That worked for a couple of weeks and then it started happening again. Then I hired someone else who told me I had roots in my sewer and so I paid to have them snaked. A few months later, they grew back and I had the same problem. I was complaining to a co-worker (as anyone this has happened to knows that it is awful) and he recommended this company and told me about their 2 year guarantee. The price was more expensive than the previous 2 I hired, but I figured I would probably end up paying more with how often I needed it snaked. And I couldn't find any other company to even give a 6 month warranty with snaking. The guy showed up on time - I'm pretty sure he was the owner because he was really excited to tell me about what he was doing. He used some sort of chemical foam and said it's this foam that stops them from growing back and that just a snaking won't do it. And he assured me that his guarantee was legit for 2 years. I have to say it's a relief to know that if they grow back, he will be out here to get rid of them. I just wish I would've known about this before spending money on the first two attempts!

I was traveling for work and my wife had no choice but to use this company because they were the only ones who could come out quickly. Big mistake. The tech diagnosed my indoor blower motor issue during the initial $189 assessment. He then quoted over $5,120 for a simple ECM blower motor replacement -- including separate inflated charges for "motor module/program" ($2,488) and "motor winding/special order" ($2,294). He claimed it needed special ordering and programming at a distribution center. After researching the exact model (Genteq 5SME39SL0674), I discovered these motors are readily available for $500-$800 as pre-programmed drop-in replacements from multiple suppliers. Labor should have been a few hundred dollars at most. This quote was 3-5 times what a fair price should be. I could even justify 3500 max in an emergency type situation. But the $5150 is an egregious amount for what was required. I felt completely taken advantage of, especially since my wife and child were in a bind with no AC. The "non-refundable once programmed" line felt like a classic pressure tactic. The service was completed, but the value was nowhere near what I paid. After tried to repeatedly get some sort of costs justification from the Manager during a call the next day, even being open minded to the HVAC system being described as the "Cadillac" of HVAC (2011 purchased and installed by the way) I received no back-up support and feel that this was just such a scammy way to run a company. Because of the blatant carelessness in working with a customer, I will be pursuing other means If you're looking for honest HVAC work, look elsewhere. Their service techs are also very polite, respectful, knowledgeable and professional. I recently tried to clean my drier duct and got the cleaning brush stuck in the duct and found it difficult to find someone who would remove the duct to clear it. So I called McQuade's and the next morning they had a tech remove the duct and clear it. They also cleaned it. I also found their prices to be reasonable.

They get out to the house quickly if there is any problem or concern. Over the years we've met every employee, I think, and each and every one is an expert, explains everything, and never steers us wrong. Just recently we had to turn on our air conditioning earlier than usual in the season, and they set an appointment quickly so we could have it all checked first. With the yearly Finzel furnace checks and air conditioning shut down for winter, and the air conditioning check for spring/summer, we never have worries. And they don't over-charge!
