Not much open in Abingdon later in the evening. Thank you Papa Julio's! Food and service was good and the beer was cold. Nice setup and looked like they had a pretty large bar area if you wanted to come hang out for a bit. I ended up forgetting my credit card and had to come back and get it. I appreciate they hung on to it and i was able to pick it back up.

Shrimp fajitas.

The food is very good, It's more of a Mexican American fusion than traditional Mexican cuisine. The service is great, they make sure they have your drinks topped off and they keep the chips & salsa coming until your food gets to your table however it take a while to get the food to the table. Overall it was a great experience , It's a perfect place for dinner & a movie.

Ate here again last week! This is now my go to for a steak. Tried the tomahawk steak, fantastic! This place is so reasonably priced and some of the best service and most relaxing atmosphere! If you think this is a Mexican restaurant, it is not. This is a steak house!

It might have just been the holiday rush, but I always figure "busy means good," so my expectations were high--and The Local didn't disappoint. We started with the nachos; they were delicious, though I do wish they came with a bit more meat. For mains, the burger was outstanding--probably one of the best we've had in the entire area. We also ordered the Brazilian steak, which was cooked perfectly and came with great plantains. The quinoa with tofu was good, too, though it was a little dry and would have been perfect with a sauce. The service really stood out. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and refilled my water at least four times without me asking. Great ambiance and an all-around good experience. Definitely worth the wait!

Will 100% return and this is definitely a spot not to be missed. Also fantastic beer selection!!!

That Ranch burger is massive with beef patty, bacon, fried mozzarella sticks and cowboy candy! Very good as well. The shrimp po'boy was good and I really liked how they separated the contents in the to go order so the bread wouldn't get soggy. The waiter was prompt, attentive and very friendly. The atmosphere has a rustic industrial vibe, with dim, warm lighting complemented by natural light from the windows. It felt calm and quiet, perfect for a relaxed meal. The seating was well spaced out, and some spots had comfortable, cushioned chairs. Service time was decent, and they use paper menus. They brought out complimentary cornbread muffins -- a nice touch -- though the portion was small. They were slightly sweet with tiny red pepper bits, which gave them a subtle kick. I ordered the Boss Mac & Cheese. It was served warm-ish, and the presentation was great. The flavors were well-balanced and satisfying. However, the chicken was on the dry side and the BBQ is very acidic, which took away from an otherwise solid dish. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back to try something else on the menu though

Hey friends! I went out with some new coworkers to this cool spot downtown…read more This spot is the rose that grew from concrete. Bristol is a rural town but certain areas are becoming more chic, such as this rooftop bar. I ordered a brown sugar old fashioned to start with. It was AMAZING. I would definitely recreate it at home, the flavors balance perfectly. For my entree, I had the chicken sandwich. The batter was perfectly crispy and seasoned well. I like that they use chicken thighs, which are juicy and makes for a delicious sandwich. Fries were okay, I wish they weren't steak fries. +Our server was friendly! She recommended great menu items. +Limited parking +Outdoor seating with a beautiful overlook of the city. Indoor seating as well. +Prices are a little above average. +Restaurant was clean and well stocked. I hope enjoy!

Hands down, people, this is the best bar in Bristol. Why?…read more Happy Hour! M-F from 2-5pm, all the Shareables are 50% off and drinks are really discounted! It's a really great way to try the food! Food (5/5): Elevated bar food! The kitchen from the downstairs restaurant, Vivian's Table, makes the food and it is really delicious. We tried the popcorn shrimp, which are breaded and crispy. Really great. We of course, had to try the Mountain of fries - these are matchstick fries and the best part was the three different sauces that come with it. The chipotle ketchup was my favorite. We also tried the wings, which were good..I am not a huge wing fan, though. The jalapeno poppers (wrapped in bacon with a cheese filing) were great, as were the steak nachos. And of course, the hummus with the fry bread was great, too. My hubby liked the hazy IPA that was on draft. Even better at $3.50 a pint during Happy Hour. I really liked the cocktails - some of my favorite was a new espresso based tequila (for the summer menu) and the creamsicle. Service (5/5): Everyone up here is super nice - the manager Landry, bartender Raine and all the servers were really fantastic. Ambiance (5/5): Location - This is the top of the Bristol Hotel, and one of the only rooftop bars in Bristol. From the top you have a lovely view of the famous Bristol sign, great when it lights up at night.

I ordered a burrito with shrimp, octopus, a whole poblano, avocado, shredded cheese all inside the burrito. I also asked for a lot of limes on the side. They came out after we took our order to go so he could check on it because he asked me numerous times about the cheese I wanted. I had said I do not want anything on top of my burrito and hate the liquid cheese. The person who made my burrito used the liquid cheese, similar to nacho cheese consistency on top. No shredded cheese inside. So they didn't give my bf his cheese sauce he paid for. My burrito was nasty. They didn't put a whole poblano, the first half of the burrito had a few small pieces of poblano, barely any octopus, no shredded cheese inside, they didn't give me any limes. I HATE this crap cheese sauce that "mexican" food places use in Tennessee. Legit Mexican food places don't use this fake liquid cheese. My bf said his nachos were good. Problem is.. I was on the toilet all night because of this cheese. I say this because it was the same cheese they put on his nachos and... he was sick to his stomach for the rest of the night and then he had his turn on the toilet.

My husband ordered five enchiladas each with a different stuffing. While delicious, unless you haven't eaten since last Thursday, who can consume so many enchiladas?! I shouldn't talk. The house special quesadilla -- always excellent -- is a lot of food. Ever resourceful, I took half back, put the chicken and peppers on a bagel and ate it for breakfast! (Note to self AND my husband: next time let's split one and maybe forego the steak and chicken. Chorizo and shrimp?!) Moving on, the salsa bar is great with smooth, chunky, mild and spicy salsas. That's not counting the warm bean spread brought to the table with their thin and crisp chips. Our margaritas -- $6 each -- are not only good but pretty, topped with berries and a flower. Here it is, Monday night -- not a typical going-out day of the week -- and the place is busy with locals. Pretty good testimony to what's become one of my favorite Mexican restaurants.
