This place is totally awesome . I brought my new truck in to get something done and taking a tour of the place had me speechless. How is there a barber shop inside this place who thought of that ? Fantastic idea !!!! They have a full service diner with bar seats and tables right next to the waiting area. They serve breakfast and lunch(8am-2pm) . It is a little nostalgic too with the old school look to it . They also have a store to purchase things for your vehicle. Bathrooms are neat and clean and the employees here always asking if you need anything . I decided on ordering a double cheeseburger (8.00) meal for me and my oldest son who came with me . The fries and drink added an extra (3.50) to it. The burgers were delicious. The bun was toasted on the grill also making it taste even better. The fries were pretty good . Came back next day and ordered steak,egg,peppers & onions on a toasted wrap. The wow factor took place when it arrived . It looked good & tasted even better. So as I stated earlier, went to papa dodge in new Britain. Looking for a New Car for my son,while choosing a car and waiting on the loan approval. I was told that there is a diner inside under new management. It's called Sound Diner and so I'm bringing it hear to your attention. The service is excellent nice and polite Ma and pop owners. There looking to grow and do more with the diner. And putting out some good food, in order to build it. My cheeseburger was cooked to perfection, hot off the grill taste. Fresh lettuce, nice melted cheese. My Son had tomatoes, I had just the lettuce and onions . Both came with fries and onions, I also had one of the days special the mac and cheese with crackers. Cheesy and that cracker crunch was delicious. We will definitely go back to eat and try more of there dishes. So weather you are looking for a car or just hungry. Check out the new diner, Sound Diner in the PaPa Dodge Building in New Britain Connecticut. You won't be disappointed, that's all for now until the next review. I want to lead off this review by saying that I bought from Papa's Dodge primarily because of my experience working with Henri Michaud. BACKGROUND: To best describe why Henri became a significant factor, I will share that I visited three different dealerships with the intention of purchasing the same year/model of a car - two were virtually identical in terms of overall condition and pricing (the first had a near-pristine interior and the second from Papa's Dodge had a little wear and tear) and the last had much more mileage and was advertised for a lower price point. While the vehicles I was considering were similar, my experiences with the dealerships were very different. CONS (both at Papa's Dodge & at other dealerships): The finance manager at Papa's Dodge was better than at other dealers, but doesn't get full marks since he could've focused our conversation on the contract over other topics. While I did what I can to stay on topic, it could've been smoother. Regardless, the info worked out with what I had discussed with Henri and the finance manager at Papa's Dodge was better than at other dealerships who were either flat out lying regarding cost-benefits of finance timeframes & other fees. PROS (pretty much just at Papa's Dodge): My experience working with Henri was 100% comfortable. He was not pushy and was clearly honest. He and I spoke about the history of vehicle, past & future maintenance, what each fee meant for buyers, and pros and cons with many other topics. He's very good at explaining and at having a legit two-way discussion. Furthermore, the information he gave matched that of multiple sources (both personal and via web). In addition, I got the vibe that if I were to encounter a problem down the road, Henri would be willing to give his two cents on recommended solutions, etc. His customer service was top notch. In conclusion, given the similar vehicles I was looking at different dealerships, the customer service at Papa's Dodge (primarily with Henri Michaud) eclipsed that from others' to the point that I preferred to invest the remainder of my time and money to this place and to Henri. read more

I tend to be super picky as well as an over thinker and I walked in worried about a few things, but both Zaneta and Ryan put those issues to bed. Came in to check out their fleet of dodge challengers, and it was evident that as a young female, I was not taken seriously whatsoever. A friendly man was the first to approach me in the showroom (unfortunately didn't catch his name, as he was the only positive part of my experience) and asked me if I was being helped. He told me he'd get someone right away as he doesn't deal with the challengers, he deals with the trucks, totally fine. Until I waited another 25 minutes for a salesperson to come around. Plenty of guys on their computers inside the office, but apparently payed me no attention as I was evidently looking at the cars. Finally, i was approached and from a distance was asked "can I answer any questions?" Not a handshake, not a "hi, how you doing?" Just a holler from a distance. After I had test drive and talked price, the vibe was clear that I was not being taken as a serious customer. Of course, the salesman (still did not know his name at this point) went to get his manager before I left. I then was patronized by the manager, as he told me it's better to have the pink slip for my current car before I sell (which I was VERY aware of, and didn't need to be told by a complete stranger). Both men told me that I will never get the price I'm asking for my car and I should probably trade it in (I've already gotten offers on my car after 5 days of having it up for sale). My overall experience: just like every other dealer I've been to. No hospitality, no handshake, not taken seriously as a young woman. Sexist. read more

