Hubby's bday today so we decided to give mountain mikes another shot. He loves their curly pepperoni! Today was much better than last time. I decided to write a message stating that even when we mark extra sauce there is barely any at all, so please add extra sauce. I was joking to my husband that to be sassy they would drown the pizza in sauce but they didn't and it was the perfect amount of sauce. The food was hot and fresh this time. So tell me why have a sign outside your business advertising your lunch buffet M-F during lunchtime if you aren't doing it?? My wife and I took a lunch date and wanted some pizza and salad from here. Well, that didn't happen. We walked in at about 12.15pm. There were NO customers in there. As we walked in the guy behind the counter was just chillin' and watching TV. We told him we're here for the lunch buffet. "Oh, we aren't doing that today. Short staffed." Then WHY TF IS IT BEING ADVERTISED!!! We would've been fine grabbing a salad while he was making some pizzas but it just seems as though this dude was being lazy and intent on doing any work at all. So if you are looking for a pizza lunch buffet, don't come here because they clearly don't offer what is being advertised on a big ol banner outside of the restaurant. Go to Round Table cause they have a lunch buffet that they actually have daily. Lost our business today and possibly forever. read more

I've always been a huge fan of "Mountain Mike's Pizza" dating as far back as the 1980's as they've always been consistently delicious, affordable, and have never disappointed me. The location I am reviewing is in the Foothill Farms/Citrus Heights area directly on Auburn Blvd. with the nearest major cross street being Garfield Ave. From the outside, this place looks straight out a different time period. Even when I moved to the Sacramento area in the early-2000's, it looks no different than it does in 2024. Now going onto the inside of the building. Even though this place is spacious with seating that can fill up several large groups complete with several TV's for viewing, a pool table, and two restrooms, it looks as if it is in desperate need of a redesign. If you can get past the fact that this place has serious 1980's vibes with the flooring, wooden chairs w/burnt red upholstery, worn ceiling tiles, and just a funky looking feel to it (inside and out). However, as long as the food is good is really all that matters. Since I wasn't needing a huge pizza, I actually took advantage at one of their mobile deals. This is in partnership with the NBA basketball team, Sacramento Kings. Every single time they play at home and are leading the opposing team at halftime, you are eligible in receiving a FREE one-topping mini pizza with the purchase of a 20 oz. bottled beverage. Since the drink was only $2.99 + tax, I hardly spent anything on this pizza! Keep in mind that this only works through the Mountain Mike's app but in the few times I have used it, I have never had an issues. With my most recent purchase, I went with the chicken and creamy garlic sauce in a mini size. After placing my order, it was ready within 12 minutes. Once I made the short drive home, my mini pizza was piping hot and absolutely delicious. All in all, "Mountain Mike's Pizza" continues to shine as one of the better pizza parlors in California and west coast for that matter. Their prices are lower than "Round Table" and "Papa John's" while always offering coupons and specials through their circular mailer. With that said and done, I am giving them an above average four-star rating. read more

I have ordered from this location many times. Each time, I order the same thing so my order is saved and easy to place. Tonight I ordered three mini pizzas. Two arrived with no cheese. They were also hard as rocks. I called the store to ask for replacement pizzas and they refused. They said I ordered with no cheese and they will not fix the issue. I have the receipt that says cheese for all three pizzas. The manager said if they sent new pizzas they would lose money., I explained that they wouldn't lose money if the pizza was made correctly. After they refused to replace my kids pizzas, I called DoorDash. They were wonderful and replaced the pizzas. Please see the attached receipt and pizzas missing cheese. The manager was rude and unhelpful. Saying they made it how I ordered it. Which is incorrect. I wasn't looking for anything free, just to fix my kids pizzas. Horrible customer service. read more

Just called to make an order. First, they hung up. Then I called back and the first person said hi how can I help you, but then started a conversation with another person while I was talking. Then they asked again how they could help me. So I explained a second time. SILENCE. So I say hello. And I hear again, hello, how can I help you. Ordered online for pickup and when my husband got there they messed up the pizza (per them) and had to make it over. So the cheese garlic bread sat there. They had remade the pizza, but were in such a hurry I suppose so they didn't make it well done. We also got a salad and they did not give us the salad dressing we ordered. Never got the marinara with the garlic cheese bread nor did we get the extra marinara or pizza sauce we ordered and paid for. Plus my husband was gone 45 minutes instead of the normal 20. Next time I'll just go back to Dominos. Their New York style is pretty good and they've never screwed up an order yet. read more

