Whoever came up with the Shrimp Mojito dinner special is a genius. So delicious!!! Our server Brett was excellent and checked in often. Atmosphere, music and vibe of this place keeps us coming back.

Great service...beautiful atmosphere. 1st time here. The pork tenderloin was good with stuffed chorizo in the center. Would come back next time !

    13 spice chicken pasta

Jack Allen's is always a favorite. We really like their varied menu and there is always something for someone. I had the 13 spice chicken pasta, which was 'good' but wouldn't be a favorite only because there was no real 'bold' taste out of the 13 spices claimed. But, I wanted to try something different and I did and don't regret it. The waitstaff are always pleasant and give the appearance they like their jobs.

I haven been wanting to try this place for a while and finally had an opportunity. Everything is fresh and locally sourced (bonus) and so delicious!!! My mom and I both had salads that were giant and the amount of protein on them was a lot- nothing skimped on. Our waitress was awesome and the atmosphere was relaxing and clean. The only thing I would change is more local drafts. Besides their seasonal, they were all the norm you find most places (and I live in New Braunfels), and I wanted more options that were a little less mainstream. I did enjoy the Lazarus Brewing Pils, though! I will definitely return when in the area!

While in town I wanted to try something new and this place was a great choice. The atmosphere and decor were consistent throughout with the dim lighting adding to the ambiance. Our waiter was attentive and offered some great recommendations. The margaritas are definitely a hit and the perfect combination of sweet and spice. I ordered the chicken pasta it was very creamy I wish it had a little more flavor but overall was a solid dish. I would love to go back.

Service was fantastic! We were a party of 7 and in no rush. Our server took great care of us. We didn't have to ask for much as he kept anticipating our needs. My friends ordered a variety of things catfish, chicken, salad, special wild mushroom enchiladas (no longer available) which they said was divine. The only downside ***for me*** is there are limited vegetarian options other than salads. Five stars for the carnivores. My friends really love all their locations in the area. I usually just agree to go along. As far as the menu, it would be nice to see a list of side orders versus having to read through all the entrees to see what can be ordered. I mean I get they want people to order the entrees, but sometimes you want small bites other than appetizers.

Love to come here for lunch! I almost always get the Ruby Red trout salad because it's amazing and the perfect amount of food. Everything on their menu tastes great so you cannot go wrong here. I love that they have a GF menu and staff is knowledgeable, I only wish there were more options. One of my favorite places to eat!

I haven't been to Jack Allen's in years and boy have I been missing out! The service was great! I felt like I was being served for my birthday but it was just a normal occasion! Justin and Nick was great and very attentive! Beautiful place for a date night ambiance was nice! The star was the pork chop! The mashed potatoes and veggies! Everything was full of flavor! I will be back, Monday through Friday for their 3-6:30 Happy hour

I had an amazing experience at Jack Allen's. We made a reservation and were promptly seated with a great server. I ordered the Killer Burger with Swiss cheese, Thousand Island dressing, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes. I really liked the way my burger was cooked and the flavors of everything. I ordered a mix of sweet potato fries and regular fries and loved the regular fries! This a great place to go with a family because it's lively without being too loud to hear one another. I can also see this being a great place for a dinner with co workers or even a date night! We came here for a casual dinner and it was perfect as well! It's Austin so there's no dresscode but feel free to dress up! I've been here a handful of times and never had a bad experience here! I have yet to save room for dessert but their menu (the server's memorize the menu!) sounds amazing!

The space mixes art deco with a little bit of Spanish flair, tucked beside/adjacent to Mama Betty's. It's big, but arranged in a way that still feels cozy and social. The crowd? Late 20s to early 40s. Grown and attractive. Lively but not chaotic. Vibrant without being loud. Perfect for dressing up a little, socializing and lingering a little. We Ubered there, so I didn't get a full picture of the parking, but it seems like there may be a little parking garage or validated parking area? Maybe a pay for parking? I would read other reviews. Most of the staff? Fantastic. Professional, warm, funny. Our assigned waitress, however, gave off overwhelmed and low-energy. She was short with communication and it sort of dulled our sparkle for a moment, but the drinks and vibes quickly brought it back. Had we had another waitress, this place would have been a 10 out of 10. On to the drinks: Round one: espresso martinis (made with Tito's). Slightly sweet, bold, smooth, and very sippable. No coffee bean decorations on top, but full of flavor. No cream inside...sort of reminding you of a Black Russian. Served in a ribbed coupe glass. Round two: French 75s with Hendrick's. Punchy lemon flavor, a tad sweet, lower champagne notes but still giving French 75. Garnished with a dried lime slice instead of a lemon. Served elegant in those ribbed coupe glasses (which fit the aesthetic perfectly). The cocktails are well-crafted and intentional. They aren't overly boozy, but they are balanced, smooth and polished. Bathrooms? Immaculate. Unisex. Private stall rooms with their own individual doors. Efficient and modern. No long lines. Opportunity to mingle with the opposite sex in the bathroom if that suits your fancy. Foxtail feels like a good place to start a new chapter. We had good conversations and we enjoyed staying out just a little longer than we planned. Their Happy Hour (4:30-6pm weekdays) is officially on my radar for the future. I'll be back. I want this place to be routine. 9 out of 10.