Rob Oleskewicz was the rudest car salesman I have ever met. He judged us for whatever reason possibly racial...like we didn't have money to lease or buy a new car. We told him upfront that we just wanted to test drive a car. He immediately started talking about money. So I finally said well how much would a lease be for a Grand Cherokee and said 1000.00 not knowing our trade or money down, not to mention 1000 is a @&#&ing LIE. So we got ready to leave and as Rob walked in the building I hollered he should have let the black man help us. Why because we are an interracial couple and I am thinking we would not have been so judged. David Corbin saved the day and our opinion of this dealership. This is an "Old Boys' Club" presently, probably due to the fact that it is a seller's market for vehicles. What we found is that they do not seem to train their sales staff--but that may be due to people not wanting to sell cars. But the salesperson we saw did not demonstrate any real training. read more

I called on December 22nd with an issue where the car would not shift in to gear. As I had an extended warrantee I purchased through Papa's with the vehicle, I had to call someone else to get the issue taken care of...weird. I called as instructed and had the vehicle towed the same day to them. After hearing nothing by late the next day I called and they had to go find the car. No one could even verify it had gotten to them. They were to call me back, again nothing so I called back again. I had also asked about a loaner while the car was in, i was told they don't have loaner cars available. (Without going into how extremely calling the service department is, EVERY CALL GOES TO VOICEMAIL AND NO ONE RETURNS MESSAGES!!! They let me know parts had to be ordered but they would be in the following Tuesday. On Wednesday since I had not received an update I called to see if parts had arrived. After calling multiple time and of course no return calls from voicemails, found the parts arrived and the vehicle would be ready late the next day. SUPRISE, no communication to let me know if the vehicle was finished and no return calls when I called late in the day. I finally reach someone on Friday after leaving pointless voicemails telling me that this is a huge job and it will be ready tomorrow. Again, no answer the next day so I waited until later on Monday to call, leaving more voicemails. After the lack of follow up and the voicemail drama, I called Jeep and lodged a complaint and I did get a call later in the day telling me the vehicle would be ready the next day and they suddenly want to give me a loaner...apparently they do have loaners. The next morning I get a call from a new service tech taking over the account wanting to know what needs to be done!!!! The car was ready later that day and I did get a call from the Dealership Manager and Service Manager after I emailed in apologizing. 95% of calls roll over to voicemails which no one returns is extremely frustrating to a client and entirely unacceptable. I also have an issue that the service techs would not answer questions about what was being done, if the work was started etc.... In researching the Service Department, my experience was not an isolated one. It seems they have a track record of poor service on the Service end of the business. I will not be returning to purchase or for service. read more

My girlfriend bought a 2014 Land Rover LR4 from this dealer with 53,931 miles on 8/1/2020. Vehicle needed new tires in October because the ones on it were bald . We also noticed a smell of coolant around September 2020 a month after purchase. By March 2021 car was goin through a full gallon of coolant every 10 days. We took it to the shop and was told to repair would cost upwards snd around Six THOUSAND DOLLARS. Car had been in a accident prior to her purchase and some engine components had been reconfigured . None of which were divulged when she purchased. We finally decided to get rid of the car in June of 2021 when we traded in the car we were told the car had been in a accident and the airbags had been deployed. Also vehicle had a "SALVAGED" title. All of which this company hid from her. I would highly advise.. to not do business with this company. read more

Have a two year old Ram truck that dies randomly while driving. Talked to the service department and they told me not sure when the could get me on the schedule and are unsure of the problem so take it else where. I did not know an OEM could deny someone service for their own vehicle, not mention one that's only two years old. read more

I have taken my Jeep Gladiator there on two seperate occasions for oil changes, both times I had to bring it back with oil leaking all over the engine. Let's start with the fact that I have been having my Jeep services here ever since I purchased it. You could say I have been loyal....to a fault. Today I came in with a headlight out. I changed the bulb myself and that did not seem to fix it. I set up an appointment, which took a solid week to get, and brought the vehicle in. The guy greets me at the counter and tells me it must be the wiring and that the diagnostics for the wiring will be $135. Do I have a choice, no! Ok then. I wait two hours, no coffee offered BTW, only to find out the bulb I purchased was faulty and it just needed a new bulb. You would think it would be the first thing a reputable mechanic would try right? Put a tester on the end and see if it's getting power maybe? So at this point I'm not getting charged for the diagnostics right? Wrong! $176.27 later I have a new headlight bulb. RIP OFF ARTISTS! Do not do business with them as they will absolutely take you for a ride. read more

