It's been a while since our last visit and I'm pleased to say Papi's still sets the bar high. Our group of 8 was promptly greeted and seated. I started with a frozen margarita. A healthy pour and one was all I could safely handle. It would appear I'm a lightweight. Except when I stand on a scale. My wife ordered a shrimp taco salad. The typical "base" for a salad and topped with large, perfectly grilled shrimp. I went with pollo loko. A grilled, butterflied chicken breast, covered with sautéed onions, peppers and squash; then smothered with a light cheese sauce. The portions were ample with leftovers for take home. It's nice to know some things never change. Papi's still delivers.

We came in with a party of 17 on a Sunday night and right away they made room for us! Everyone enjoyed their food - and the service was great!

We love Papi's! Although the restaurant is on the smaller side, don't let it deter you. It's nicely decorated inside with carefully placed seating. The complimentary chips with ranch or salsa are so good! (Ranch is my favorite of anywhere!) The margaritas are so good and plentiful! You can order them to go as well! We have always had excellent service. My favorite dinner item there are the chicken fajitas. Definitely give it a go!!

I came because of the many positive reviews. The service was sub par. None of the food was seasoned with anything. I ordered a mango margarita and it was literally a lime margarita with mango juice floating on top which was disgusting. I won't return.

Service was excellent, food came out hot and the beans were tasty. The crema dip that came out with the chips was delicious also. House margaritas on the rocks were good too. Solid experience and good food. Would visit again!

We enjoy going to new places to try their food and Papi's looked like a good place to go for lunch. This is a very small location tucked into the rear of a small shopping area in the heart of Crestwood. Looks small from the outside , but once inside there was plenty of seating. It also had a full service bar. We were seated right away and our server brought us some chips and salsa, then took our drink order. I was glad to see the served Blue Moon in a bottle. We both decided on the Fajita's, I got the shrimp and my wife the chicken. They were both served with hot tortillas, and a plate of refried beans, rice, guacamole, sour cream lettuce and pico. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional. Can't wait to go back again.

Mummies shrimp. It's out of this world good.

Cute little restaurant. Fast service. Attentive staff. Nice portion size. Food came out hot and freshly made. Salsa was fresh, on spicy side but so good! Would def come back. Only con was they just give you one bowl of salsa to share with the table. Since it was me & my son it was okay but it's just more sanitary for each person to have a bowl.

We picked up a queso Fundido and it was rock solid, same consistency as the picture attached. We went back to get one remade and it turned out exactly the same as the first one. It's extremely inedible.

We love the tacos carne asada (so good with corn tortillas) and the pollo con arroz (it's huge)

Excellent service , excellent food , very cute decor. Restaurant is small - but we were seated right away. Mummy shrimp was good. Bourbon Margarita stole the show! Highly recommend!!!

    Birria Tacos

Very impressed with our first experience at Papi's and definitely will return. Incredible chips, salsa, drinks, tacos and entrees. We had Burris Tacos, Pollo de Papis and a la Carte burrito and each were excellent as was the service (and house margarita). Recommend!

Great people, great food and service. Drinks are great. Bathrooms are clean. Not perfect English, but hey, it's a Mexican restaurant.

Also the same goes for the buffalo chicken dip, I feel the plain Tostito rounds just weren't it and should have been restaurant style tortilla chips. My favorite thing was the bar setup and the close proximity to have some good bar conversations for sure. I'd be willing to try some other things here though if ever given the chance to go back.

Train tracks run down the middle of Main Street and while we watched a train through the window while waiting on our meal. In addition to a bar area, there are multiple rooms with seating. The ambiance is cozy and nostalgic, and it feels as though you are sharing a drink and meal in someone's home. There is also an outdoor patio with seating. The menu has a variety of options, mostly higher-end bar-type dishes. I had the cheeseburger salad and it was huge and delicious. Our table shared appetizers (stuffed mushrooms and goat-cheese/artichoke dip with chips) and they were both great too, especially the goat-cheese/artichoke dip! This will definitely be where I get a meal when I visit La Grange. Parking is available in a lot behind the restaurant and street side in the walkable neighborhood.

LeeAnn was hands down one of the funniest servers I've ever had. She kept us laughing the whole time and made the experience even better. The cocktail menu features several cocktail specialties, a deep wine and bourbon menu, some other spirits, and a variety of primarily KY brewed beers. I had a couple of the latter options, and each of my two beers (neither of which I'd had before, a "Stone House" traditional lager and a "Kentucky Commons" low ABV cream ale). Our table split a couple of appetizers--the chili wantons and the spinach dip. Both were good with the slight edge to the wantons as they were fairly unique and very flavorful. The menu is not overwhelming--there are just over a dozen or so primary entree options but each looked very promising. I ended up going with the special, which that night was sea bass on jasmine rice with tomatoes. The sea bass was parmesan encrusted and super flavorful, literally every bite of my meal was on point. Great sauce that wasn't overwhelming, the fish and rice perfectly cooked, the little cherry tomatoes the best I've had all season. My wife had the fish tacos and loved them as well. Service was friendly. For the quality and ingredients, prices were fair. I'd say the drinks are even cheap. Dessert looked great, but none of us had room to try any. It was a rainy night and we were in the basement area, which is covered but doesn't have full enclosure, so it was loud as the rain hit the side covering, but dry and nice overall. We noticed two of the bar areas were empty on our way out, which looked like nice quiet places to meet. There's also the full upstairs dining room which looked nice. Reservations highly recommended.
