I feel bad for going in right after a Waxhaw festival. They were busy when we first got there. We ordered our food and waited patiently. The entire restaurant literally ate and left before we got our food. Everyone was gone and it still took and additional 30-40 mins with it empty. Seems like a good takeout pick up place. The food was okay. My noodles were pretty dry. The people that worked there were nice when they did talk to us. They have cans and bottles for drinks and okay food. Ordered takeout. Two pizzas, one deluxe the other one topping and wings. Both pizzas should have been cooked longer. Wings were ordered hot they were maybe medium at best and didn't have any sauce on them. Value for the price was not great. DELICIOUS Seriously incredible pizza, sauce is delicious and dough is obviously fresh. Moved to Waxhaw from Asheville a couple years ago and was worried I would be stepping down in options for quality food. This place gave me hope. Got this the day we moved in.....I remember all of my family and friends sitting around a kitchen of unpacked boxes.....as we ate, someone said "is it just me.....or is this pizza AMAZING?!". I thought maybe we were biased being hungry from moving, but 2 years later we are still frequent customers. Owner operates business and provides great customer service. We ordered a Big Daddy Meatball pizza, a garden Large Salad, wings (hot), and two ice creams (mint chip and chocolate coconut almond. The pizza was good. We would order again. The meatball was well seasoned and the pizza dough and sauce were great. The salad was really sad. It was the smallest salad I have seen for $6.50. There were only about 1.5- 2 cups of lettuce in the container. (Some of which was iceberg.) Plus a very few sad-looking veggies and , cheddar cheese. The dressings are Kens dressing containers. (Disappointing when they make their own pizza and ice cream but can't make dressing) The wings were adequate, but not great for the steep price restaurants usually charge for wings. The ice cream was a huge disappointment. It is icy and seems completely devoid of any fat from milk or cream. The toppings are scattered over the ice cream in a few layers. The mint was especially not good. The mint in the mint chip tasted like extract and not oil. (And not a particularly good quality) Also, some of the mint flavor was in my chocolate almond ice cream which was not appealing at all. (I'm assuming from getting the ice creams ready for delivery.) if this is a "family recipe" I wonder where they got it. My grandma used to make better in the garage using just milk, cream and sugar. Bottom line: I gave three stars for the pizza. We will try that again. We won't be ordering anything else with it though. If not for the yummy pizza I would have given 1 star. read more

The pizza tasted excellent as always. Problem is, it was delivered cold again and it was late, again. The Ceasar salad was wrong, they added Chicken, Olives, green peppers, cucumbers, yellow cheese, not a Ceasar though they sent the right dressing so not sure what they are thinking. Last order was late also and the mgr sent a $10. credit (which I havent used). Not sure whats going on , but they need to forget the excuses about weather and drivers breaking down and step it up, and I hope they do, cause the pizza is always excellent and we've been ordering for years. read more

We decided to order pizza from the Fox's Den last night. We ordered a plain cheese Big Daddy size since at $16.99 it was only $3 more than the 16" extra large. We also ordered a garden salad & a ceaser salad. I think the total came to around $24. I have to say the pizza wasn't as good as I remembered (it's been a few years since I had their pizza.) The tomato sauce was pretty bland & there wasn't a lot of cheese. I think it really needs some flavorful toppings. Also, we got the hand tossed and the crust was a little doughy. I didn't care for the large rectangle that is the Big Daddy size. It reminded me of Little Ceasers or something frozen. Next time we will stick with the 16" to see if that is a better choice. ( And we'll get toppings to give it more flavor.) One positive I can say about this pizza - it was not at all greasy like some of the other nearby options. So, for that reason we would eat their pizza again, but it would not be our first choice. read more

Save your time and money...the pizza and service used to be good and I keep trying to give chance after chance. They NEVER give the amount of toppings you pay for and the service is slow. I have complained, been promised it will get better, and then....nothing. Very pleased with this local pizza joint. They deliver and offer I believe 28" pie I could fit in the box. Dough is night and soft and the marinara the right amount of sweet. Would have ordered the homemade ice cream too but saw someone handling the pints with bare hands so decided to skip it for now. The owner has a sign with his phone number to contact at any time and relies on feedback. Now I just need chicken parm and garlic knots and I'll be hooked for life. Awesome place read more

We ordered Fox's Pizza Den tonight and were blown away by the customer service and quality of the pizza. We ordered the Deluxe and BBQ chicken pizzas and had to stop ourselves from finishing them off to save room for ice cream. I tasted a little spoonful of the banana pudding ice cream and it was fabulous. We are kicking ourselves for waiting so long to try this place!! We've had Fox's several times and it is, usually, the best pizza I've ever had. However, our recent experience on Friday, April 21st, was disappointing. We ordered two pizzas, 1) pepperoni and mushroom; 2) plain cheese. The pepperoni was underdone leaving the crust a little doughy, despite the request for well baked. Also, we found chocolate in our pepperoni pizza. I'm not sure how/why chocolate would be near or around a pepperoni pizza but a little disgusting. Fox's has the best sauce and best pepperoni I've ever tasted and I know they can do better than our experience Friday. I would still highly recommend Fox's to anyone, knowing this experience was not the norm, but still disappointed. read more

We love this family owned pizza place! The staff is very polite and friendly and the food is fresh. They even make their own ice cream! Pizza AND ice cream? Heaven. It's a casual, everyday-looking family owned place with not the greatest of parking but, still so well worth it once you have a taste! I recently tried their garlic/parm wings, which were unusually great, so if you like variety, give these folks a try! Can't go wrong with anything. Next time I'm trying the Stromboli. The crust was very soft and "doughy" and looked like it had been baked for just a minute or two. I wasn't gooey, but wasn't much better than that. I ate at this pizza place almost two years ago after a Fourth of July parade in Waxhaw. I had cheese pizza and mint chocolate chip ice cream and fell in love. Unfortunately I don't like close by, but on the way back from a road trip today we stopped in on our way through town. I had the same meal, cheese pizza and mint chocolate chip ice cream. Same as I remember it! So so yummy, and still my favorite. Maybe one day I'll live a little closer and can make this a regular treat. Would recommend to anyone driving through. Eight here for the first time after moving here from Wisconsin. Everyone was very friendly and the food was very good the kids enjoyed it tremendously. The reason I'm giving them four stars is because I had to repeatedly ask for new things and after I bought ice cream for the girls and I and paid for it I was informed that there were no more cones so I ended up taking a container of ice cream home which was fine. The ice cream is OK I tried the Keylime I honestly would not get that one again but the girls loved their Oreo chocolate ice cream. One of the other things they did was they forgot to give me my tea and then when I asked for my tea I was made to look like I didn't buy it. But overall it was a pretty good place! read more

Holy crap this was the worst "steak and cheese" I have ever had. It was more dry than a desert and even the cheese was just a barely noticeable brick of bland. It in no way could compensate for the awful meat on there and the mushrooms and peppers were nearly non-existent. I put ranch on it just so I could swallow a bite and I hate using ranch as anything but something to dip carrots into. Also ordered was the meatball sub and that too was horribly dry and bland.