Update: The manager contacted me and apologized for their short comings. Also offering a refund which I declined because I now know the manager is concerned and will be working with their team. Called to inform my vehicle will be towed in. The vehicle was vandalized & keys stolen. Went through intake process at this point and informed I would be contacted. 1 week later no word. I call and was informed no body knew who's vehicle it was. Went through intake process a second time. Later that day I was contacted to authorize work. 2 days later vehicle is finished. At this point I find out the shuttle service does not service my area, 14 miles away... At pickup I'm handed my new key, pay the deductible and at no point dose anyone let me know where my vehicle is let alone get it for me. I find it and at this point it is apparent this is probably he only dealership in CT that does not wash the vehicle after they've worked on it. I normally don't come here to write reviews. However this is the field I professionalize in as a Mercedes Technician and have worked at several dealerships. All dealerships #1 goal is to go beyond the expectations of their customers. This dealership failed miserably and that's unfortunate. Business like this is what cause bad rhetoric for the people in this field that do care. Step it up. read more

The employees kept him up to date on required work, and ongoing issues. Inside is also nice, there are little shops, a diner, a barbershop, and the showroom. I went in with my husband while my car was in the shop getting an estimate. I wanted to look at some new cars and he figured he should get his oil changed (he gets free oil changes here because he bought his Jeep here). There was a decent amount of used cars to look at, unfortunately I didn't find anything I liked at all. What was nice, and I mean really nice, I didn't have to dodge a single pushy salesperson while I was looking! I took a leisurely stroll, peaked in some windows, and didn't have to listen to some commission hungry salesperson try to sell me something I didn't want. My husband's oil got changed pretty quickly but he was perturbed that the oil level wasn't taken beforehand. The oil level is supposed to be taken before the change and he's trying to keep tabs on a leak. Now he has to take it back to get the level taken in 1000 miles. Not the end of the world but annoying nonetheless. The showroom inside the dealership is pretty fun and full of old muscle cars! It was exciting to hear my husband talk about the cars. I'm sure he'd have bought one if he could! read more

sceduled an appointment for my year old ram. was getting oil, filter change and tire rotation, along with a leak coming from my a pillar. showed up, price of oil change and rotation doubled, and they wanted to charge me for the warranty leak repair. 1- papas need to hire professional people, this service writer was stuffing a sammich in his mouth with food and spew leaking out like he just gave a BJ to a client. 2- why change your prices on the oil change and rotation when i ave the email from you with the cost???? what a useless dealer and a dump......you would have thought this dealer was still in the 80's selling k-cars read more

I've been a long time customer after my last experience I will no longer be a customer. I brought my Jeep in on 6/16 to have my brakes checked. I heard a squeaking sound. I was told they did not hear it and my brake pads were good. I started hearing a grinding sound and brought the it back in on 7/30. They checked it again and told me it was unsafe to drive. I asked them how was that possible in such a short time. The explanation did not make sense to me. I called the Service Manager several time on Monday and never received a call back. On Tuesday I received as update call from Marissa I asked her to have the Service Manager call me. He finally called me on Wednesday and I still was not satisfied with his explanation. To Frank and Marissa thank you very much for your help! To Kyle I appreciate you waiving my deductible and the free detailing. I feel like it was too little too late. Papa's is great. I bought my Jeep Wrangler here in 2009 and the experience was very smooth and easy. Not a lot of dumb haggling and "let me talk to my manager" BS. I got a good deal, as far as I can tell, and they had plenty to choose from. I also continue to go back here for service, because they're very good about emailing great deals ($29 for oil change and tire rotation!) and it's a decent place to hang out while you wait for your car...they've got a diner, barber, arcade and best of all, a classic car collection. And the people in the service department are very nice and helpful. Recommended. read more

Wouldn't not purchase a car here again. Found a car online that was interested in. Evan contacted me and I started negotiations over email. I showed coworkers and family his email responses. I wanted to make sure I wasn't being too critical. He was completely condescending and rude. BUT I really was interested in the car. Was I going to give him my business? Nope. I called the dealership, told her about my experience and she referred me to Rick. Unfortunately I am pretty unavailable during their hours. He was very gracious in meeting me there on a Sunday. I loved the car, as I knew I would, and put money down to hold it. 5 days later I purchased. So why would I never purchase again? The finishing experience was terrible. After purchasing the car, I was at home and realized that one of the two car keys didn't work. I now had to take advantage of my day off, drive back up to the dealer and get it fixed. I gave Rick my key and he spent an hour with it. He then said NO ONE in the dealership could figure out how to open the key to change the battery. He proceeded to ask me to come back Thursday when some key guy was there. Do they not think people work? I gave them three days notice I was coming on Friday to buy the car. Along with checking mechanicals, I would think they would check the keys? It is a start/stop engine. It makes me VERY NERVOUS that the car was not properly checked. I also asked Rick during the week my car was on hold, to check that the usb plug in the car worked ( it didn't work when I first came to see the car.) He called me Wednesday and said it was working. I just checked today and is not working. I don't have time as a working professions to deal with poor customer service. read more

