Summary: 5/5 When I first saw the reviews of this restaurant, I was scared. It was opening day and there was not a single five-star review but alas I was hungry. My wise friend recommended we stop here to parch our thirst and fill our stomachs. We entered the restaurant with trepidation but ultimately we were very surprised. The ambiance of the restaurant was something I would have never expected from a place like Jackson, Mississippi. Moreover the drinks were perfect. I got a mango nada. My fellow travelers got skinny margaritas and even a man who broke his sobriety of a few weeks got a pina colada. He remarked it was well worth it. With regards to the food we tried the quesadilla tacos. Amazing! I'm Hispanic and these were great. That's saying a lot from a random place in Jackson, Miss. All in all I think it's definitely worth a try. If you're nervous get the quesadilla tacos, get the mango nada cocktail, and transport yourself to Mexico. Service also great read more

Good clean restaurant, surprised to see Sushi and Italian dishes at a Mexican restaurant, young lady serving us made number of mistakes with my order including ground beef Fajita instead of steak Fajita, I guess there is always first time to try a new dish. Management needs to train serving staff better. read more

We stayed a hotel near hear, driving from out of state & this place was great!! Delicious birria ramen and the tacos looked delicious also! A lot of people in the restaurant were getting the margarita flights so they must be good also! Next time we pass by on our drive to Destin we will definitely come here again! read more

My review was removed from google! OMG, where do I even start? I hate that I even have to write this review, but it needs to be said, & I'm having to write this review from his account bc i left a good review 4/9/26 SMH. On April 23rd around 6:30 p.m., my boyfriend, my brother, and I went to Pedro's. This was about our fifth time visiting as a family, & I've come more times on my own, so we're definitely regular customers. We ordered food and drinks like we normally do, and I also brought a check for comp meal given to me   from a previous visit on April 9th. During our April 9th visit, our food was never made because the kitchen said it was closed after the ticket apparently failed to print. However, my boyfriend's card was still charged. Our waiter, Roberto, handled the situation professionally and gave us two options: wait 7-10 business days for a void/refund, or come back another day to receive the meal we already paid for. We chose to come back another time, as we frequent the restaurant anyways. We were given the receipt with the total circled and "Sergio" written on it in red, and told to simply bring it back on our next visit and the meal would be comped with no issues. Fast forward to April 23rd. First off, the shrimp in my fajitas was HORRIBLE. I've ordered the same dish multiple times before and it has never looked or tasted like that. When I brought it to their attention, they didn't want to remake it and kept making excuses, saying "that's just how it comes." No sir, I've been here several times and know exactly how it normally looks. (Check the pictures/videos posted.) Eventually, Sergio, who I believe is the manager, came over and immediately had an attitude. He clearly did not want to honor the receipt we were told to bring back. He acted like we were trying to scam them out of $24, even though the receipt literally had the total circled with his name written on it. We spend anywhere from $140-$200 every time we come there, so the attitude over something THEY owed us was honestly insulting. What made it worse was hearing our waiter, Axel, explain to Sergio in Spanish that the check had supposedly already been voided and implying that we were lying. I understood exactly what was being said. Sergio then walked away, came back, and very reluctantly said he would "do it this one time," as if he were doing us some huge favor instead of honoring something we already paid for. He even started talking about reprimanding Roberto in front of us, which was completely unprofessional because Roberto was the ONLY person who handled the original situation correctly and respectfully. The entire experience made us feel embarrassed, disrespected, and honestly looked at like we were some kind of scammers or "thugs" over $24. No customer should ever be made to feel that way... not over $24, not even over $1. To make things even more frustrating, they eventually DID remake the shrimp, and surprise surprise... it came out looking much better than the first plate. So clearly there WAS an issue with the original food. I've honestly never been treated this poorly at a restaurant before. Pedro's, please do better. Treat your customers with more respect, especially your loyal ones. read more

