The dog was cooked to perfections and there are plenty of chopped grilled onions that go so well with the chipotle mayo. They were very busy but it was well worth the wait. He happened to come across papasotes yelp and after reading the menu we decided to give it a try as it's hard to find a good place that has hot dogs. We order a bit of everything , like a hot dog , tacos a torta and burrito however I was only able to get a picture of the hot dog & wow we were both so satisfied with the taste and the service! Although we didn't finish everything we did take it home so we can enjoy for the next day but highly recommend trying this place out! They did mention to us that their baked potato is the best seller so we want to give that a try next time we go! Only downside I would say is they can take awhile to make the food if they are busy. But if you don't mind waiting while having a drink inside, they bring you the food right to you when it's ready. I have been searching for street tacos here in San Diego. I stumbled upon this place and couldn't be happier. The servers are so sweet and welcoming. The food smells and tastes BOMB. I ordered carne asada, 1 with cheese, and adobada tacos. I devoured them!! They are so flavorful and the prices are pretty decent. Great food! We were visiting San Diego and we decided to go here based on high Yelp reviews. I had the Bujee Papa with carne asada which is a baked potato with carne asada, cheese, sour cream, etc. like nachos, but in a baked potato! It was so tasty!!! My husband had the burrito with adobada(pork). When she asked for rice and beans, we thought she meant on the side, so the burrito came with just meat, so just a heads up. It was still delish! Also, the place is on the sidewalk, but you can eat inside of the brewery they are in front of, which I think was called Beaver Brewery. Very nice set up! read more

Hands down some of the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. Had their chicken burrito with add rice and it was one of - if not the - best chicken burrito I've ever had. It was huge and delicious and the sauces were on point. The service is excellent, it's family run so everyone there works behind the counter / the grill / the floor and they deserve every tip they can get. Pro tip - cork and brew is conjoined to it and they don't open up until 3 but you can always order a beer as Papasotes is open 12pm - 10pm every day. Best carne asada fries I've ever had!!!! I've had a lot of carne asada fries, but these are top tier. Every bite is extremely flavorful and incredible! Originally wanted the bougie baked potato, but they only do it on Fridays and Saturdays. We ordered on a Sunday. But to make up for it, they added bacon to our carne asada fries for free. That's incredible customer service to me. So happy this place is close to us because it will definitely be our new favorite Mexican food spot! read more

I'm going to be so real, the burrito was just okay. I was really hyped reading all the reviews, but there was nothing super special about the burrito. I will say it was super loaded with meat, but I found it to be too salty. I also felt like it was lacking the other stuff, it needed more guacamole and cheese in my opinion. This is a pop up restaurant behind belching Beaver, and it has a few benches to seat as well as a little billiards area. The burritos have a cheese crust similar to Puesto and the Carne Asada is well marinated filled with meat and definitely got me full as a big guy. I definitely will be back. Their welcome was like a warm tortilla hot off the grill, embracing us with kindness and hospitality. I ordered an adobada burrito and it was fantastic; packed with meat, flavorful chipotle sauce, and god the tortilla was perfectly crispy. Legitimately brought my mood up for the rest of the day.