My fiancé and I are interested in a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT and saw that they had one available. We were hoping to trade in our 2018 Jeep Rubicon if we loved the car. Unfortunately, upon entering the energy of the staff and overall dealership was basically non-existent. We informed the gentleman helping us that we were interested in taking a look at the SRT and possibly test driving it. Seemed to be no problem until he came back and informed us that his manager wouldn't let us test drive the vehicle without a credit check! Why would anyone want an inquiry on their credit history to test drive a car? We believe management saw my fiancé and I, who on the younger side and also just got out of work so not dressed "nicely" as they say were not given the opportunity to test drive the car over simply how we looked. We would've been willing to show our paystubs which would overcompensate the qualifications to purchase that car. PAPA'S! You just lost a potential customer. Shame on you and your management. Won't be coming back and definitely will speak of our experience if someone we know wants to visit your dealership. Wishing our first visit there was a overall nice one but unfortunately it wasn't anything close. We will be giving our business and money to another dealership that is welcoming with open arms for a pretty decent car sale. Went to look at a 2014 cherokee I saw on the website only to find out the car didn't exist. The listing for the car had the wrong pictures attached to it. I ended up buying a 2014 cherokee they had on the lot and was told that everything would be checked before I took it home. Twice in one week the car shut off while I was driving. I had it looked at and it was found that the oil filter was loose and there was no oil in the car. A week after getting that fixed i found out that the flex pipe on the exhaust was rotted and had to be replaced for $500. Aside from that, Dave was excellent at helping me find a car.... read more

Wow, I can't believe how bad Papas Jeep service department is. I scheduled a service and brought my Jeep in for a known issue that my Jeep was having. After I took the mechanic out on a drive and showed him the problems he immediately gave me the run around on why they couldn't work on the it, that I shouldn't have bought a Jeep in the first place, and that I'd have to take it to the Jeep dealer I bought it from which is over 80 miles away if I wanted to service the car. He just didn't want to work on it because he knew how much time and effort it would take to fix. He then got his service rep to come out who gave me lots of different excuses on why they wouldn't work on my car. Feeling frustrated at how I was treated at Papas I drove down to Crowley Jeep service department and told them the issue and what Papas had told me. They said to me how nonses that was, and immediately scheduled me for service. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Papas Jeep. Take your car somewhere else because if its not a easy fix they will not work on it. read more

Hands down the best experience we've ever had buying a vehicle. My husband and I jumped on a Jeep Wrangler as soon as it came online. In fact it was so quick, he couldn't even drive it on our first visit because it hadn't gone though their maintenance checks yet. The price was unbelievable and below what other dealers would have charged. The customer service was amazing. Big thanks to Sharmel for dealing with me specifically cus I'm a big pain in the neck. And Frank is the best!!! Not your typical stressful 'feeling like you're getting ripped off' dealership. Financing was a breeze as well. Mark was super helpful and not pushy. Completely satisfied with both sales and service processes. Bought a 2013 Jeep Wrangler used in January, 2020. Low pressure sales approach, salesman followed through on open items with no post-sale badgering needed. Had couple items show up that needed repair with the 30 day dealer warranty period which were taken care of promptly at no charge. It's a pleasure to deal with an organization that is true to its word. More rare these days than it should be. We don't buy cars very often but if we have the need we'll be back. read more

We bought our van here a couple years ago because, quite honestly, the atmosphere is great and the process was easy. We took advantage of the extended service plan and 'tires for life' options, as these SEEM like no brainers. Well, let me be the first to tell you that is NOT the case. When you try to schedule your first tire refresh, the excuses start flying. If you haven't rotated every 6k miles on the nose, you'll be denied. If you we're a few miles late on an oil change, forget about it. God forbid you go to Jiffy Lube while in a rush one day - that's a death sentence! I couldn't believe how fast my opinion changed while going thru this. Cant even get return phone calls now. Finally had to pay $700 out of pocket today out of sheer necessity. EXTREMELY disappointed in the service. After being their biggest fan, I am now contemplating calling the BBB. read more
