Chicken enchilada with green sauce was so good. Ate the whole thing.

If anyone knows a better Mexican restaurant in the North Park area I'm all ears. Otherwise, I'd have to say Colimas is my current favorite. Girlfriend got a carne asada burrito. It was almost as good as the chicken enchiladas I got. The lady taking our order up front was super nice and helped me decide what to choose from a pretty overwhelming menu. Her positive energy probably helped push this review from a four to a five.

What an authentic Mexican little place with amazing gigantuan burritos and so delish. We tried the shrimp à la Diablo - which is ok not as savory as I thought by the burritos colimas or combination of steak and shrimp , the tacos so fresh and the amazing combination of all the seasonings and flavors all together make it so delish.

    Super Wet Burrito - YUM!

Food: Excellent, authentic, fresh tortillas and complex salsas. Value: Large portions. Super wet burrito is about $11. Two of us left very satisfied for about $25. Dining in: Free cups of tap water are out of a large white bucket. Cramped, and there were several flies hovering so to-go is a better option. Indoors could use a refresh of paint and such to feel more clean. Outdoor seating also available. Service: Everyone worked well as a team and were very friendly and attentive, clearing and cleaning tables quickly while being slammed with to-go orders. Overall: Recommend for delicious, great value food to go. :)

We always drive by and see Colima's poppin' with the drive thru line that overflows into the Main Street. We finally decided to give em a try during Taco Tuesday. They have $2 street tacos #love so naturally we had to get four carne asadas. This spot has a great menu to choose from. Waiting in the drive thru they have a large menu you can look at before a server takes your order. In addition to the tacos we also got the cali burrito. The food came with four different sauces- two types of red, a guac like salsa, and green. The containers are larger than others, so I'm happy I didn't have to ask for extra like usual. I am shocked they aren't rated 5-stars because the food is quality with fair pricing. SOS shout out to Colima's!!! We are excited to try more tomorrow :) #localtour

We came on our friends high praise & recommendation and we agree. Since it's taco Tuesday we had 5 street tacos: adobadas, carne asada, carnitas and pollo asada. All delicious, meats were well seasoned & crispy edges. Tacos were loaded with meat. The salsa bar had a huge selection. You had to wait for your drinks, no self service. Tables were clean. Service pleasant & fast. Food came out quickly pipping hot. I'm coming back for the other menu items.

My partner and I came go Colima's on Christmas to enjoy some breakfast burritos! I am grateful for them working on a holiday, and their service was efficient. The space has a parking lot and lots of seating. There are TVs around where we watched the NBA game. We got our breakfast burritos after a few minutes of waiting, and they were overall fine. I felt the egg was a little dry, and used the salsa bar to help compensate. It needed more salt, but the size to price ratio was good. I want to see if their regular burritos were better!

We will be coming back to San Diego just for this place!!!! Amazing portion sizes and all the food was so good. The workers were very friendly and offered their honest opinion on the items. We were so hungry and finally found a nearby place to eat- didn't have high hopes or expectations for the area but again I will be coming back to San Diego and to this place specifically for this food We ordered the taco salad, which was full of flavor and the chicken alone was so good and as well, we ordered the Birria plus side of rice and beans. They have a salsa section with onions and peppers which was a really nice surprise. Can't wait to come back thank you so much to everyone who helped us

Man have I been sleeping on Colima's. First visit was morning of New Year's Eve. The night before I was craving a burrito, but I was in La Jolla until the wee hours. Woke up with a hankering but didn't want to get dressed and remembered they had a drive-thru. Threw on a robe, loaded up my dog and off to Colima's. The drive-thru line was already packed into University. The friendly staff walked up to me with her iPad and took my order: 1 California Burrito please! Within minutes, she had it ready and delivered to my car before I reached the end. It was oh so good and hit the spot. Generous amounts of carne asada, fries, quac, sour cream, pico de gallo and cheese. Great value for portion too. Fast forward, I woke up from a late nap and was starving. Hit repeat (robe, dog, etc) but this time we got a San Diego Burrito + rice, Taco Tuesdays: 2 Carnitas, 2 Carne Asada. I liked how the tortilla is thin a toasted. Tasted just as good as I shoved it in my face. This is now our once a month burrito/taco joint. Gracias Colima's keep doing it right!

    Burnt carne asada fries ever

Worst carne asada fries ever! Old, overcooked, the meat was in big chunks, not even cut up bite size.

The food was really good, one of the best spots for burritos in north park. Quick drive thru as well.

    Carne asada fries with bacon

Came on a busy night, overall I was satisfied. Got the carne asasa fries, everything tasted fine and was cooked well. The ingredients taste fresh and there was no weird oil flavor on the fries. Also I'm 100% sober.

You know, Yelpers, I never get tired of Colimas. We all know that there are literally thousands of great and wonderful Mexican restaurants here in San Diego, but this is the only one that has pre-COVID price points: 2 Cheese Enchiladas $8.95, steak fajitas $16.00, tacos $3.25, Chimijunca $9.95, get the idea? and still extremely delicious. Go see 4 ur self I promise you won't be sorry. And like I said, absolutely delicious, you can't go wrong. Great parking, friendly staff, drive-thru service, and a most friendly staff.

Came and got the hashbrown breakfast burrito; it came with bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, egg, cheese and sour cream. I liked that it came with both sausage and bacon, the hashbrowns added a different texture than fries or breakfast potatoes, more crunchy than both options though I wish it was even more crunchy. There's a salsa bar with a good selection. You order as you enter at what looks kind of like a hostess stand. There are a handful seats inside but also a drive thru. They are located next to Olympic Cafe and share the same parking lot but be sure to check the stall as they are designated to each restaurant. They have a taco Tuesday special $2 each which I'll be back to try.

Yes, however I was able to verify it was legitimate. Basically, we got free food. So now they are trying to reconcile and get "caught up" with the charges that never actually hit our cards/accounts. I compared Google maps timeline, to my bank…

I picked a place off Google but when we landed there we were not comfortable stopping to park, so we looked again and decided to check out La Puerta not realizing it was in the Gaslight District. I am not a fan of the Gaslight District, which is why I am so mad!! I'm going to HAVE to go back to the Gaslight District!! The food was AMAZING!! I HIGHLY recommend the Potato Flautitas. It's the kind of dish I'm going to dream about, I'm salivating now just thinking about them. I also did the Pick 3 Street Tacos (and actually ordered a 4th). The Ranchero Shrimp and Grilled Veggie were top notch. The Conchinita was recommended by our waiter, and it was interesting, tasty but different. It could have used a little more pickled onion. The only one I would not recommend (shockingly, I thought it would be the easy pass) was the carne asada. It was too greasy. My husband ordered a carne asada quesadilla and said the same, it was too wet and soaked through the tortilla. But there were no many other delightful options, I would say just don't go traditional. But honestly my favorite thing on the plate was the side dish rajas con crema, seriously, that alone is going to drag me down to the Gaslight District. I'm even considering going to a Padres game just for the excuse. I'm salivating again! As for our waiter, Colin, he was fantastic. Very informative, made great suggestions and seemed genuinely pleased by our satisfaction. He was smiling the whole time, friendly and stayed very present. I highly recommend you get yourself through the door at La Puerta and sit down for a meal ASAP. (We ate the food so fast I forgot to take pictures.)
