I have been going to pappa murphys on Elverta for many years. I have had some good pizzas and some made not so good. The last 2 have not been what i want. Last thin crust literally broke apart it was so thin. And crust looked weird. They gave me a free one,so went today to get thin crust family size, gave them my instructions, when got home and cooked it they gave me regular crust not thin, plus not much vegis on it. I crave the chicken bacon artichoke pizza and monkey bread sometimes... Frustrated because tonight I ordered online and only the pizza was ready. I went to grab the monkey bread but only the 5-cheese bread was in the fridge. I told them I ordered the garlic monkey bread and the lady working looked at me and sighed. "Well I guess we'll have to make one. It'll be about 5 minutes." I'm 45 minutes behind my pick up time... This isn't the first time the side was messed up. We ordered pizzas for our boys which baked up quick in the oven. I ordered a Keto Pizza and chicken ceasar salad. The salad was huge, I ate it for lunch for three days. I haven't had Papa Murphy's in years so I'd give it a shot. They have a special for a large Cowboy pizza for $13. The Cowboy is pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, olives, and their "herb and cheese blend"....okay whatever. By the way, I cooked this at 425F for 12 minutes then took it off the tray and cooked the pizza directly on the rack for another two minutes. First bite in....dry. Second.....dry and flavorless even with all these toppings. The pepperoni has no pep and the sausage has no sage. These ingredients are boring! Olives were just plain black olives and mushrooms...well there wasn't much they could do about it. If they would have added about 50% more sauce to this thing, it would have helped. And I don't like a real saucy pizza. But this thing needed some help and I did what I could. Added some red pepper flakes and a little bit of garlic powder to help wake this thing up. It really didn't help much. A similar pizza at Round Table would cost twice as much. Fine. It's a far superior pizza with great ingredients and an incredible sauce. Is it twice as good? Yep. So don't expect much, you get what you pay for. With some help (before cooking) adding some good parmesan cheese, some oregano, pepper flakes, maybe some minced garlic, etc....you could save thing poor thing. Just went to Papa Murphy's Pizza and am literally speechless at how rude they were. They handed me my pizza and I said, "oh, that's wrong, there were only supposed to be Bell peppers on half." So this kid, Alissa, grabs my receipt and says, "it says less, not none." And I said "oh, there weren't supposed to be any." She says we can fix it (with major attitude), unwraps it and starts picking them off. So I asked if they could just remake it and she says, "no, we aren't allowed. I waited about 15 minutes till I received my pizza. Baked my pizza at 350 degrees for 31 minutes. Pizza was dry. The meat is flavorless. Sauce seems non existent. The crust wasn't rolled/folded in properly and opened up while it baked. I don't think I'll be going back to this location again. Definitely not worth the price. Even a pepperoni pizza from little Cesar's has more flavor to it and well worth the price compared to this 25$ stuffed pizza. Horrible experience. read more

First of all, I always love Papa Murphy's! Secondly, I recommend the Chicken Bacon Artichoke if you like white pizza sauce and if you like red sauce then I recommend getting the Cowboy Pizza. This pizza rates as one of the best pizzas I ever had in life! Although I have seen these pizza shops everywhere I travel I never had the desire to eat there. I'm visiting family in California so my sister stopped there to pick up a pizza and salads. When you walk in you see a big menu and a pizza station ready for the pizza architect to create. All you see is fresh ingredients ready for your pizza vision needs. They were quick making our pizza so we headed home to cook it. The pizzas already are made on a pizza pan you can use directly in the oven with cooking directions on the package. In 15 minutes give or take depending on your oven. The fresh ingredients, the sauce, and the crust all comes together to create a fantastic pizza experience! While stopping by our local Papa Murphys my husband was turned away with his $50 bill. I was a little upset as we stop by maybe twice a month and never had an issue before. I stepped in and asked what was the problem? We come in often enough and there is no sign on display stating they do not accept a particular currency. When I made this statement one of the gals behind the counter retrieved a small hidden laminated document stating they do not accept bills larger than $20. If this is in fact a true policy it should be on display for all to see at all times in addition to being fair and consistent at all times. You can't tell me if your purchase is over X amount of dollars you can then accept funds over $20 because you then violate your own hidden policy. Now this is the second item on their menu board they have hanging above the counter. Seems to me a featured item menu might want to keep the featured item in stock. Employee says they have no way to alert people that do online orders, until I remind them I called it in. Not the employee's fault, they did offer to replace it with the steak or anything else, problem was, I ordered the fennel sausage because that's the only thing I like from here. Always fresh ingredients and enough pizza to serve the whole family (if you upgrade to a large or family size). However, customer service is what sells this place! The employees are always smiling and they seem to really want to make sure you leave a happy customer. The smores dessert pizza is amazing too! If you're in Antelope or North Highlands and you want quality pizza for a great price (and I mean, you get a lot of pizza) then this place is for you! My one suggestion is if you call in an order, make sure you speak slowly enough for them to catch all of your ingredients. This especially goes for if you have a lot of little toppings, like zesty herb or parmesan. Last time I ordered a call in order on the app. And it said 6:04pm ready by 6:34pm so I come pick up 6:40 and the pizza is not done so I say okay no worries they are busy and a little behind. It's 7:00pm flat now and I see a guest walk in and they greet and ask pick up order or online order he says no just ordering now. He then orders and walks away In The store. 7:08 rolls by and he gets his pizza before me. The store manager and other manager one working the register the other working the back are present around 6:55pm btw. I then stand up after seeing the guy get his food way before my call in order an ask is my order ready for "name" an he says no we are still working on it. At this point very frustrated already eating extremely long for a call in order. Agin please a. A business prioritize your customers that are "CALL IN ORDERS" they are call ins for a reason correct? I understand short staffing but that has nothing to do with prioritizing orders. Second bad experience today I order at 6:35pm and after last visit I said no I'll wait till way after the pick up time which was 7:05pm I arrive at 7:34 they greet me and I say pick up order for "name" and the gentlemen says ok it's going to be about 10 min ok. At this point I'm just like whatever this is expected at this location I guess. I did get my order however within 5 min of waiting this time but the time frame was well over 35 min past mi pickup time. I got to the store and the cashier took an order over the phone before she got to me. Even though they had already asked me my name for my pizza order. I placed my online order around 11 am for a pickup time of 5pm. I didn't even get to the store till 5:30 almost and they couldn't find a piece of my order. One the workers said with sass attitude well we're busy so we might just not have made it yet. But I put the order in at 11 so I was confused. She said we can make it again but it's gunna take us some time we're really busy. Then another girl just gave me a different pizza to get me out of there wasn't even my order or what I had paid for. A middle aged woman, perhaps of Indian descent (I'm terrible with nationalities so please forgive me) who I'm assuming is the owner helped me last time I was in. I recently went vegan and called in a pizza with all sorts of delicious veggies and no cheese. When she read my order back to me, correctly I might add, the customer in front of me turned around and said who eat's pizza with no cheese?!?! The owner/employee, who clearly noticed my offense at the judgement this customer had no place to make, immediately launched into a story about how they just had a vegan in last week and learned all about it.
