We stayed in a hotel 1/2 block from Paradise. Excellent coffee and matcha! Plus, they have gluten free goodies. We got the ham quiche, spinach quiche, lemon poppyseed muffin and morning glory muffin (my favorite) each morning. We were always greeted with a smile and everyone was very friendly.
Paradise Bakery is AMAZING! I needed a last min birthday cake with a very specific theme - Pigeons. They were more than happy to accommodate an amazing cookie cake super last minute and went above and beyond with their art and decor! Look how amazing this pigeon is! I was blown away at how realistic it was and how talented they are, and it tasted amazing. It was a hit !! Thank you Paradise Bakery for such a memorable cake and experience!
Without hesitation, I head over to the Paradise Bakery for some fresh delicious food. After finding street parking, I stroll over to the bakery and stand in line with all the other hungry customers waiting patiently to put in their orders. There's cold water available to quench my thirst while I'm ordering a small ham and cheese quiche ($6), an ice brew of medium size coffee ($4.80), and a fresh chocolate chip cookie ($2.50). There's an abundance of different kinds of cookies piled high to choose from. There's no inside seating but there are plenty of benches outside to eat and watch other people enjoying their food. A employee came by to offer some of their sweet treats to sample. Oh, I can't forget their many flavors of ice cream! This place has now become a tradition whenever I'm in town!
Paradise Bakery is an Aspen institution and for good reason! The service and food quality is top notch. I visited during a hot day and the Gelato hit the spot. They even give you a small cookie with your gelato. Their baked goods are fantastic as well. They have a varied selection of cookies all of which looked delicious. Unfortunately I was only able to eat one but I plan on working through their other flavors in due time. Their reputation precedes them which is why there is always a line but it moves quickly. Do yourself a favor and swing by Paradise Bakery when you are in Aspen. You won't be sorry you did.
So I didn't actually order anything but wanted to say two things: this is one of the only coffee shops/bakeries I saw on the map that was open late (after 6p), and I popped by after dinner @7:30p on a Sat and the line/crowd was insaneeee so I left bc the line was too slow but obvs it's either really good or just the only option available bc omg that line!! I didn't survive it, I waited about 3-4 mins but the line hadn't moved at all, and I was like the 8th or 9th person (line wrapped inside) so I bounced bc it was late and I had 1.5 hrs to drive. But the vibe looks good :) Wish I could've tried something!
We came here for gelato and we're not disappointed. They had a wonderful variety of gelato and baked goods. I tried their 'Cookie Monster Muncha' which I loved! The gelato was blue with chunks of cookie and marshmallow inside. I got a single scoop and it came with it a small cookie. It was the perfect treat for a warmer sunny day.
The smell of deliciousness just knocks you over as soon as you walk in. I am so excited to get something from their bakery now. Homemade gelato! Where have you been? The staff is super friendly. The coffee is good, but not craveable if that is a word. All the gelato comes out with an adorable delicious cookie on top. Their orange marmalade muffin is amazing. I would come back for the bakery and gelato.
My family always comes here when we visit Aspen. I am giving 5/5 stars due to their efforts with the small finishing touch: adding a small little cookie on top of the ice cream (without asking for it). Those little bits of extra effort go a long way in my book! Also, the dairy free flavors for my son were numerous here. Usually at creameries, the dairy free ice cream is like a rock and hard to scoop, but here it appeared creamy and easy to manage!
LOVE THIS PLACE. In the summer they have live music outside. All of the pastries are made fresh daily in house. This place gives the European bakery vibe right here in Colorado. It's busy, but the line is fast and moves quickly! You pick what you want, you pay and leave. A simple, business model executed beautifully. Anytime I am an aspen. I will always stop by here to grab a pastry some ice cream and coffee. The gelato here is so good, obviously, not as good as you would get in Europe, but that has to do with the milk difference in the US versus Europe. For the US, it's really good gelato. They have a lot of different flavors. I've never been disappointed, and I've been here six times. My phone never eats first here. I'm so excited every time. I was going to get dessert from Paradise after dinner Friday evening and then decided against it because I didn't want to be too full. I told myself I'd get a little victory dessert the next day after the Aspen Valley Marathon. I stopped in to treat myself to their yummy gelato. I had half birthday cake and half Black Diamond Cookies & Cream. I loved the little cookie atop. The treats in the front case looked sooooo good! I wanted one of everything. Definitely returning on a trip in the future. Fast, friendly service. I didn't have much of a wait on the afternoon I went. I was in and out within 5 minutes and my order came up very quickly. Everyone LOVES Paradise! You absolutely cannot come to Aspen and not have them.
I was expecting to be overwhelmed with all of the great reviews but this place was just okay to me. It's also not cheap. I tried a variety of things and nothing knocked my socks off. From the zucchini nut muffin, to the carrot cake, to the chocolate croissant - it was all just okay. I would head over to Felix roasting co and enjoy one of their pastries. I will say, the customer service here is stellar! The staff was very friendly. read more

