Bahahahahahahaa seriously? Don't go. There were 3 tables w/ patrons and 3 people at the bar. 2 servers, for 10 people. No host. I have no idea how you get a table, I sat at the bar. I ordered fajitas, they were served without tortillas. Or silverware. Riddle me that. I couldn't find a server to ask about acquiring a fork/knife, I'd have settled for a spoon. Or chopsticks, something, anything, please? I walked around looking for help. Nada. And waited 7 minutes, before I started my search and discover mission. Yeah I started timing it. I'm that watch wearing koala. I literally had to walk behind the bar, to get a silverware set. That has to be a health code violation, marsupials behind the bar. Nobody even raised an eyebrow. Food wasn't terrible. Service was bar none brutal. Awful. They need robots. They need children, they'll take anyone w/ a sense of urgency and plan. They have 2 for 1 beers. 8 taps. I tried to order Pacifico, out. Dos XX - out. Every other beer - out. They had Bud Light and Blue Moon. I purchased (to go) an order of Papitos Dip. Went in to pay and pick up my order. The price was $13.33. I have never paid that much so thought maybe it would be a larger container (no, I didn't check it before I left with the order). Got home and opened the container and it was only half full. Spoke to the manager. She refused to give my money back and advised that the bowl was not supposed to be full. For $13.33, yes the bowl should have been close to full. I usually eat at another Papitos and they only charge $9 and you get enough for 3 or 4 people to eat. Bad business Ridgeland Papitos. read more

Terrible experience. There were only a few patrons in the restaurant To start, when we asked for menus, our server said he would get them when he could. When we finally got menus, he said the food takes a while. We put in an order for a kids cheese quesadilla for the child with us while we waited to order. 20 minutes later, they came to take our order and handed us the quesadilla. We said we would like to pay for the kids cheese quesadilla and leave. He said $12 should take care of that. We asked to see the price on the receipt and it was $5. read more

This place is converted from a precision Greek restaurant. The service is good and quick and that is where it stops . They have a margaritas list and serve them in 4 sizes. The smaller ones are served in frozen beer mugs and are really hard to drink. The food is awful . It has no taste and just bland. I have been there twice thinking the first time was what I ordered but that is not the case . Both times was the same with different diahes. The soft tacos don't seem to be fresh. Took my family here and the sweet tea was WAY to sweet so they changed it out for sprite that didn't taste right either. Then they mess up my wife's order and tried to manipulate it like it was her fault and tried telling her a tostada and chalupa is the same thing. Everything on my plate was ok EXCEPT the tamale it was the absolute worst tamale I ever had. Tried telling them the sauce tasted spoiled but they wanted to look at me crazy like I don't know what a tamale is supposed to taste like. When I'm part Hispanic, and from Houston Texas and have had plenty of Mexican food in my life. They didn't offer to do anything about any of it. One of the worst dining experiences I've ever experienced. We sat for 20-30 minutes without napkins or menus. Then when we finally got menus and were ready to order, we didn't see our waiter again for another 20 minutes. And at this point we were pretty much the only people there so it wasn't as if they were really busy. Ended up having two waiters take our orders, one of which didn't write them down and completely forgot my meal. After everyone else's meal arrived I had to ask again for mine. The food did arrive quickly and tasted fairly good. The queso was great - the salsa was terrible. Then after waiting another 30 minutes after we'd finished eating to pay, the waiter put $17 fajitas on my ticket when I had a $3 burrito and $8 chicken and rice plate. I was so ready to go I just paid it. I will 100% never visit this restaurant again but would highly recommend the Papitos at Dogwood. read more

They got me once, but never again. Went in with my wife and two grandchildren, ages 6 and 12. Going to get a lite meal for the 4 of us. My wife and I ordered quesadillas 6.99 ea. She also ordered a side of refried beans and asked them to put the sour cream on the side. I ordered a 6.99 quesadilla only. One child ordered a kid's happy plate, and the other the kid's burrito. We all ordered sodas, and the kids were kids' size. We also ordered small queso. When I got the bill, I was shocked that it was $65.25. They added extra for sour cream that was supposed to come with the quesadilla. They charged extra for the tortillas that came with the happy meal. They charged extra for putting queso on the child's burrito, which was supposed to include that. They charged $9.99 for the queso that was supposed to be small. They charged $3 for each drink, including the kid's size. They charged $2.49 extra for refried beans on the side. They charged extra for the sour cream, which was supposed to be included with the quesadilla. The kids happy plate was $10.99. Bottom line, I will never return to this place. This is the first time I have written a negative review about a restaurant, but I thought others should know what to expect if they go. read more

No star rating given here! Never again will I ever visit this Papitos on Lake Harbor Road! Poor customer service and horrible management. These people charged me incorrectly not once but twice then obligated me to pay the 18% tip charge, $16.00 for a $13.25 meal, how is this possible. Trust me the issue is not about the tip, the principal is the manager did not correct the ticket which took over 45mins of my time but called the police!! Once the police arrived now all of a sudden the ticket has been corrected. So if you are looking for a nice restaurant to enjoy a Mexican meal do not stop here keep going there are far better businesses that can serve, be respectful, and honest with their guest!!! I visited Papitos with my daughters during lunch hour on 5/30/18. I placed my order at 2:51. The waitress did not show up until 3:27. The fajitas which normally comes out in a sizzling skillet were cold to the touch. I asked for a manager and told him that my food was cold. He said mam I just cooked it. I laid my bare hand on the food to show him that it wasn't freshly cooked. He picked up one of the shrimp with his bare hands and walked off and said you are still paying for it. I told him not with you touching it. He called the police because I refused to pay for food that he touched with his bare hands. Let me make sure that I say that this is the Papitos on Lake Harbour. The waitress which is a black lady began saying I'm too old for this, I'm 34. I drive a Jaguar that's paid for. What's wrong with you bitches is, I see you have a Hinds County plate and you're out here in Ridgeland when you should be in Hinds County eating. I tried explaining that it wasn't them where the issue was coming from, it was the attitude of the waitress that they had waiting on us, because I could have easily just asked them to warm the from prior to him touching it. The problem is, I never refused to pay, the owner had my credit card in his hand while he was on the phone with the police telling them that I may possibly try to leave without paying. I have never been so humiliated in my entire life. Now I am beginning to understand the negativity and even the officers told me to complain to corporate because that do it often to their customers. read more
