If I could give less stars I would. I have been a loyal Customer for the past 13 years, I have referred so many friends and family to this place and I am sorry for all of that. The sale side is absolutely amazing, the service side is completely horrendous. I get a new car every 2-3 years, I ended up with a trail blazer which I loved, 45 days into it there was a leak, it destroyed some of my electrical. They fixed everything no problem told me they couldn't find the leak. Over the past two years I have had issues with water coming in, I have sent videos, spoke to techs. They didn't find anything. Fast forward to this past week, my car wouldn't start, I called got transferred 3x had to re-explain everything 3 times. By the time the third transfer I was annoyed, probably a little rude cause why can't you all communicate amongst each other instead of me repeating myself multiple times with each transfer. I towed the car in, they told me they were booked for weeks, I finally called today to which they told me my warranty will no longer cover this because it's weatherstripping on my sunroof is what they found the issue to be. Which if that was the case, the weatherstripping was the cause three years ago on a brand new vehicle and should've been replaced then.. it's 1600 bucks The part that really pisses me off when I went to pick up my car today, I did not let them do the work cause I'm not paying for it out-of-pocket. My service ticket has none of the issues that I had spoken about.. it said customer says battery is dead.. (no , I never said that, I was very clear and concise) I did tell them I disconnected the battery to try and reset the computer system, and I dropped the nut to the battery which did need to be replaced and I would pay for. Today's call said oh we found part of the problem, the nut was missing off the battery/. NO, I literally told 2 techs and one supervisor about the nut on the battery. Last year, my father, who has also been a loyal customer with them who was told to bring his car in for service and it would only take a couple hours, and it ended up taking a week because guess what they never even looked at it until he actually called pissed off asking for his car back. Went online, found a vehicle, contacted Sales who put me in touch with Jimmy Gallagher, a knowledgeable, great salesman. Took me on a tour of service, parts, management. Listened to everything I wanted down to the smallest detail. The vehicle was still in transit and I put a deposit on it. I subsequently added over $1,500 in accessories to upgrade its overall appearance. Service is awesome as well. Advisors are also attentive, listen and are knowledgeable and helpful. Anytime I've had s question I can call and have my question answered. The Parts department people will research a part, answer questions and are just as friendly and professional. I live 45 minutes away from dealership and there are others closer. Glad I saw the billboard, went on-line and checked out inventory and took time to call and then go down and visit in-person. All the staff from reception, to sales, service, parts, management helped make the car buying experience pleasant. Just bought a $51,000 vehicle last week. Totally forgot to request rain guards. Called today and was transferred 3 times only to be told I needed to call another number. How is this, I used to see invoices that listed List Price, then discounted Wholesale and Jobber prices. Richard Chevrolet Parts sold an item that is listed as MSRP $83.31, then charges a "selling price" of $109. I know they mark up vehicles due to demand (and greed) but to mark up parts 31% is B.S. This is the first new car I got and I feel like there was a hard sell on things I could have got cheaper outside of my loan. I guess most dealers do this but it felt pretty slimy. It appears the manager of Richard Chevrolet has erroneous information. Customer was NOT told this was a wholesale vehicle when customer called. No "program" was explained, that is a blatant lie. Customer wasted 3 hours driving to and back from Richard Chevrolet because he was not given the correct information. Customer would not have bothered with this trip if he was given honest information about the car. When arriving at Richard Chevrolet, customer was THEN TOLD that the car was in serious disrepair and needed at least $500 worth of work to even be road-worthy. IN ADDITION, this car is listed on several other sites (Facebook Marketplace, cars.com) and says NOTHING about wholesale, or "as is". Nowhere in the ads. Deception all around. I bought a car last week from a different dealership and within a week, my car had gotten totaled. My first accident ever and I was totally devastated because I loved my car. I also, was really freaked out because my credit was not at all perfect. I bit the bullet and started searching for the exact Cadillac ATS 4T that I had just lost. I found it on Cargurus at Richard Chevy. I called early in the morning and was pleasantly greeted and transfer over to a salesman named Bob. I explained to Bob all that I wanted, but also shared with him my concerns and credit challenges. He told me to come out and make sure I loved the car and we would take it from there. I arrived to the dealership and he had the car pulled out and waiting for me. We went on a test-drive. He made me feel extremely comfortable and was not at all pushy nor did he make me at all feel inferior due to my challenged credit. He noted, that they had a finance manager named Dan who specialized in working with customers with not so perfect credit. After submitting my application, I was a bit antsy. Bob took on me an awesome tour of the entire dealership and really made me feel at home. I was super comfortable as he introduced to me many of the different members of their team. Hey no crap, if you purchase a car from them, they have a customer's only rental car company onsite where you can rent a brand new car whenever you needed it! Anyways, all in all Dan came over to us several times just to let me know of the moves he was making on my application. I loved that. After a short bit, Dan came to us and said "Congratulations, you are leaving with your new car." I was floored. This car was a year newer, but was priced less than the the one I just had. I say if you need a new or used car, Richard Chevy is the place to go. NOT just a car dealer, but the service was MORE than amazing. I have purchased 2 vehicles from Richard Chevrolet in the past 6 years. My new vehicle (20K miles) has an error light that indicates steering issue and do not drive vehicle more than 50 miles. I called for service and was told the first availability is 9 days out. Advised by service agent that if I have the vehicle towed in they would look at it sooner - possibly 3-4 days. They then told me that someone would contact me about a loaner vehicle. That was yesterday and still have not been contacted. Called in