    "Cowtown Lovers"!
    Mike O.

The kids and I popped into the new Olathe location of Pizza 51 after a half day at school, and had a wonderful experience! Sitting right along the road on Kansas Avenue, it's easy to find! There's parking out front, and along the road as well. The building is really attractive, and has great indoor and outdoor dining options! Due to the unseasonably gorgeous weather for late August, we decided to pull up to a table on the patio! At the advice of the employee working the counter, we ordered a medium (18") "Cowtown Lovers" pizza to split between the three of us. We were a little worried it wouldn't be enough, but we all had two slices and were stuffed, leaving two slices for leftovers! The pizza came out super fresh and hot after no more than 20 minutes, which gave us time to enjoy the lovely weather and a couple passing trains (I swear, this set of tracks HAS to be the busiest this side of the Mississippi! ...all who traverse downtown Olathe know what I'm talkin' about!). Overall, the pizza was great, but what all of us kept raving about was the PERFECTION of the crust! They strike a perfect, PERFECT balance on the crispiness-of-bite, but soft-to-chew approach! We scarfed our pizza, nabbed a to-go box for those two orphaned slices, and were on our way! But, it won't be long before we head back for more pie at Pizza 51! Food = 5/5 Facility = 4/5 Service = 4/5 Ambiance = 5/5 Value = 4/5

This new location served up a tasty, large, pizza slice during my opening week dine-in lunch. My 12" x 9" custom five topping slice ($7.99) was brought to my table 14 minutes after I ordered at the counter. The slice was perfectly cooked with a thin, crunchy crust, plenty of toppings and fair amounts of cheese and sauce. I found the service to be mixed, with glum, inefficient, must repeat everything service at the counter but with cheerful table service and a satisfaction check from a manager. The interior offered an open kitchen, a garage theme, celebrity-themed table markers, two dining areas, seven TVs, 80s background music, plenty of natural light and one rollup garage door. I also noticed a covered patio. They offer beer, wine and a happy hour (3-6 PM M-F) Overall, pretty good!

First time at Pizza 51. We sat on patio and trouble enjoyed our Saturday afternoon. Orders a few pizzas bc we knew we wanted to take some home. Brought our puppy dog and he got fresh water bowl from our waitress. The cow town and the chicken pizza were amazing. The crust was so good. We took a pepperoni home and our daughter loved it. We will be back for sure. Keep up the good work. It is tough starting out and I saw some reviews were they were not so great. It takes time to get things down to an art form. We are quick to judge. And this place will shine bright for years. Keep supporting and keep grinding at Pizza 51

I've been excited about this place since I first heard about it. It strangely huge inside and can accommodate large groups. Great patio with tvs outside. Pizza tastes about like that New York style. Only weirdness is ordering up front and starting at the menu. After that it's a well oiled machine. I've tried a couple menu items and definitely have more to sample .

I wanted to try Pizza 51 and I love supporting local businesses. My co workers all had mixed reviews. They said it wasn't bad but not best either. I went for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. I attempted to order online ahead of time . They were not accepting online orders at that time as they were not set up for that yet in their Olathe location. We ordered two slices of pizza. Their slices are large. Definitely one slice is more than enough. It is weird how they slice it but the taste is good. I saw someone ordering their largest pizza it was massive. We picked up our pizza slices and took it to go. There was unfortunately because of how hot it's been so many flies around. It's definitely this heat that is attracting the flies. I wish the onions on the highway special were more cooked. Presentation was ok . I wish this business much success.

I was solo so I sat along the tiny bar. Bar is fine, stools are TINY!

Today was another excellent day at Pizza 51. My daughter and I share a slice of cheese pizza and a chicken Caesar salad and still had leftovers. The crust on the pizza is just so tasty and the salad was perfect. The service today was excellent! We were checked on frequently and Maureen (sp) at the front was warm and friendly. Can't wait to return.

This is delicious pizza. We had the small (not personal) pizza. It was the Cowtown Lover's pizza, and their two other specialty pizzas looked delicious, too. And we had small house salads; blue cheese and ranch. We'll definitely be back. Cal K.

The pizza for a single slice is large and cooked New York style. The price is decent considering the times we live in.

When we told her it was our first visit to the restaurant, she took the time to carefully go over the menus with us (regular, happy hour, and drinks), providing her recommendations when we asked. Her guidance was spot-on-target! For drinks, I had a Mindful Chai and my friend had the 3-Beverage Flight (Golden Hour, Heart Says Thanks, and Tres Raices). My chai was the BEST I have ever tasted (and I order chai every chance I get!), and my friend loved her 3 drinks (she said Tres Raices was her favorite). For our food, we split an order of the Not Queso Dip and the Avocado Tostadas. We were both very impressed by how fresh the ingredients were, and the blend of flavors in each dish that created a unique and yummy taste. The Kitchen has an open, airy layout that inspires deep breathing, while the arrangement and spacing of tables still provides for intimacy of conversation and minimal ambient noise. Sofhia checked back with us several times during our meal to ensure we had everything we needed and were thoroughly enjoying our food and drink (we were!). It was a delightful meal, and we thank Sofhia, the kitchen staff, and everyone at Whole Harvest Kitchen for such a lovely time. We'll be back!!

I would recommend the lobster ravioli myself. The location is in the old Abblebee's but you wouldn't know it when you walk in as they had it so adorably decorated with all the flair. At the end of the meal we had the best and most creamy and delicious tiramisu which they brought out and sang happy birthday to me. We will be back for sure!

If this is the type of Italian food that you like, you will have a much better overall experience at Olive Garden - both in service and in variety and quality of the food. As others have said, this is in an old Applebee's and the decor and aesthetic hasn't improved a bit. This is NOT a place you would want to go on date night. It's maybe a place you take very young kids so the bright lights can show what they may drop on the floor. I just never felt comfortable throughout dinner. There is zero coziness here. The service was just okay. Nothing to write home about. The mains were delivered about two minutes after we received our salads, so there was no time to eat the salad. We had to ask to have any plates cleared from the table. And they sat five of us at a four-top, so there was no room on the crowded table for dirty plates. The food was fine. We had a free appetizer coupon and ordered the calamari. It was just okay. I wouldn't order it again. The menu is odd. I don't know anything about the owners, but it feels like an Italian restaurant run by Mexicans. If you've been to a Chinese restaurant run by Mexicans, then you'll know what I'm talking about. The dishes just had odd ingredients that you don't usually see at an Italian restaurant. There's a pasta dish with pink sauce that contains jalapenos. Their carbonara special stated that it contained bacon, but - at best - it was canadian bacon, it was little slices of thin deli ham, like cold cuts. There were other unusual ingredients in that dish: bell peppers and kalamata olives. Carbonara is usually bacon or guanciale or pancetta. And the only vegetable you may see in an American-style carbonara are peas. And the sauce definitely wasn't a traditional egg yolk sauce, but some type of alfredo sauce. The chicken breast in the pasta dishes is all butterflied very thin and grilled on a flattop, like it would be done in a mexican restaurant. I'm pretty sure that a pasta dish served at an actual Applebee's or similar restaurant would be better than what you receive here.

I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with garlic aioli, and it hit the spot. The burger was tender and juicy, the mushrooms were perfectly seasoned, and the bun was toasted (always a nice bonus).