this place honestly sucks. I waited 20 minutes for food that was already made and put on the rack. i let them know i was there right when i got there, i gave them my order, and they said it was still in the oven. i mentioned that the man making the pizzas wasn't wearing gloves, NOR was he washing his hands until i asked about the gloves. I watched him put all of the toppings on the pizza and let the ones that didn't stick to the pizza fall right off back into the container for the next pizza, exposing the next person to potential allergies. After i said something, he purposely took forever to give me my food, claiming it "wasn't ready" while he had it hiding under a grate. I placed an order on 8/14 for delivery on 8/15 at 1150A. The order was a business order. When I placed the order I asked if it could be delivered by 1150, I was told yes, no problem, so I placed the order and paid. On 8/15 I received a text at 1143A, stating the order would be delivered at 1214P. I called and told "Melissa" (reported name) that I ordered the day before and was told it would be delivered, she said they didn't have a driver and DoorDash was going to deliver, I as if I could come pick it up because this lunch was for a business meeting, she said yes to come pick it up. When I went inside she told me she called the owner and he told her she couldn't cancel DoorDash and I said wait, are you telling me you're not going to give me the pizz? she said no, you have two choices, I can refund you and we can cancel the order or you can have DoorDash deliver it. Worst customer service ever! She acted as if I did something wrong, which was challenging for me, considering I called the day before and was told it would be delivered by 1150. Today I ordered one through DoorDash to be delivered and it was way below the quality that we get in their pizzas when we pick them up! I went for the lunch buffet and the salad bar was well stocked and fresh! Many choices for pizza as well. Bait and switch! This is the second time I've gone there in response to an email promotion. The first time, it seemed like I could've made a mistake, so I went ahead and just bought the order. This time, I was responding to a 49ers Special of 49% off a large pizza when they won a game. I read the email multiple times, and follow the directions precisely. I tried multiple ways mention, and it was not possible to find the discount. I went in and talked to the cashier about it, and he told me that Other people had used it, and I must be doing something wrong or my email didn't match or something. He offered me the employee discount of 25% off. However, I came for 49% off. I've been waiting since Sunday for this, because I've never succeeded in using this discount. After 45 minutes of trying, I finally gave up. I told the young man that he should tell his manager what it happened, and let him know that I would be deleting my rewards account, unsubscribing from the email, and letting everyone I knew know about what happened. As I walked out, I saw an elder gentleman come up and talk to the cashier, and assumed it was the manager. I hoped he would actually make an effort to come talk to me. Nope. That'll be the last time I walked through those doors. With all the different pizza places within my reach, and with bills generally running $100 plus when I place an order, I guess my business just wasn't worth their time. read more

I've been coming to this Mountain Mike's location for about 20 years. Over the past 20 years, I've experienced other locations and other brands of pizza. But I always come back here, no matter how far I move away. Not only for their great pizza but also because of the great service. However, today I saw service that I have never seen in any other restaurant in my life. A homeless man walks in, he's talking to the staff. They're not kicking him out, yelling at him, making a scene or belittling him about his situation. They give packed a small box of food and drink and gave it him. It brought tears to my eyes. Had my sons 16th birthday party there last night. The food was awesome but the customer service was horrible! The young lady with red and black hair was awful! She was very rude and short with everyone. When approached about it she turned around and walked away not trying to address the issue. I ordered a small pizza and called it in for carryout. When I went to pick it up I just paid and left. When I open the pizza it was really small and I bought this pizza for 3 adults. Their small pizza was almost the same size as a personal sized pizza. And that wasn't going to feed 3 adults. I asked for a refund and one of the workers in the front instantly wanted to argue with me and repeatedly said he didn't want to give us the refund. Not to mention the pizza wasn't touched and I came back in 5 minutes. He tried lying saying he was the one that took my order when somebody completely different took my order. And he was arguing with me back-and-forth about the refund. As this is happening his co workers and lead are telling him not to argue with us and process the refund. And he starts arguing with his employees saying no ! He then calls his boss about the situation and his boss said to process the refund . It's just crazy that he was arguing with us like that and wouldn't listen to his employees . he was very aggressive and disgusting ! terrible customer service ! He should not be working in this field. he needs to learn how to treat people accordingly, very disrespectful and inconvenience to me and my family that night. read more

Ordered pizza for our work and specifically told the person taking our order over the phone today 4/30/21 at around 11:20am "No Pork" on our pizza about 6 different times .