today after my vehicle was towed to their location and asked about loaner vehicle. Now none are available - but I could rent a vehicle. After being put on hold I was then told that no rental vehicles available until the end of next week. I asked for a return call from the manager I spoke with yesterday regarding a loaner. That was 4 hours ago and still no contact. There is no sense of urgency or prioritization due to the fact the vehicle is not able to be driven. Lack of empathy on the phone comes through loud and clear. As mentioned last 2 vehicles were purchased from Richard Chevrolet. They will be the last vehicles ever purchased from this dealership. The sales representative was extremely helpful and was able to get us into the cars we wanted at prices we could afford. All of the accessories we wanted were available and delivered with the cars. The car was sold as is. I expected some repairs but the clutch went out the third day driving, then it was overheating, now I find out that the head is cracked. The cost of the vehicle purchase will be paid three times over to get it running in repairs. Do not expect a normal amount of trouble and or repairs if you buy a used car from these people. They count on that. Go in expecting to get the equivalent of a purebred pet with a long list of congenital health problems that will bankrupt you at the veterinarian. read more

I have to say this is my favorite dealership ever. Why? Because they employ dedicated sincere sales and service people. I bought a car from Richards with Jeff Dunphy as my salesman. It was a quick sale. I was desperate financially. Jeff got me a cute car and I drove it home that day in the rain. The car stunk like an ashtray and I figured I've been taken one more time. The next day the check engine light came on so I texted Jeff with a picture. He asked me if I could swing by...no!!!, I live an hour away. I knew I had been taken then. No, I was not! Jef arranged for a driver to pick up the car, take it to Richards, not only did the check engine light get looked at, he arranged for a full service to get rid of the smoke smell. My car is now cute and a pleasure to drive with a no sign of cigarette smell. I was at the bottom and Jef Dunphy sold me a great car with payments I can afford. In 2014, I purchased a car from Richard Chevrolet. The car had 84k miles on it, but it was amazing for my growing family. I purchased a 2007 Yukon XL. I hadn't driven such a large vehicle before, so I when I felt a small "slip" when I would accelerate, I attributed it to just being the way the car runs. As I mentioned, it was very small and not very noticeable. I quickly got used to this feeling as if it were normal. Fast forward to 2017 (and well past any warranty I purchased), I was at a stop light, and when I accelerated (and normally might feel that "slip"), I felt like I hit something. All of a sudden the vehicle would not drive while in 3rd or D. It did drive in 1st and 2nd. I did what everyone does, and researched this issue, and as it turns out, this sometimes happens in the Suburbans, Tahoes, and Yukons/XLs. It bothered me that this happens and there was no recall, but in hindsight, I guess the 20 or so people posting in the forums where I was reading complaints were minimal in comparison to the amount of these vehicles that were actually sold. I contacted both Richard Chevrolet and GM about the issue. GM explained that they would make a case number and if there ever was a recall they might reimburse me whatever the cost was to fix it (if I decided to fix it). The cost of a decent transmission alone for this vehicle was almost 1500 dollars, I was not looking forward to the other huge expenses that would come with labor and miscellaneous fees that come with such a huge job. Most estimates were somewhere in the ballpark of 2500-3000 dollars for parts and labor. There were other places that would have even exceeded that range. This is where Jason Seely and the team at Richard Chevrolet came into the picture. With patience and understanding, Jason listened to my story. He agreed that it was a transmission issue and guided me through what it would entail to remove and replace the transmission. While this issue certainly was not the fault of Richard Chevrolet, Mr. Seely felt for me, and understood how much I loved the vehicle. Without prompting, Mr. Seely explained that even if GM would not help, he and the team at Richard Chevrolet would help me. They value me as a customer and wanted to help me in every way that they could. I figured this meant they might give me a discount on labor. I was wrong. The team at Richard Chevrolet, in this instance led by Mr. Seely, offered to remove the old transmission, and replace it with my remanufactured transmission (that I had purchased online) free of charge. I arranged to have the transmission sent to Richard Chevrolet in care of Mr. Seely. He received the transmission and on the same day issued me a loaner car! When the job was done, Mr. Seely called me to come pick it up and expressed some minor maintenance concerns that I was unaware of, it was a great help. He also told me he had contacted the company that sold the transmission and scheduled for them to come and pick up the core from the old transmission. All of this was done at no cost to me, aside from me purchasing the transmission online. I am not sure if we would have fixed this vehicle if it had not been for Richard Chevrolet and Mr. Seely. We may have had to buy a new or used vehicle. You know what I can tell you? I will be buying another car soon. There is no chance that I go anywhere other than Richard Chevrolet. My initial car buying experience was pleasant, but this customer service and appreciation has gained Richard Chevrolet a customer for life. I'll go nowhere else for a vehicle. I bought a 2005 Subaru Outback from the used car department at Richard Chevrolet in April of 2015. Over the past year I've had to replace the ac compressor, the radiator, the drive shaft and several electrical relays, among other minor problems. I suppose this could just be my bad luck and I shouldn't complain -- except for the fact that Richard Chevrolet sold me a car with an open recall to repair corroded brake lines!!! This can only be explained by Richard Chevrolet's used car department's negligence, indifference or sheer clueless stupidity. I was fortunately made aware of the condition by an independent mechanic during an oil change service after which I promptly had the problem corrected. I will most certainly never again do business with Richard Chevrolet. Richard Chevrolet allowed me a scant 30 day warranty on this vehicle which I'm sure they knew was not enough time to evaluate all problems. For instance: AC is generally not in use in April! The rattle about which I complained was not due to the exhaust shield as was claimed. It was eventually discovered to be a faulty drive shaft! read more
