    Boulder and coffee
    Mike G.

Pretty good crepes for breakfast in Aspen this morning. They're not particularly cheap, but you are in Aspen. I had the Boulder, which was large, flavorful, and delicious. My wife had the Mawa's Green, which was also really good. They're not particularly easy to eat, and they're served vertical, so it's like you're eating a hot, flat ice cream cone filled with yummy stuff. Service was fine, but it's basically counter service, so you shouldn't be expecting a lot.

Loved this place! They had such a good variety of both sweet and savory crepes. It was pricey but definitely one of the least expensive places you'll find in Aspen. The food was solid. I got the Berry Me crepe and it was so sweet and flavorful. My favorite was the whipped cream on top. The service was quick. The place was pretty small though and there wasn't a lot of seating outside or places to stand inside. Other than that it was awesome.

The perfect place to grab a coffee and a quick breakfast in the morning. We love grabbing something to eat and then strolling over to the park to watch the dogs play, and take in the morning breeze. Also, the crepes are delicious!

This place is brand new and was only opened 1 day. Their crepes are amazing. They're expensive but so is everything in Aspen. I spent $70 on 3 crepes and 2 drinks. We got the savory Californian, Bacon and Brie crepes and also the Black Passion sweet crepe. They were all delicious except the Black passion crepe was super messy and the whipped cream and chocolate got all over us no matter how careful we tried to eat it. I also got the lavender matcha tea which was so yummy and my friend got the lemonade. It's definitely a to go place but there's seating outside. It was so yummy but pretty expensive...but again not out of the ordinary in Aspen.

The employee was very helpful in choosing our crepe. We loved watching it being made. The crepe was delicious. They also have gelato, so we'll be back for dessert!

The food is great. Lots of coffee options too. Sweet and savory crepes. Different juices and teas as well. Highly recommended. I got the black passion. Very sweet but yummy.

The savory crepe was amazing. It's a dog friendly place in a dog friendly town. Would love to come here again! Good espresso too

Crepes was soggy and customer service could have been better. The guy who took our order was a little rude. Not worth the price.

A woman I met on the plane from Denver told me this was one of her two favorite places in town, so naturally I had to find it. As I was walking over, a complete stranger struck up a conversation, and being friendly, I chatted with him along the way. Before I knew it he was telling me he wanted to come eat with me, and I could not get my "No" out fast enough. I quickly realized he was under the influence, dealing with a mental health issue, or both and I wasn't sure how to free myself from him. I didn't even know his name. Once we sat down, I excused myself to the bathroom so I could tell the staff I had no idea who he was, or whether he intended to pay or expected me to. I'm not writing this to demonize the poor man, who at the end of the day was clearly pulling on some unconscious compassion. I'm writing it to thank the staff. Everyone was so kind, asking if I was okay, assuring me they'd split the check, and I think one of them even offered to walk me out the back if I wanted an escape route. We made it through dinner, he paid for himself, and I figured out how to shake him loose afterward. I'm so grateful for all the checking in you did throughout the evening, and for helping me not overreact. I'd wanted an app, a salad, a dessert. I also needed to get out of there. The bread was super yum, the Bolognese was decadent, and the Tuscan Chardonnay was gorgeous. I'll recommend this place to everyone. Sorry for bringing drama into your establishment. I'm sure a Michelin-adjacent restaurant doesn't need that on a Sunday. Thanks again for the great food and the great, above-and-beyond service.

Our experience at Meat & Cheese in Aspen was disappointing from beginning to end…read more To start with, the food was mediocre in every sense. The quality did not justify the prices, the flavors were forgettable, and nothing we ordered stood out. Unfortunately, what happened afterward was far worse. My wife accidentally left behind a shopping bag containing a brand new pair of sunglasses she had purchased earlier that day. When she returned to retrieve them, our interaction with a server named Carson was deeply disappointing. Instead of simply confirming ownership in a courteous and professional manner, Carson repeatedly questioned whether the sunglasses were actually hers. He kept emphasizing that they were brand new and worth around $600, making it clear that he found it difficult to believe they belonged to her. It was impossible not to feel that she was being judged based solely on her appearance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with verifying ownership of a valuable item. In fact, we appreciate businesses that take lost property seriously. What is unacceptable is allowing assumptions and stereotypes to influence how customers are treated. One lesson worth remembering is that genuine elegance and long established wealth rarely need to announce themselves. Those who have had the privilege of success across generations often feel no need to advertise it with designer logos or outward displays. True class is reflected in education, humility, confidence, and, above all, in the way people treat others. Ironically, Carson's assumptions said far more about his own judgment than they did about my wife. No customer should ever be made to feel that they need to "look wealthy" in order to be treated with respect. We hope management addresses this issue seriously. The mediocre food was forgettable. Being judged and treated with prejudice is not. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and dignity, regardless of how they are dressed or what assumptions someone chooses to make about them.