They did an amazing job creating a birthday cake for our office at Dr. Johnson's! As a hygienist, I asked them to get creative with a fun teeth-and-carrots theme--and they absolutely blew me away with both the design and the delicious carrot cake flavors. Thank you again! read more
An amazing ice cream shop in Aspen besides sundae in snowmass! The customer service is 10/10 and you get the feeling that everyone there loves their job. I find it surprising that there were so many employees behind the small space but that just goes to show how busy they get and their attention to customer service. Baked goods, desserts, and ice cream all in one place! U can't go wrong read more

I usually like to do my research and visit a locals favorite! I wasn't disappointed. It was busy and very nice employees! Coffee was amazing. I also got two muffins, the morning glory (gf) and the chocolate chip banana muffin. I personally loved the morning glory! The Gelato was my favorite! I mean coffee anything is my jam. Definitely check it out if your in Apsen. read more

We made a quick stop in Aspen just for ice cream of course because I have a problem... Picked up a few cookies along side our cones - they had quite a variety of flavors! I tried their peanut butter chocolate (which is peanut butter ice cream which chocolate flecks in it) and the raspberry sorbet. Both were tasty AND very different. So it all depends on your pallet :) Im a big fan of cookies, even bigger fan if they are soft and chewy. These are not on that side - so if you prefer a little soft but more crunchy these are your friends. read more
Just gonna come out and say it. This world would be a better place if all shops that served ice cream were like Paradise Bakery and did not charge extra for waffle cones. I passed by on a Sunday night while I was on the hunt for something sweet. I figured Paradise Bakery was worth a try based on the line outside. There were plenty of gelato flavors to choose from; I went with stracciatella. The gelato had a great vanilla flavor and was really creamy. I love that they put a mini cookie on top! But the best part was not paying an extra cent for the waffle cone...That alone is worth all the stars in my book! read more
Delicious ice cream spot in aspen and it's the only one from what we saw. Nearby seating is crowded because of this. We had the blackberry lavender and blood orange sorbet. The sorbet was one of the best I've had and the blood orange flavor was so refreshing and not too tart. One of the best flavors I've had and would highly recommend. Normal for aspen prices and the service was good. Would highly recommend. As far as the bakery, they did give us a mini chocolate chip cookie that was delicious. read more
For me it was just okay. My daughter thought the cookies were amazing. I thought they were waxy tasting. We purchased a sugar cookie, snickerdoodle cookie and a blondie. The blondie was moist with toasted coconut. It was good but not amazing. Cute and busy place. Come early since a lot of items were sold out. Friendly staff, easy to locate. There are a lot of benches outside to sit on. The gelato looked really good, however, it was a cool and misty dat we visited so we had to pass. read more
The best gelato I've had in my life. Seriously. The pistachio flavor one is soooo good!!! Would definitely come back to Aspen just for this! Lol The banana chocolate chip muffin was ok but come here for the ice cream guys!!! There's always a line everytime we walked past it even late at night! That's when u know it's good. ;) read more
Wow I understand the hype! The baked goods are so delicious, and the staff is friendly and warm. We arrived around noon on a Saturday morning. There was a 10-15 person line, but the staff brought out spoonfuls of ice cream to keep us fed and entertained. The ginger molasses cookie was my favorite - unique, moist, and popping with flavor! We also got a blueberry muffin for breakfast the next day. It kept surprisingly well Definitely worth a visit when you're in town! read more
SUMMERTIME VISIT: The line outside is long - going around the corner where the outdoor seats are located - but it moves quickly. Tomorrow they're closed (2021.08.16) to add a to-go window so that might alleviate their line. We tried a variety of menu items. We got two ice cream cones, one ice cream cup, one ice cream sandwich of snickerdoodle and birthday cake ice cream, a chocolate croissant, a ginger molasses cookie, a hot latte, and an iced cold brew coffee. And with fare like that, there's not a complaint in the group. Everything in Aspen costs a little more, so plan on that. read more

In downtown Aspen, there is a local bakery called Paradise Bakery. Fresh-baked goods, fresh-squeezed lemonade, and homemade gelato are all found here seven days a week from 6:30 A.M. to 9 P.M. The menu has so many options, including gluten-free ones, and it is so hard to pick when everything looks so good. The croissants are a must-try. They are all so flakey, buttery, and yummy. The chocolate croissant is super chocolatey. The almond croissant is filled with frangipane. The sweet croissants can be a little too much sugar for breakfast, but the ham and cheese croissant is perfect for breakfast. The muffins and cookies are popular as well, and the mini muffins and the chippers (mini cookies) are great if you are someone who likes trying multiple flavors. Gelato is always good after a meal, and the gelato here is creamy and comes with a chipper. Catering trays are available, and the trays seem like a pretty good deal for a bulk order. The prices are very reasonable considering that you are in Aspen where everything is expensive. The staff seems nice, but they are not perfect. I ordered a mini muffin tray once, and the staff seemed like they forgot about the order - it was not ready even though I came well after pick-up time, and they had also ignored my request for more of a specific flavor. Another time when I did an online order, I was overcharged. Regardless, the muffins were super yummy, and my billing issue was quickly fixed. Paradise Bakery is a great spot to go to at any time of the day. Whether you are starting your morning or ending your day, the menu has something for you. Start your morning with a fresh-baked treat. End your day with some gelato. read more

