Really enjoyed this bakery in Aspen! Ordered a vanilla latte with almond milk and a chocolate croissant and both were absolute perfection! The bakery is located off the Main Street so great for grabbing a latte and taking a stroll through the stores. It was usually busy, but the line moves quickly. Delicious pastries and espresso/coffee - perfect for take out during COVID while visiting Aspen. Service was professional and friendly and very careful to enforce social distancing during COVID. Excellent baked goods (loved their cookies) and our kids adored their hot chocolate and hot apple cider. Great lil place in the heart of Aspen. We stopped in for a quick snack and a coffee. Service was fast and friendly. Not too overpriced too; especially considering it's in Aspen. This business is perfectly named, it is indeed like a paradise for baked goods, coffee and ice cream. They have taped standing spots outside to remind patrons of social distancing measures. Only two people are allowed into the ordering space at a time. We stopped in for a croissant, hoping for a chocolate croissant based on previous reviews. They were sold out and we got the last apple croissant, it was delicious and flaky with a homemade tasting crust. The cream cheese brownie was the best brownie we've ever had. It is very rich and we were glad we split it between the two of us. After a day of hiking and leaf viewing, this was a perfect coffee break! There are benches to sit on outside that look up toward Aspen Mountain, but we decided to bring our boxed treats back to our condo and make our own pot of coffee. I was just walking around and stumbled upon this by accident but what a great surprise. I was just looking for something that would hold me over until lunch so I got their cheese and spinach filled croissant. It was perfect and filled me up a little too much that's how good it was. They warmed it up for me brought it out to me and I just sat outside and ate it. The croissant was huge and filled with so much cheese and spinach but was still flaky and easy to bite through it was like eating a pillow LOL. Really the only legitimate dessert option in Aspen other than desserts offered at the full service restaurants in town. In any other town this bakery would be a three, but given the sparse options they get bumped to a four. This is a grab and go location with zero seating. Find seating outside on benches. The inside of the bakery only has room for a line and can't even accommodate that during busy times. Ordering can be a bit of a cluster since the register is in the middle of the gelato/ice cream and the rest of the baked goods. We visited three times and I still don't know where we were supposed to be to order the gelato/ice cream. The cookie selection is decent, with at least half a dozen flavors. I had a pecan cookie with caramel that was very good. The flavor was delicious and the cookie had a slight crisp, but was still a little chewy. The oatmeal raisin cookie was okay, but wasn't as well flavored as others I've had before. A big part of the treats offered here is the ice cream/gelato product. They offer at least 20 different flavors. My husband loved the gelato/ice cream and visited several times for this alone. I wasn't a fan and would prefer they just make a choice between ice cream and gelato. The flavor was just okay and the texture wasn't creamy enough for me. Aspen is seriously lacking in ice cream so at least they are attempting to fill this gap. read more

There was no one in line when we arrived and we weren't sure if they sample flavors, so we stood in front of the gelato counter waiting to be helped but the person who was working looked at us and did not say anything to us. We ended up queuing after some kids came into the store and started ordering. The girl who took our order, on the other hand, was super friendly. The gelato was good and flavors were interesting - we tried the Blackberry Lavender and Natural Pistachio. It's been years since I have been to a Paradise Bakery! The locations in Indiana all converted to Panera Bread. I guess I thought Paradise was bought out and was very excited to see this one in Aspen! I popped in and got a turkey and Swiss croissant for breakfast and grabbed a few other things for later (cranberry bran muffin, chocolate chip cookie, and sugar cookie). The croissant was great! I had it warm and the cheese was perfectly melted and oozed out of the warm croissant. It was super filling and made for a hardy breakfast before a 4 mile walk on the Rio Grande Trail. I had part of the bran muffin for an afternoon snack. The muffin was moist and flavorful. It is also huge and I could only eat about half for my snack and will save the rest for later. The cookies were just as I remembered them! My favorite is the sugar cookie, but the chocolate chip cookie was good too! The only thing bad about this location is the lack of a restroom. There are available public restrooms nearby, but I expected the restaurant to have one and they do not. read more

So, we got 2 chocolate chip cookies (because of the reviewer), a lemon cookie and a chocolate peanut butter. I love lemon bars and the cookie is similar. Really flavorful and soft. Ok, the chocolate chip. My husband had his first, and he said "well I can say this lives up to the hype." It really does. Line out the door for this bomb bakery in Aspen! This is our go to for breakfast, pastries, and gelato. Their space is so tiny, there's only one way in and out but they are so quick and efficient here. Workers are so fast and friendly and they make sure everything goes by so smoothly. Our favorites are their variety of muffins, especially their pumpkin and the one with orange glaze. Their turkey and swiss croissants are delicious. Their hot drinks are good & of course, their cookies. I keep coming back for their chippers. $4 for a dozen of those little chippers... I mix sugar cookies, oatmeal raisin, & the chocolate one. Chocolate chip cooking, chocolate cookie, chocolate fudge cheesecake, and their ice cream were all so delicious! The cookies were soft and chewy just the way I like them. The peanut butter cookie was surprisingly not as soft, and was therefore more on the hard crunchy side, which i wasn't a fan of. The zucchini muffin was surprisingly yummy and so soft. Didn't really know what type of taste to expect from it, but I enjoyed it. The only thing I truly disliked was their ham and cheese croissant. Firstly, they didn't warm it up for us. And so when we're arrived in our hotel to warm it up ourselves, the croissant was so hard and crunchy, nothing how a croissant should be like. Was in the mood for a coffee and wanted to support a local shop vs franchise and decided to try this bakery for an iced latte and omfg I'm so glad we did! I ended up getting an iced mocha with oat milk and it was probably one of the best I've ever had; very chocolatey and tasted creamy but obviously without the dairy snagged one scoop of cookie dough ice cream in a waffle cone and a chocolate chip cookie while we were there and they were so good, we went back again the next day. Overall, will probably gain 10lbs while we're here this month but it's worth it if we're eating Paradise Bakery! read more

I picked up some delicious treats here to eat on my drive back to Denver. Quite frankly, I ordered way too much! I think they do exceptionally well with their cookies. I had a couple of their muffins & carrot cake. Though the taste is great, they're a little bit of a denser texture and not as light and fluffy as they should be. For their cookies, I particularly liked the Ginger Molasses as well as the Caramel peacan. The Ginger molasses is a bit harder (think more like gingerbread) and has a nice strong flavor. Meanwhile the Caramel pecan is soft and chewy. I also reccomend the white macadamia nut cookie though I wish there had been more macadamia. read more

Why 5 stars? Because the variety was phenomenal. --- --- --- This was one of the highest rated businesses in Aspen, so we had to hit it up before we got out of town. The ratings are well-deserved! First of all, my ham and cheese croissant was as good as it gets. Every bite was the perfect combination of melted cheese, butter, ham, and flaky croissant. I feel like I could eat one of those for the rest of my life and it would never get old. But what really stole the show for me was all the different concoctions of coffee and hot chocolate they offered. There were a ton of different syrups that allowed for an unlimited amount of flavors. There were also tons of muffins/cookies, as well as gelato flavors. Basically, they have the best variety:square footage that I've ever seen. Bonus note: when I'm on my death bed, I'm going to ask them to pipe in the smells of Paradise Bakery, to make my last hours on Earth more enjoyable. read more
