The Chef at Desi Tasty prepares his own food using his own recipes, and the results are absolutely amazing. The Chef is an artist. Many Master Chefs may have the skills, but will never have the  talent to create a dish as good as what we had today. The taste,  texture, and seasoning are amazing. His methods of bringing out subtle, background flavors  are outstanding. I suggest you visit Desi Tasty very soon if you enjoy  Indian food, Haute Cuisine, or simply great food. I do not think the Chef will be there for long; he is too good.

The strip mall the restaurant is located in is not as inviting -- a lot of closed shops makes the strip mall feel empty. The staff is super sweet. Multiple times people came over to the table asking us how we heard of the restaurant, if we liked the food, if there was anything else they could help us with. Wonderful experience. The food was good. The vegetable Samosa was fantastic. The garlic naan was out of this world. However, the only reason I can't give this restaurant a perfect 5 is the entrées. Were they good? -- YES. Were they excellent -- I guess I can't say yes without some explanation. If I had to make a complaint... I would say the entrées were bland. I ordered the lamb korma. The lamb was delicious. The sauce was just bland. And I don't mean spicy... You can add however much spice you want. There just seemed to be a lack of regular seasoning. It was good. It was just missing something. Same with the butter chicken. It was lacking the sweetness in the flavor I generally get and enjoy with the dish. Once again... It was good. Just not excellent. I look forward to going back and maybe this was just a less seasoned day.

Walls are missing paint and it looks like it hasn't been updated since the 80's although these owners have only been there for 4 years. But you just sit back and listen to the Latin music in peace imagining you are in Cuba as you eat. If ambience is what you are looking for, a to go order would be better. Came by this restaurant by way of a Yelp search for restaurants in the area…read more I had read the reviews and it looked like it was well know for its Cuban sandwich. Me and hubby walk in and are greeted immediately with a friendly hello. When we were seated, we told the man that seated us we were newbies. He brought us out our water and told us to take our time looking over the menu. When were were ready to order, we decided to just split the cuban sandwich and get an order of fries. When the food came out, (on two plates!!) we were so glad we did decide to split the sandwich. It was HUGE!! It was also SO GOOD!! Fries were nice and hot and crispy. Highly recommend this place, when we get back to FL we want to try some more of the other tasty sounding menu items.

It was a little crowded though. I could've squeezed in. I chose a table though. My sever was very good. She brought the specials to my attention. She was attentive, thoughtful and professional. And she was nice. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. It wasn't perfect though. There was some confusion on my order. Another staff member brought a couple of things to my table. An appetizer and a salad. The app wasn't mine. I don't think the salad was either, but she insisted it was my salad. I don't think it was, but it was fine. Also, there were a couple of other little things. Like I was given olive oil with my bread but no butter. It wasn't that big of a deal, and I didn't mention it. They have a system. One person seats you. Another person takes your order, but a number of people come to your table. This is all normal stuff. And it was Saturday night. A few hiccups can be expected. But in addition, I noticed a few goings on at other tables. Servers socializing with customers who are friends and such. Not a big deal, unless there are oversights. I will for sure be back to Carrabba's. Nothing that occurred on this night was a dealbreaker or worth bringing to anyone's attention, but noticeable.
