My daughter loves betta fish, this one was our 3rd. We can't seem to find them anywhere. My husband stumbles upon this place. I mean we bought the fish er had no other choice . BUT not only did the place smell which I can understand I felt it was just so filthy . Like how you take care of fish . Idk what you need to take care of fish BUT it was purely gross in there. I waited for my husband outside.

It's look like a little bit empty all the time , but after I won a fist in a parade we want an another one , this is the closest "pet store" in the area (actually only tank/aquarium pets lol) . It was surprised busy and they very helpful and nic

This pet shop is great and convenient prices are a little high regarding air pumps and fish tank equipment. If you need help try to get the owner Gary to help you, the young's kids working there have attitude and they act miserable. They don't want to do anything.

Not really sure if thats normally how it is. I bought 2 cherry shrimps and it ran me $6. Thats about the same price as 1 from empire fish on Northern Blvd. I asked the lady for 2 female shrimps and she picked them out for me. Unlike Empire, when I asked for a female shrimp the guy there said there's no way to tell. BS

Before I address the haters, I want to say this place is my top choice for a local fish store. Now if you are still on the fence about coming here due to some people questioning the durability of MA's fish with them getting sick" within a day or two after bringing home" or that "Selling sick fish is unacceptable". Let me ease your mind. Yes, fish do get sick sometimes. That is always unfortunate. It is also sometimes out of a LFS's control at times. Pathogens, parasites and protozoa are always present in aquaculture. Symptoms may remain dormant or negligible and cannot be detected from a glance. Hence it is why we in the hobby quarantine new fish, not just for diseases we can see but also those we cannot. However sickness can sometimes not be preventable. Something you CAN prevent is a massacre of your whole tank by simply QUARANTINING YOUR FISH. If you allow time to do its thing you will most definitely know whether or not any action needs to be taken. Simply dumping new fish into established tanks just means " I dont care about my fish", " If they die its not my fault since I didnt know they were sick". Now alot of people in this hobby are beginners and thats great! Just learn to ask for help. If help is coming from a person who "pretended he didn't understand what I was saying", GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. There's this pretty neat place call the internet. Oh? you're on it now? WOW! SEE look at that! Not so Hard right? BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!! :) All in all, sorry for the rant. It is just frustrating to see such a good and hard working establishment come under fire from people who dont do their research and go "oh no, the consequences of my actions" when they screw up. K Bye ;)

We have had 3 walkers with them and each has been very trustworthy and responsible with our little guy. They walk each dog individually which was great for my dog who loves to get all the human attention to himself. It also allowed him the time and space to do all his business which did not happen when he was walked with multiple dogs (other company we used). We have never had a single issue with any walker in the last 2 years which I cannot say we experienced when we were in Brooklyn. They also have a great app where you can request and cancel appointments with ease as well as view pictures and comments from each walk. We also used them for various in home pet sitting over the years which worked out beautifully. The rates for both walking and sitting were competitive with the area. Overall, if you are looking for a dedicated walker or sitter to care for your pet this is the only place to look in Forest Hills!