We visited Pedro's on Saturday night. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, however the flies were a major nuisance. The prices are reasonable, however, a bowl of queso costs $11.99(only 1 size). We both ordered a small Mangonada, couldn't taste the alcohol. I wouldn't recommend this drink. We ordered the Mexican corn as our app...it was not good, severely undercooked...tasted nearly raw. Our Entrees were the Chicken and shrimp fajita & the steak fajita. The chicken & shrimp were perfectly cooked, however the steak was very tough & chew. The Mexican rice was very dry & lacked flavor. I would not recommend the steak fajita!! The worst part of our visit was when we received the check. The ticket we received totaled $104.38, however, when I handed the server my card, I noticed my total had increased to $124.38. The server put in her own tip amount WITHOUT MY APPROVAL‼‼ I quickly noticed the increased amount & changed the amount of the tip & the total before I signed the check. Been here twice now. Both times ordered the same thing (queso, a drink, and a chicken quesadilla). The first time it took a while to get my items but the server was fantastic. This 2nd time though has put me off. Our server took away the bottle of water at the table so we had to wait for our waiter to refill. My quesadilla was wet in the bottom instead of crispy. And then the cherry on top was that when I asked for napkins, the server pointed at my cloth napkin. I clarified that I wanted paper napkins, and he said he could only give me 2 or 3. When I came the first time, we were given a stack of paper napkins with our food so this does not make any sense. When my husband went to the restroom, he said that servers were standing in front of the door and would not move out of his way. This place is OVERPRICED. There is no need to have such a fancy mexican restaurant in Clinton MS. There are 5 other mexican restaurants here. I personally will never choose to come here for fancy events when there are other options like steakhouses or italian. INSANELY good food. i've been there twice, and both times i've been seriously impressed. the first time i got a chicken and cheese quesadilla (just wanted to see how their food was) and it was honestly fantastic. the thing that made me come back was the choriqueso dip. they bring it in the same dish they'd use for fajitas, it literally comes out SIZZLING. it's got a good flavor, and their salsa is good too. they bring you these fancy little mason jars with water and it makes the whole thing feel so elevated. the real special dish that i'm honestly blown away by is the sushi. i know, sushi at a tex-mex restaurant? i went into it just for fun and by GOLLY was this sushi EXCELLENT. i got the Crazy Mexican Roll (crab, shrimp tempura, cream cheese, cucumber, spicy mayo, eel sauce, and some kind of roe) and i was FLOORED. absolutely FLOORED. the sushi dude knows what he's doing. it honestly didn't even need soy sauce! we also got churros and flan, and both me and my mother thought they were the best churros we've ever had. the service is good, the server we had when we first came was really nice and helpful, and she explained everything really well for someone who hadn't been there before. our second server was a delight as well. (thank you Gabriel!!) at first, we got put on a wait list (saturday night, you'd expect it) and several people went before us but the manager or whoever was in charge noticed that multiple similar parties had already gotten seated and made sure we were sat. kudos to the staff, the people in the kitchen, and whoever makes sure this place runs like it's supposed to because EVERYONE is doing their job. and- i gotta say something about this. the plating. gosh, the PLATING!! everything is so pretty! and i can't believe i haven't said anything about the interior. the interior is GORGEOUS. so nicely decorated, but i will say if your hearing is sensitive to be careful because if you're near the bar the music is pretty loud. it's worth it for the view and the food, though. at the time of posting this, the other review gave two stars because of pricing but honestly, their food is so high quality that you get what you pay for in the best way possible. there are cheaper places to go if you want that but i'm so serious when i say that the sushi was actually life changing. read more

My husband and I went tonight and I'm glad I did not read the reviews before we went. We are from Texas. - just passing through Clinton - and we have a lot of really good Tex Mex food! Pedro's was spot on! We had the chicken and the beef fajitas. They were delicious! The salsa is homemade - a little different than we normally have, but we felt it was better! The queso was made with white cheese - we think is more upscale than the yellow. Our server was Axel and he was so personable and attentive! I only wish we had this restaurant closer to our home! This place is WAY overpriced. We'd eaten at the location up in Ridgeland and had enjoyed the food. But this location does not have a kids menu, so our 7 year old had to order an adult meal. Cheese dip alone was $12. I ate off the lunch menu, and still our meal for 2 adults and a child was $70. That's insane when there are plenty of local Mexican restaurants nearby that we can eat at happily for half the cost. (We all drank waters, too, so price doesn't even include us getting drinks.) read more

Awful food. Bland, no flavor, I thought I was eating at an assisted living facility. The salsa was watered down. We informed the waitress we will not return but she suggested we order from a special section of the menu. Why wouldn't all the food have seasoning? The cocktail was a 10/10.
