After a girl's nail day, I decided to check out this Mexican Restaurant. It's snug as a bug in the shopping plaza by Planet Fitness in Shelbyville. Shelbyville has a multitude of Mexican restaurants and I honestly didn't have high hopes. It was fantastic!!!! Mi Casita has THE best chips & salsa!!! Seriously, THE best. I ate the whole basket. They were fresh, crispy and delicious. Mi Casita has an extensive menu with unique items you can't find in this area. The environment was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly, quick and super nice. I ordered a margarita on the rocks, so refreshing. They have a lunch and dinner menu. My food was amazing!!! Fajita Quesadilla didn't disappoint. I enjoyed every bite! Give it a shot, you'll be glad ya stopped in.

    Great outdoor covered patio

We eat Mexican 1-3X a week at different places so wanted to wait until we had eaten here a few time before writing a review. This place is by far our favorite ever. The staff is super friendly, margaritas are delicious and usually we get a 22 oz for $6.50. Worth every penny for the drink and food. The food is great and they have dishes not offered at any other place we have visited. We live @40 minutes away and have no issue driving here. The only snag we have ever had is a small language barrier that only occurred once and we take all the blame on that one time. It is authentic and well worth the trip.

First time ordering online and having it delivered.I don't think we will try that again. My wife's order was chicken burrito with rice and beans it was missing the rice me beans. While I went with the steak fajitas it was missing all my sides that comes with it. We also decided to try their caso and churros. We will have to try this in person to see if it's better being inside.

Love this place. Great service and great staff. Covered patio to bring your pet and they'll accommodate a kids menu for whatever you need.

Lunch service was quick and food was all very good. Offers a good variety and keeps the chips and drink coming. Great place.

The rotisserie chicken with collard greens and wedges is my go to every time! Though I have tried the tenders, the sandwiches and few more items. I just can't get enough of the cheddar biscuits, and wedges paired with the jalapeño ranch. Everything is made fresh and delicious! With fast service and a relaxing interior. Not to mention they have a small bar as well with a daily happy hour!

Waldo's Chicken & Beer isn't just another chicken place (which is why I honestly hadn't bothered visiting). They have AMAZING sides and desserts. I was wrong for thinking oh another chicken tender place big whoop.... We chose the cheddar biscuit basket with honey butter, chicken tender basket & the chicken tender sandwich. The chicken was fried perfectly. Crisp but not too greasy. The buffalo dipping sauce is perfectly spiced and just the right amount of pucker. I could dip just bread in it. It's so good. The coleslaw is divine. Sweet and tangy with the perfect ratio of vinegar to sugar. It reminds me of my Momma's. Comes with fries and Texas toast. Yum!! My daughter had the tender sandwich and she loved it. I didn't try the sandwich but I did try the mac-n-cheese and it was very flavorful. The cheddar biscuits were so-so; but, I'm a loyal Red Lobster cheddar biscuit snob. These were really sweet. They did have banana pudding on the menu that I will definitely try again next time. Portion sizes are big so you can eat on it twice. Welcome to Shelbyville Waldo's. We will be back!

Also the same goes for the buffalo chicken dip, I feel the plain Tostito rounds just weren't it and should have been restaurant style tortilla chips. My favorite thing was the bar setup and the close proximity to have some good bar conversations for sure. I'd be willing to try some other things here though if ever given the chance to go back.

Train tracks run down the middle of Main Street and while we watched a train through the window while waiting on our meal. In addition to a bar area, there are multiple rooms with seating. The ambiance is cozy and nostalgic, and it feels as though you are sharing a drink and meal in someone's home. There is also an outdoor patio with seating. The menu has a variety of options, mostly higher-end bar-type dishes. I had the cheeseburger salad and it was huge and delicious. Our table shared appetizers (stuffed mushrooms and goat-cheese/artichoke dip with chips) and they were both great too, especially the goat-cheese/artichoke dip! This will definitely be where I get a meal when I visit La Grange. Parking is available in a lot behind the restaurant and street side in the walkable neighborhood.

First, when I arrived at the University of Louisville Golf Club it wasn't apparent where I would park. When I go to my club Hobson (my manservant) usually drops me at the door and parks the Rolls Royce in Livery Parking before going to the lounge reserved for domestic staff. This club had none of that and since it was Hobson's day off (an arcane concept to be sure) I drove myself. Dylan was in a similar situation with Chauncey. So, not only was I confused as to where to park I also did things like opened the door for myself. This was totally outside my experience, I felt like I was at McDonalds or Cracker Barrel. Then the cocktail hour, which was its own farce. The cheese on the charcuterie wasn't labeled causing confusion for one of our managers, Terry, who was completely unused to cheese that didn't come individually wrapped. I am a cheese enthusiast so I would have enjoyed knowing where they found cheese that came in tiny squares as this was new to me. I like to know what I'm eating. I went to the bar and not only didn't have they what I wanted they seemed mystified by my second, third, and fourth choices. The food we were served was not only terrible but unrecognizable and a subject of debate at work today. The cheese used on the salad followed the charcuterie's 'anything goes' philosophy but the greens were also wilted and sad looking themselves. I thought our entrée was the worst, most fatty pot roast I had ever been served and but Robin insists it was short ribs. The vegetables were partially steamed and partially raw giving you that mushy-crunchy mix that is apparently the new "sweet and salty." Salty indeed, whenever someone at our table would ask someone working there a question you would think by their reaction we propositioned them for something tawdry. The service was so bad I wanted to offer to lend them Hobson on his next day off to learn the proper care and feeding of the one percent. What if I had brought Angela Merkle as my plus one - as I often do? The lavatory was its own adventure. First, we had to traverse the men's locker room (which was nicely appointed) and while we were lucky in that it was devoid of the standard-issue octogenarians conversing in the nude like some sort of Spartan Army reunion it was also lacking in attendants! There was no man standing with a towel after I washed my hands, nor a selection of soaps and colognes that would have normally been in the lavatory of my own university club. Hobson hasn't powdered my derriere since the Bush administration and luckily I only voided my bladder but what if I had needed assistance? Sure, Dylan was there but he was in the same boat without Chauncey. If you're not picky about what you eat, how you're served, and you happen to be on the wrong side of the Gene Snyder expressway this might be the kind of place you'd like. I will stick to my university club, it suits my lifestyle better.
