they'd void it. But I haven't seen a void yet. I want to void my prepaid tip too for the rude driver. You want pizza? Go somewhere else. Even store bought would make you happier. read more

Worst experience ever placed an order for a pizza. Got a text saying my pizza was ready showed up to the store 30 minutes later, and somehow my pizza was lost. I was not the only one to lose a pizza three other customers lost their pizzas too. There was only one employee helping people all the other employees were minding their own business not helping out anybody when there's 10 customers in the store waiting. what kind of customer service is Papa John's trying to set!!! This location is exceptional! We placed an order for take out and picked our pizzas up at the designated time. We didn't have to wait at all and our order was correct. The man at the counter even threw in some Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes for free which they usually cost. The pizzas were great and we were very satisfied with the location. Someone from the store called and told me I could come pick the pizza up but because the driver was over an hour away they couldn't deliver it... not sure how the driver was such a far distance away but they claimed they couldn't deliver it, and they cancelled my order. After receiving the wrong delivery order, I was rudly asked "if I want a job there" and was asked to send a picture of the incorrect pizza to the "manager's" cellphone. Who then proceeded to tell me that it was correct when it very obviously was not. The manager and his rude female co-worker CONTINUED to laugh at and insult me over the phone and hung up on me 3 times. They would not refund my order and told me I was acting CHILDISH! We used to get 5 star service at this location. Their pizzas used to be loaded with ingredients. The pizza is still good but it looks like the employees get sloppy when putting toppings on the pizza and some pieces hardly have anything on them other than cheese while some of the other pieces just have toppings towards the center. That's why we get the XL so hopefully we can get more ingredients.Their pizza quality has really went downhill but we still go there because it is the closest one. Thank you read more

I must say that initially there was no need to write a review about the Papa John's on Carolina Commons Drive in Indian Land South Carolina. However, when I called to just inquire about their process for orders with errors the Male Employee (name unknown) who told me he was the manager, unprovoked hung-up the phone on me. Here's the scenario: I placed an online order of Cheese Sticks with Buffalo Sauce. However, they instead sent Regular Tomato Sauce. I called back and asked how they usually handle something like this if I did not want the driver to make an extra trip. I just did not believe it would be worth the trip; too costly. The Male Employee immediately exhibited a tone of abruptness and told me, "Well we'll take it off!" I said, "No I don't want you to reimburse me." Then out of nowhere he hung-up on me. I called back and asked, "Excuse me, but why did you hang-up on me?" He rudely yelled, "Because you can't be pleased!" Then abruptly hung-up again. I was not given the opportunity to reply. Had he listened I would have only asked that he simply make sure of the small items in an order. Before today I ordered pizza from them on about a bi-weekly basis and simply wanted them to be more aware. I believe it was easier for him to mistreat me due to my race. He knows I do not look like him Therefore he did not care how he mistreated me. Even if he thought I was hard to please there was no reason for his unprofessional behavior. If he is a manager then he should be reprimanded or fired because he probably does this all of the time and no one writes about his behavioral issues. As a loyal customer (but no more) I did not deserve to have an employee hang-up on me. I am done with Papa Johns. First the NAACP exposed their racially inappropriate behaviors and now this. Even though this location is less than 5 miles from my house, I don't plan to spend my hard earned money at this location anytime soon. We went in to place and order tonight and the young lady at the front quoted us a price of $18.27. Since we've ordered this same pizza on various occasions, we knew that it was the $11 special. When we mentioned the price, this same young lady (Angelica) told us that it is Papa John's policy to not offer specials if a customer doesn't ask initially. Is this true? And if so, I think that is poor customer service to the point that you are willing to overcharge a customer instead of mentioning some of your specials. If a person doesn't order weekly, how would you know all of the specials as I'm pretty sure they change from time to time. About two weeks ago, I walked into the store for a pickup. This same young lady made eye contact with me. There was just one other lady in line before me. About 3 minutes went by (time for her to take the lady's order and money. A man walked in behind me and was reviewing the menu. She totally ignored me in line and begin to ask the man behind me if she could help him. Thankfully he was human and told her that I was in line before him and she didn't apologize or anything. People need to realize that customer can be selective in where to spend their money and what this store's employee has shown me is that she is not representing the company well and making it very easy for me to take my business and money elsewhere. read more

It looked like the dough did not rise and that it had been sitting for hours I called and complained to the manager. With a lousy attitude, he said "what is wrong with the pizza?" I've never left a negative review. I understand that things happen. This is by far the worst Papa Johns location I have ever had. Multiple times, including today ordered online and was given a delivery window of 25-30 minutes. After an hour we called the store just to check on where the order was and was told it was late because we ordered online. If we had called the store they would have told us 30-45 minutes. The "manager" Ken told us the delivery was on its way. Well we live less that five minutes from the store. Fifteen minutes later the pizza and other items showed up stone cold and hard. Called back to talk to them and the manager immediately got belligerent and would not let me talk. Offered to give the next pizza free, which was fine, but told me before I got a word out that he had already talked to us and his terrible attitude and disrespect of not even letting me speak was the biggest issue. I asked him who his boss was and he refused to tell me. I asked him who the franchise owner was and he refused to tell me and told me that if I came to the store and asked that information that was threatening and attacking him. He then hung up on me. I called back and he told me he was going to call the police because I was harassing him. All because I asked who the store manager and franchise owner was. Terrible service and a horrible attitude. He knew the order was cold before he sent it and told us that happens when you use the app to order, which is what they advertise and offer special deals on. Just be aware if you go to this location that quality and management are a huge issue. Last time they also took well over an hour and brought a charred pizza that was inedible. They offer to replace it but with the attitude they have you can't be sure that they would not do something to the replacement pizza, I would hope not but I would also hope to not have such an attitude given when you call to talk to them.
