Love love love places like this with the old school diner vibe - and a shit ton of options! I ordered the veggie skillet served on hash browns. It was good, but once I saw my friend's breakfast potatoes with peppers and onions...I'll be swapping out that for the base next time. My friend ordered the sausage gravy and biscuits - and she's still raving about it (it smelled delicious). The service was fast and thoughtful - would definitely recommend for any meal of the day - their menu is huge! We are from out of town and stumbled upon this restaurant after ihop was insanely packed. I immediately looked them up and their menu looked awesome and we are a starving softball family . We were not disappointed. The staff were busy but friendly and efficient. Breakfast was on point and their sweet tea was amazing! Went to Papa's for a late breakfast today and ordered three pancakes with two eggs and two sausage patties. About an hour later, they brought me my meal... one pancake shy of what was ordered. I disregarded it and proceeded to eat. As I was taking a bite of the sausage, I thought I noticed a weird smell, but I saw sausages on other plates so I gave it no further thought. That was my big mistake... two hours later I was vomiting and running for the bathroom... where I have spent a majority of the day praying for mercy! 12 hours later and I am still finding myself sitting on the toilet. Aside from the $16 bill for a simple breakfast, Papa's gave me the gift of bubblegut! My suggestion, iHop is just around the corner and it is much cleaner and cheaper. read more

It appears you have to be a rockerfeller to be able to afford a mean these days. We ordered breakfast and coffee and the bill came to $30 for two people. The eggs were good, taters bland, Bacon was like eating a plank, but the sausage was ok. The place looks clean and they have plenty of help, but we simply cant afford to eat there. This is the quintessential local breakfast dinner. Been here twice before while traveling through and both times have been just what I expected. The menu is classic southern with big portions and low prices. I opted for the hashes and both times they were filled to to max with ingredients and flavor. This is a classic dinner, you dont come here to find something fancy or healthy for that matter, yoy come here to get a flavorful meal that you can take on the day with. The service was actually really nice, both times our waitresses have been extremely nice and entertaining, they really add to that classic southern experiance. And while the location itself could better fit that mold, they've made it work. When you do go make sure your patient if your going during peak hours becuse it does get full, but dont worry, you will too. My husband & I went on Sunday, 7/18/21, around 11:30, and they were very busy. We had pretty good service & food, but the girl busing tables was run ragged. She actually did something I observed that was quite disturbing. She spilled some of what she was removing from a table, picked that up & cleaned the floor with her wet cloth & then she wiped the table with the same cloth She cleaned several tables with that same wet cloth. Might wanna take some wipes to clean the table before eating. No stars for cleanliness. 4 stars for food & service. read more

Waited 45 minutes for our overpriced breakfast. I was told that the Sunday daily special came with bacon, your choice of hash browns or fries and your choice of toast or biscuit and gravy. mind you the special says $7.99 on the menu. I also ordered a Short stack with a piece of bacon and one scrambled egg. Was told it was $4.99. Then ordered a short stack to go $2.99. Ordered a milk, coffee, and an apple juice. Asked the waitress for ketchup 3 times and she never brought it so I had to ask the table next to me for ketchup. Ended up paying $32 for this food and drink mind you. The cashier was rude when we questioned the amount for what we got. I've waitressed at a few places in my life and wasn't impressed with the staff. The food was not that great. I will never go back. You can get better and more food for your money going to IHop or Denny's. read more

My husband and I decided to try this place out for the first time. I had friends tell me this place is amazing. I guess we didn't get that experience there. We walked in about 12:15 pm sherry was our server and was very pleasant. We ordered two omelettes my husband ordered the meat lovers and I ordered mushroom and Swiss with ham. Our food arrived an hour later. They brought my husbands omelette out and both of our biscuits. My food wasn't quite ready when I finally got it this is what it looked like. It not only looked like they scraped the last of the hash browns off the griddle but my omelette look terrible and tasted bland. Super disappointed wouldn't recommend to anyone. Friendly atmosphere. The waitressing staff is really good and attentive; however I think the cooks need to pay more attention to the order on the ticket that the waitress is writing down. I ordered huevos rancheros "fried over well" and got the eggs scrambled instead. Nonetheless, it is very minor but the few times I eat out, I would expect to have my order done right. Not gourmet but hot and delicious. The omelets are well made. Service isn't perfect, but if they make a mistake they own it. The food is always great. I used to come here many many years ago when I was in the Army and I used to come maybe once a week. My husband is stationed here now and we've only been here about 3 times since September. The customer service is not as good as before but still better than most places here in the area. Every time we came it always looked dirty, so messy that my 3 year old had to comment on how messy it was. Menu seems to large for just one cook. Pick 20 items and specialize in them. Place could use a thorough cleaning top to bottom. Checkout the greasy/dirty walk-in coolers. The food was amazing, delicious and very satisfying. I had the Texican omelet and it was the bombaski! The portions are exactly what i would need since I am 6'2 145lbs, and the coffee kept coming at just the right rime.i ordered my food and presto! 10 minutes later or less there it was. After she did take our order however, she was more attentive. **The Food I had the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes and green beans with a side of beef and vegetable soup. The soup was actually quite good. It had very good and robust flavors and they did not skimp on the vegetables. The chicken fried steak was decent, and filled me up as I hoped. The mast potatoes and green beans seemed to be just out of a can or box. Unfortunately, we both got sick less than an hour after eating here so I have to give it one star.
