I do think the food is better than that of most coffee shops, but I don't actually eat the food often. I've found the service to be good and for the staff to be friendly, but they only have one register, so the line may be a bit long if they are busy. It can be a bit loud, it it's a pleasant place to sit and drink coffee. The Well will normally have three pour over choices that are from their limited time offered beans. They see very fruity and flavorful, and I really enjoy that kind of coffee. They make them right where you can see them do it, and It's fun to watch the process. I've often come to try the pour over only to later buy a bag of beans for home. When you do, you get a free 12 ounce drip coffee. However, to be honest, the drip offerings seem rather mediocre to me. I would not go there to buy the batch drip coffee. I do know they have a good cappuccino, though. I debated lowering the rating when I thought about their main medium roast blend on drip - Confluence. They had a blend of Ethiopian and Kenyan beans, and it was some of the best coffee I ever had. Now, they've rotated to a blend of beans from Ethiopia and New Guinea. I bought a bag thinking it would be similar to what I had before, but it just wasn't anywhere near as good, unless you brew it as espresso. However, it's really the pour over that I drink here, so I'm keeping the eating at five stars.

The space is clean and ascetically pleasing. Visited yesterday (Monday) around 9:15am and I was the second person in line. By the time I sat down, the line was out the door. If I'm in a hurry, I place my order online for pickup which is fast & efficient. The coffee is some of the best in town. I typically get my latte half sweet which is perfect and not overwhelming. They have pastries from Dozen Bakery which are fresh and very good. I haven't tried their food yet. Parking is easy, it's in a strip mall, with plenty of stores and other restaurants nearby. The Perch is a smaller spot with both indoor and outdoor seating, first come first served; guests order and pay at the counter, then are given a number, and food/drinks are brought to your table. Prices are not cheap, but the food and drinks are reasonable and reliable. This spot is a gem, and you never know who you'll see here. Also, I love that they do punch cards (buy 10 coffees and get 1 free, if I'm not mistaken) - even though I usually forget to bring my existing card and keep starting a new one.

The ginger lemon tea: I asked several times does it have caffeine in it. One employee said no and the other said check the menus. Upon checking the menu, it did not say. They still could not provide me with an answer as to if it had caffeine. After making my tea and pastry I waited an additional ten minutes for my matcha, the person making it was socializing, checking out a new item for their bathroom and leisurely making my matcha. After about 8 minutes he finally looked at me and asked was I waiting for something. Matcha: the matcha was not great, it had a cleaning solution taste to it. That's pretty much all I can say. Coffee cake: the coffee cake was good but it didn't say anything about having a filling in it. And it was filled with some brown filling. And I'm not a fan of fillings in pastries.