This place was so good we came for breakfast then came back for gelato later that afternoon! I had the spinach and cheese croissant which tasted like a spinach/ cheese quiche within the croissant so you can imagine how good it tasted. I also had a matcha latte which was good but would have been better with a flavored syrup. Gelato was so good, many unique flavors and they even put an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie on it. Worth the hype and the line! A small little place to stop by for a treat, there's no seating indoors. The lemon bar was one of the best I've had and you can't go wrong with the gelato - pistachio was the best one I tried! read more

Best ice cream/sorbetto IN ASPEN! Make sure you have a solid 15 minutes if you want to order from here, because the line is always stretched around the corner. They have a huge assortment of ice cream and sorbetto flavors, as well as baked pastries and coffee (which was delicious). For vegan options, they have an ice cream flavor, sorbet, and one or two muffins. If you come in the summer months, you can hear Aspen music festival students playing outside! read more
Came to Aspen from Breckenridge. Ample of street parking available. Not overly crowded on street or the cafe. Were in search for some hot coffee and a good bakery confectionary to go with it. Sadly they were out of their chocolate croissant, which we were looking forward to. They are well known for their Gelatos, but damn winter here is something other, could not have something cold. So ordered their:- Hot Mocha latte:- Had it with single shot, already came with sugar added. The drink was Luke warm, by the 3rd sip it went cold. This place opens early and closes late, so it perfect for travelers it has a enormous selection of food, from ice cream to pastries and cookies even crossiants they have. It is one of my favorite bakeries and I totally think you should go there. The service there is awesome and they definitely have enough people working there for all of the demand. So I would say to go check it out. Although all of that is great it is just the coffee that makes a five go down to a four. The coffee wasn't anything special it was just out of a machine. read more

What a fun little treat to enjoy while walking the boujie streets of Aspen. I spent way too long trying to decide which flavor to pick, but ultimately went with the blue cookie monster. However, apparently there was a mix up with another customers order and we were offered a second ice-cream cone on the house! That one was lavender and peanut butter (different scoops of course) both were delightful. I'll be honest, I think I was expecting it to be more creamy and fatty, and it turned out to be a little more on the icey side, but it was still really good, and I'm glad that we stumbled upon it. It seemed like really good quality, and it came with a free mini cookie on top! Definitely will go back next time we are in town. read more

I guess Gucci dresses and sweets don't really go well together, therefore lack of bakeries/chocolate stores/sweets in Aspen. Totally understandable. I assume that's why Paradise Bakery is always so busy. Nothing bad to say but there is nothing special about it. A few baked goods on display, a decent ice cream selection (it was pretty good, but I don't think I have ever had bad ice cream). Despite the long line, the service was super fast. Overall, it's a good place but I wish it was a little bit more unique :) read more

Really was craving Ice cream after a hike!! Someone on the trail recommended this to our group. It was worth it! There was a line out the door and there was a circle of benches outside the shop. After you ordered, a worker then brought out the ice cream. It was delicious. A fun surprise of a small little cookie with every ice cream. It was a little expensive, about $4.45. The portions were very filling though! read more
Not sure why there are so many negative reviews about the staff because we have been here twice and the staff were so friendly and nice. However, we always stopped by early in the morning when they opened and it wasn't busy. We tried: Morning glory muffin - so hearty with raisins, nuts, and carrots! It was really moist and delicious. Banana nut muffin - delicious and topped with walnuts. Ginger molasses cookie - a little harder than the other cookies but had a nice crunch to it. But the flavor wasn't my favorite. Lemon cookie - I really loved this cookie - great lemon flavor and so soft, not too sweet. Oatmeal raisin cookie - soft, chewy, and delicious Hot chocolate - they were able to make this with chocolate syrup and oat milk for me! It was perfect! Coffee - very light and bland, would not recommend Overall, their baked items are good and I like that everything we got was dairy-free and a lot were gluten free. This bakery has a lot of variety for all dietary restrictions. I recommend going early when they open to have the best variety as this place always has a line out the door throughout the day! read more

Stopped by a very hot summer day. I ordered the Peanut butter chip ice cream in a waffle cone with a mini oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. It was soooooo good! Definitely get one of the mini coolies to top your ice cream. read more
Came here 4 times in during our 6 days in Aspen. There's always a line every time we go and you will know why. But service is fast and friendly employees. Pastries are so fresh and delicious. Gelato...yumm! Must try if you are visiting Aspen! read more
