Have been here many, many times over the years. This place has great drinks, a fun atmosphere and good food. The service is always amazing as well. The only downside is that it is always packed. Parking can be crowded and the wait time can be long both for a table and for food and drink orders to arrive. We have celebrated many holidays and birthdays here and they always treat us right so I do recommend giving it a try and making your own decision. We will continue to return to this spot when we are not pressed for time as we do enjoy the food and drinks

Fajitas!! We have been trying fajitas at different places in austin and man the fajitas at Pappasito's is sooooo good! We got the family platter since most of us wanted fajitas and wanted to try different things. It was awesome! The service is great, margaritas as strong and good with a laid back vibe. We'll definitely be back, these are the best fajitas I've had!

The fajita Wednesday is a great deal for two people! The steak is so juicy, the chicken is ok but could be a little more tender. The tortillas are extremely fresh and the salsa is nice. All the staff we interacted with was sweet too- will definitely come back on another Wednesday

First visit here and it was ok. We waited over an hour for a table of 6 when we were told it would be 20 minutes. Waited 10 more minutes for water to be brought to the table. The manager seemed overwhelmed but he did comp two appetizers and the kids meals. Our food saved the day though my husband food came long after everyone had received. The food was HOT. I had the salmon plate and it was grilled well. It's a really big restaurant with a bar. I would give it another try but maybe on a slow day at opening for better service.

Even in a city now jam packed with great restaurants,Pappasitos still places head and shoulders above some of the competition. Part of the corporate chain outta Houston, anyone who's dined at a Pappas restaurant is a happy camper. You can find their food in Major Texas Cities. My Texas Redfish on the Half shell today was perfectly prepared and exactly what the Doctor ordered. The table also ordered the world class Chicken Flautas...simply untouchable, world class . Always accompanied by excellent service. If you see Papas in a restaurant name anywhere in Texas, screech to a halt and go eat.

We reserved a seat on the website. We waited about 10 minutes after arrival and were seated by a friendly hostess. We were served by Ernie. He did not seem happy to serve us. He asked my friend if she ordered a drink and after she reminded him of the discussion he did bring the drink. Even though he was standing with his coworkers I still had to go and ask for a refill. I had the snapper taco which was great with the chicken enchilada. The food arrived on a nice hot plate. The chips and guacamole were wonderful . My friends both enjoyed their desserts. I won't let one server keep me from going again.

Pappasito's is one of my favorite non hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurants. Our waitress was fantastic! She sat us quickly despite the lunch rush and she anticipated our needs. The restaurant itself is a bit crowded - most likely to accommodate more people. The food was amazing! I love their fajitas and Diablo shrimp. This plate is great if you're on the carnivore diet.

I don't post reviews often, but I read them nearly every time I visit a new restaurant. I had low expectations after reading several less than favorable reviews but my husband implored me to go - so we did! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The hostess, waiter and additional staff helping deliver food, drinks and bussing tables were on point. Arguably most importantly, the food was impeccable! I consider myself someone who isn't easily impressed by average food. We shared the beef fajita, quail and shrimp brochette and the lamb chops meal. The flavors were amazing and there was plenty of food...we have a full meal of leftovers. Our waiter, Luis, was attentive and kind and I just want to give this guy a shout out! Thank you all, we will be back!

For me the Salisbury steak was the best I've ever had. I'm from the Midwest and that was a staple but when I got to Cali it was rare to find. Fun fact we own a family restaurant since 1983 and that was on the menu but people really didn't order it like that so we discontinued it. Maybe if it tasted like yalls it would've worked. Anyway whenever we are in Austin again we are coming straight there. I love the popcorn snack before the meal as well and that could've been my dinner by itself. Cool vibe as well throughout so keep up the good work! Oh and the burnt ends grilled cheese was amazing as well and the fries! ALLLLL GOOD!!!

The absolute star of the show was the Street Corn Queso. Our waiter, Chris, recommended adding brisket to it, and that completely changed the game! The sweet, creamy queso paired perfectly with the tender brisket and their house-seasoned tortilla chips. Pro tip: it's not officially on the menu, but definitely ask your waiter to add the brisket--you won't regret it (huge thanks to Chris!). As for the main course, the classic cheeseburger was humongous and super juicy, served alongside fries that were delightfully airy and crispy. While the bun was a bit underwhelming, it was still a very satisfying burger overall. Portion sizes here are huge across the board, so definitely come with a big appetite or plan on taking home leftovers! Highly recommended.

I had previously tried to go to the Burnet Road location but they were PACKED on a Saturday night with a 90 minute wait but this time I called ahead to the the Parmer Lane location around 5:30 pm and put my name in. NOTES: - Reservations: no but you can call ahead to put your name in - Parking: free lot in front of the building - Online ordering: available on their website through ToastTab for pickup for delivery - Happy hour: weekdays from 3:00 to 6:00 pm with half off some food items, $7 Mamaritas and La Playas, and $1 off cocktails, liquor, beer, and wine - Brunch: served Sat & Sun from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm THE HIGHS: - Server was friendly and gave recommendations - Complimentary chips and salsa (refilled throughout the meal) - Food came out quickly after ordering THE LOWS: - Busy around dinner time and kind of loud (great for celebrations but hard to hear each other at the table) - A little dark on the inside THE PRICE: Reasonable for the portion size and quality of food - Small queso compuesto ($9.99) - Barbacoa quesadilla ($16.99) - Barbacoa tacos ($16.99) - Pechuga Barbie ($19.99) - Side of abuelita rice ($2.99) - Sopapillas Aaliyah ($7.99) BEST BITES: - Barbacoa: delicious in both the quesadilla and tacos... super tender and flavorful - Queso compuesto: the meat, homemade quad, and pico are all fresh and add great texture to the melted cheese... perfect appetizer to split with a group THE VERDICT: I'd definitely return to Mama Betty's and recommend it to others! The Tex-Mex dishes felt slightly elevated compared to some other places and I love that they are locally owned and operated. They can be busy but it's worth waiting if you plan ahead and have the time!

For our entrées, we had Brian's Alambre Plate, the Chicken Mole, and the Line Cook's Snack Plate. Brian's Alambre Plate combines sirloin, pork pastor, house-made chorizo, and bacon with peppers, onions, and melted Jack cheese. It was good and certainly offers plenty of variety and flavor. For my personal taste, though, if I am primarily craving meat, I prefer Eldorado's Carne Guisada. There is nothing wrong with the Alambre, I just think the Carne Guisada is the stronger choice for me. The Chicken Mole is my wife's favorite, and unfortunately it is only offered as a special late on Thursdays. The house-made mole has a rich, distinctive flavor that works very well with the chicken, and it is easy to understand why she looks forward to it. The Line Cook's Snack Plate was also a great combination with two flautas, a choice of Chicken Caldo or Texas Red, Eldorado rice, and guacamole salad. It is a nice option when you want a little bit of several things rather than one large entrée. Overall, another very enjoyable meal at Eldorado Cafe. Good food, plenty of variety, and enough different flavors on the menu that everyone can find a favorite. We certainly have ours!

The sides were great as well and complemented the steak nicely. I had the Watermelon Agua Fresca to drink. It was refreshing, but not my favorite watermelon drink I've had. Overall, I loved the steak and was impressed with the quality of the food! A couple of things could be improved, though. Some of the light fixtures hang way too low, so if you're tall, be careful! Also, the back-of-house area spilling into the restaurant space feels a little odd and takes away from the overall atmosphere.
