It's been a while since our last visit and I'm pleased to say Papi's still sets the bar high. Our group of 8 was promptly greeted and seated. I started with a frozen margarita. A healthy pour and one was all I could safely handle. It would appear I'm a lightweight. Except when I stand on a scale. My wife ordered a shrimp taco salad. The typical "base" for a salad and topped with large, perfectly grilled shrimp. I went with pollo loko. A grilled, butterflied chicken breast, covered with sautéed onions, peppers and squash; then smothered with a light cheese sauce. The portions were ample with leftovers for take home. It's nice to know some things never change. Papi's still delivers. read more

We love Papi's! Although the restaurant is on the smaller side, don't let it deter you. It's nicely decorated inside with carefully placed seating. The complimentary chips with ranch or salsa are so good! (Ranch is my favorite of anywhere!) The margaritas are so good and plentiful! You can order them to go as well! We have always had excellent service. My favorite dinner item there are the chicken fajitas. Definitely give it a go!! read more

We enjoy going to new places to try their food and Papi's looked like a good place to go for lunch. This is a very small location tucked into the rear of a small shopping area in the heart of Crestwood. Looks small from the outside , but once inside there was plenty of seating. It also had a full service bar. We were seated right away and our server brought us some chips and salsa, then took our drink order. I was glad to see the served Blue Moon in a bottle. We both decided on the Fajita's, I got the shrimp and my wife the chicken. They were both served with hot tortillas, and a plate of refried beans, rice, guacamole, sour cream lettuce and pico. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional. Can't wait to go back again. read more

I go to Papi's at least once a week. They have the best tacos around and all the other dishes are excellent as well. I usually go by myself and sit at the bar and have been for probably 1-1/2 years. Problem and reason for 3 stars is the service sitting at the bar is terrible and always has been. They never ask me what I would like so I have to flag someone and let them know I would like a drink, or a menu, or silverware, or napkins, food, etc. It's like whoever is behind the bar has never been instructed to serve the people sitting at the bar. The guy that brings the chips and salsa is always quick to bring that out though. Service at the tables is generally good but I rarely sit there. Finally tonight I told them their service sucked, I hope they heard me. Otherwise I'll start going to Gustavo's or Fiesta Time. read more

Birria tacos! Authentic and so delicious! I've been here a dozen times and always had good food, but this dish is some of the best and authentic Mexican food I've ever had. The beef is fresh and great quality, pulled beef like from a roast. The cheese is in the right proportion to the meat. The amount of cilantro and red onion is perfect. Great new spot! Excellent service, good drinks, big portions and tasty food. They gave us some chips and salsa along with what I believe is a chipotle ranch and it's delicious! They have a very clean and trendy facility, with cute tiling and lots of TVs in the bar area. They also have a couple spots where you can take some social media pictures, with a nice green background and cute neon signs- I just didn't get the chance to do so on my visit, but will need to on my next visit. My husband and I just had dinner for the first time at Papi's. The food was amazing ! I had the chicken fajita chimichanga, it was so flavorful! My husband had the chicken burrito and enjoyed it too. Just wanted to let everybody know about a great new local restaurant in Crestwood called PaPi's. It's in Pleasant colony right by the CVS. Wife made dinner plans there last night and we were pleasantly surprised. Our bill was only $39 and that's with a Swirl margarita. Wife got the Pork Carnitas that was really tender. I got the Burrito Delmar and the shrimp was nicely sized and so tender. The portions were gigantic. You could easily get two meals, possibly three meals out of each order. Almost forgot they've got my favorite ranch jalapeño dip . They've done such a great job remodeling that place. We will definitely be going back. read more

We went on a Monday night and there were only a few tables in the restaurant. When we sat down, we were immediately met with fresh tortilla chips, salsa, and a creamy jalapeño dip. Neither the salsa nor dip were spicy but they were good. Would love to see HOT salsa available! I ordered the fajita chimichanga with steak. It was really good! The steak was tender, pico was absolutely fresh! It comes with rice and beans and you can tell the rice is super fresh. The portion size is huge! So plenty left for lunch the next day. This small but mighty Mexican Style Restaurant features a wide variety of food and with daily specials and a full service bar. The decor is well lit and nicely decorated. Super cute in my opinion. My husband and I shared fajitas for one. Very reasonably priced with generous portion size. Hot and delicious. Hubbys beer was the coldest beer he's ever had. He was quite impressed. My homemade sangria with blackberry on top was tasty and beautiful as well. The bathrooms were clean. Witnessed them being cleaned at the end of the night and floors being swept. Very impressive. Food is pretty typical for what you would expect from a mexican chain and the price is probably slightly better than them. Sometimes I just need a decent fajita and they will give that to you. Are there fancier and better mexican restaurants downtown? Probably. But if you are in the area then I think it does a fine job at delivering what people expect. read more

Sit at the bar, a comfy booth or a table, plenty of room. Chips and Salsas brought out, ordered a 23oz Pacifico and Birria Tacos with one a la carte Tamale! Salsa was good, chips fresh, Birria Taco and consomme exceptional! The Tamale came with a couple sauces topping it off and it was just as good. All dishes are $11.99 - $13.99 with sides and a la carta items er reasonable priced. I did place a "to go" order of Pollo Veracruz, grilled chicken, shrimp and crabmeat with side of rice and grilled veggies, my wife LOVED this dish! We will be going back next time to dine in together, sample a few of their appetizers, margaritas and enjoy the atmosphere as well as the food! read more

I went with a group of friends about two weeks ago for lunch and it was amazing. Today my brother-in-law and myself decided to go have dinner there because it was so good. unfortunately, that was not the case today we sat there with our drinks chips for a good hour watching everybody who came in after get their orders taken and receive their good while our waiter had ignored us and only asked us if we wanted to drink when the table next to us finished their meal we were able to finally order. after about an hour or so of waiting, I decided to just leave and that's when the waiter came by and brought us our cold tacos, our cold beans, and our cold rice and a tortilla that had not even been warmed up. It looked like it was pulled out of a tortilla bag and our cold meat was thrown into it. just being nice I paid for the meal and I was too pissed off and too ready to go to spend the time to complain even though when I mentioned something to the waiter, he acted like he didn't understand English, which pissed me off even more. that being said 50% of the time this place got it wrong I will never be back. I can get crappy Mexican food at Taco Bell for a lot cheaper. read more
