We were in the mood for tacos and we noticed that this place had a tackle bar. For $13.50 that's not a bad price at all. They have taco shells and taco salad shells, a good variety of meats which include shrimp. A salsa bar and also an area with condiments. The food is delicious! Oh that taco bar has nearly everything you could want! Bar has al pastor tacos, seasoned beef, chicken, steak, rice, refried beans, etc. Everything we tried was delicious. Okay where to start. TACO BAR wait let me say that a little differently so you understand, an ALL YOU CAN EAT TACO BAR!! My inner fat kid was so happy to eat some Mexican food and not have to choose just one or some premade combination someone else thought was best! And it wasn't just tacos! It was taco salad, hard tacos, soft tacos, fajitas, burritos, all of it! And not just basic meat either!!! There was taco beef, shredded chicken, fajita style chicken and veggies, fajita style shrimp and veggies, el pastor, refried beans, Spanish rice, and alllll the salsas you could want! And it was all delicious!!! Service was amazing, the fresh juices were amazing, the decor inside was cute and clean, while outside they had a very fun and festive Christmas display. Fire! Being from Texas, I'm skeptical about Mexican food around here but this place is legit. The taco bar is well worth it. Fajita chicken, shredded chicken, ground beef, shrimp and pastor. The pastor was my favorite. Then they have taco shells, corn and flour tortillas and crispy taco bowls with all the fixings like rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream etc. lots! In the old 5 Guys spot...have done a great job transforming this place into a Tex-Mex buffet! ALL YOU CAN EAT for 13.50! Also order off the menu, take out. Great choices of beers and mixed drinks. If I could give less than 1star I would the woman who set the manger I was told , was rude , the food was bad the refried beans was spoiled when we told her she said no no it's not we asked her to try them she refused, Then she refused to come back to our table for drink refills, when we left we watched them cover up food on the bar to reserve it the next day, So they don't make fresh food til the pot is empty, There was a bug in the toppings bar, People beware when you eat here. Everyone in my group go sick either throwing up all night or diarrhea or both. The manager was rude to us. I will not be going back I will earn every one that I can... Stopped in between lunch and dinner so it wasn't very busy, but the food was great and very fresh! I got the Vegetarian A. and it was very filling. The space was very clean and there is also outdoor seating. If I had more time, I would've stayed and tried out the taco bar. When I'm back in Bristol, I'll be coming back for more! Everything here is delicious! I live in Johnson city but drive up here every now and then just to eat here. The Al Pastor is amazing on the taco bar. The taco bar is all you can eat and is a great way to get a variety of food. They have taco bowl shells, soft shells, hard shells, and bowls if you're doing keto. The food is very fresh and they are constantly replenishing food without delay. The servers are always friendly and prompt with getting drink refills and the atmosphere is nice. The only thing I would change is I need one closer to home! I recommend this place to everyone when talking about favorite Mexican restaurants. read more

I inquired about the Chicken Tortilla Soup as we were paying our check (as I have yet to find legit CTS in the Tri-Cities) and Jorge, one of the partners invited me to try a small sample of the soup. I was looking forward to a small sample - maybe ¼ cup, but lo and behold he brings me a regular size serving (a BOWL) and was speechless!! I mean, who does that these days?! I could only get down a couple bites of the soup because I was stuffed from my meal. ‍And I felt absolutely horrible in not being able to eat it all (and I wasn't about to ask for a to-go bowl), but I was just genuinely filled with joy with this unexpected gesture of kindness. I called in an order from a local hotel, a charming lady took my order and it was delivered in about 25 minutes, which I find amazing. I had tacos and Chiles rellenos which were the best I've ever ever had anywhere including the southwest. I had them cook a plain chicken breast to feed my dog who had gotten very finicky on our trip. I'm not the one to ever leave a bad review but this one is upsetting. so I ordered DoorDash i got 40+ dollars worth of food to be disappointed and feeling hungry. So on to the dishes I bought I got the fajitas 123 All the vegetables where still hard definitely not cooked fully like chopping throwing it in enough get warm and done when I eat fajitas like little bite but these was just warm raw veg. The fajitas had no flavor no salt no pepper no seasonings no juice the chicken was just plain white chunks steak plain shrimp I didn't chance till I recooked after the first one I ate I knew I needed to. The chicken A LA parrilla no sauce on it was again hard veggies and chicken flat white pieces we was just eating unflavored chicken and hard veggies that tasted like nothing. Then chili relleno I'm a lover of these I could just eat only these but not this time the chili was again not cooked fully so had strong raw pepper taste the red sauce tasted out of can over powered the beef hardly any cheese.Im just unhappy when I have to wait 30+ mins headache I had all day and had to throw everything in skillet to recook it just to say it's not worth it now.I wished I took before pic just didn't think migraine and dreading ordering more food if it came to it. I had to add seasoning and little paste broth to get some flavor literally both dishes tasted the same so combined. I took the pepper out of the sauce and going try recook it. I'm not doing this review to be hateful at all but maybe slow down make sure stuff taste good and or at least looks good enough to want to eat. I read other reviews maybe wasn't a good day today I don't want this to stop others from trying maybe wasn't my day. Really good and underrated Tex-mex. Salsa bar was very fresh and all that we tried were really good. The fajita burrito was massive and tons of cheese. The grilled vegetable burrito was also huge and extremely fresh. The atmosphere was good and the prices were easily worth it. The service was perfect too.