It's a very cute bar that you would expect to see in downtown Austin. The service was extremely fast and by the time we got all of our drinks, our table at Mama's was ready. So it definitely was NOT an hour wait. And it was a Saturday. We ordered some wines and the Parmesan fries which were really good. I would definitely come back here again.

They have happy hour 5-6 pm and we got the hummus half off! The hummus was so good. I love the pepper oil on top that gives it a little kick. It comes with pita bread but if you order more, it's an extra $3. We also got croquetas (ham and cheese fritters). There are four of them and they are sooo delicious!! This is a must get especially if you love warm and creamy stuff. The outside is nicely fried and if you never had it, it's similar to Japanese takoyaki. Although I love it a lot, the portion was just right for sharing because it really fills you up. We also got the potatoes (nice, but nothing that blew my mind) and chicken empanadas that I thought had a strange, sour taste. I wouldn't get that again. I highly recommend getting different tapas instead of the main courses so you can try different things. We were completely satisfied with the meal after getting these but still made room for the orange almond cake!! This was extraordinarily good!! Not too sweet and the cake has a nice moist texture-not dry. It took a while for food to arrive so service was a bit slow. You can also sit outside if you want but we sat indoors since it was chilly. It's a smaller restaurant so it's nice for an intimate meal or date. They have a bar. There's parking in the back, which is where the entrance is. Btw, this is also on inKind so I got to claim $25 off $50.

I thought it was so cool beans and had to go check them out - and I did on Christmas Eve last year. Yeah, so last year Christmas Eve I was getting my last swim in. And spoke to a couple of buddies who I met there about what they were planning to do over Christmas. Well, both of them said not much and I told them I was gonna head over to this bar called Lala's that celebrates Christmas all year round. They also never heard of it, but we ended up meeting up there later that night. The place was packed, and everyone was dressed up in their Christmas sweaters, and there was a countdown clock to Christmas Day, which I thought was really cool. We hung out there until the clock past midnight and to a shot for Jesus's birthday. I don't think Jesus does shots on his birthday so we figured why not, it's a really big deal, and so we'll do a shot in his honor. Amen. My friends really liked the place and I enjoyed it. A few few months later, a friend of mine came in from out of town and I told her about this bar and she got excited and I took her there and she really enjoyed it too. Rosé Gosé (note accents) is in an unassuming Airport Blvd location (right next to Jewboy Burgers, an Austin favorite). It is run by a couple from Belarus that came here right after Covid to open up a restaurant, with a sister in Minsk. Defying expectations, the menu is not Balkan at all. If anything, there is a strong Asian influence with poke bowls and a lot of seafood. But the menu also offers beef tartare on their raw bar menu, as well as a steak offering and grilled chicken. It's a diverse and adventurous menu, all the way from small plates to hefty mains and vegetable sides. For the dessert, try the pavlova, a meringue confection stuffed with coconut mousse and topped with lime sorbet and a grapefruit slice sidecar. Everything is superbly presented, and unquestionably fresh and healthy without veering into twigs and berries territory. The cocktail menu is also playful, with a lot of nontraditional glassware and slight spins on popular drinks; their version of a Paloma uses prosecco instead of a splash of soda. The servers are all dressed in rosé jumpsuits and very attentive. The space is amiable and elegant without being pretentious. The table spacing is a little close, so that conversations carry between guests. The table setting has some nice touches, like the little wooden bench that holds your fork and knife off the table. In European fashion, water can be asked for but it won't be served with ice. Plan on taking your time and enjoying course after course.

Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! When we walked in an artist was playing romantic music on his keyboard, which set the tone for the brunch. It is a small restaurant inside with a larger area of seating on the patio. Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. I ordered a mimosa that had high quality ingredients and was perfectly balanced...so smooth. We were also pleased with the drinks. This was the first time at Rosé Gosé, however, it definitely will not be the last.
