A week ago, my brother and our two best friends had lunch. The food was good. My brother paid the Tab with cash, inclusive of a tip. The waiter brought the bill and cash back and asked him did he make a mistake on the tip. He pointed out the min us 18%. He also questioned if his service was not good or was there a problem. My brother told him no. The waiter walked away. That was embarrassing My brother called him back to the table and gave him more money and commented to the waiter apparently you were not satisfied with the tip. He took it and walked away, not a word of thanks. As we were leaving, I spoke to the manager about the incident. We are very reluctant to eat there. I eat out a lot, this is a first. It is going to take a long time to get passed this and I am informing all my friends to be aware if you don't tip enough, your waiter may ask you why in front of your guest. read more

We had a private birthday party at this location on Feb 1, 2025. The space was great, the food was great, the staff were wonderful but the service was somewhat uneven. It took awhile for our salads to be served and then the main courses came immediately after. We also had to check on delivery of our dessert. Whenever I travel through Beaumont, I have a standing date here! (Surprised I hadn't already reviewed it) I live for some Pappadeaux and this location is a perfect pit stop on the way to Houston. The food is fantastic and flavorful. They have huge portions, hand-crafted drinks and a friendly staff. We always cozy up to the bar (faster service that way) and have a fantastic dining experience. I love Pappadeauxs! If you're looking for good seafood, you have to dine here. I always make a stop at this location when traveling to and from Houston from Baton Rouge. The service here is always good and the food is outstanding. The restaurant is very nice and the bathrooms are always clean. During this visit, we had the stuffed crab combo from the lunch menu, the stuffed crab plate, and the fried cajun chicken tenderloins with fries. Everything was so good! The stuffed crab combo came with a stuffed crab, fried chicken tenderloins, fried shrimp, and french fries. The stuffed crab plate came with two stuffed crabs and fries but I subbed the fries out for the cheese grits with andouille and corn. If you love crab, you have to try the stuffed crabs here. This is a corporate chain, focusing on seafood and Cajun food, with a number of locations in Texas, and outposts in a few other states. I started with a salad, no - - technically, I started with a drink, then ordered the Pasta Mardi Gras, essentially a seafood pasta. It was delicious. The service was very attentive, and despite the many people in the restaurant, it was well staffed, and my food appeared pretty quickly. I can say that with a couple of drinks, my salad, and entrée, my tab for one was right up near $100. So bargain hunters may wish to look elsewhere, but I think you could do a lot worse than coming to a Pappadeux's if you are looking for a decent seafood dinner. read more

Our waiter was really nice but really ready to clear our plates. The women's bathroom is very small and the stalls are a tight fit minus the one larger one. First of all the aesthetics on this restaurant are extremely exciting and lure you with intrigue and beauty with immaculate landscaping and a huge entryway fountain in a courtyard filled with plants and gorgeous scenery. The entry to the restaurant is so elegant and comforting when I walked through the front doors. My eyes were drawn to all the fine details and New Orleans inspired masculine feeling without the feeling of being in a "fancy or judgemental" restaurant. I'm a northerner and was welcomed kindly. Vacation not off to a good start When we arrived we were told there would be a wait for our party of 5 - despite a number of empty tables. The hostesses seemed to argue about where to seat us, etc. They all left to speak with a server to see if they could seat us in their section. While they were away, another hostess came up and started giving us dirty looks and making comments under her breath. When I asked if there was a problem, she said no and just brushed me off. The confusion continued as they figured out where to seat us. When we brought the issue up to the manager, they said they would take care of the issue. I substituted my sides for the Cheese Grits with Andouille & Sweet Corn and Truffle Potatoes. I was accidentally given the Almond Green Beans instead of the Truffle Potatoes and our waiter, Hendrix was awesome and took care of correcting my order immediately. The Salmon was cooked perfectly medium and thankfully, was not overcooked and dry like so many do. The Ginger Glaze was balanced with the perfect amount of sweetness and was so delicious, I scooped my Green Beans and Almonds and my Truffle Potatoes into it every time I took a bite.
