This place of business is rushed and the henna didn't last at all. Kept it dry for 2 hours (like she said) then wiped it down with a wash cloth. The only thing left was the stencil. We did everything correctly that she instructed us to do for the after care. This will not last after a shower. Do not recommend!!! (Keep in mind these photos were taken 4 hours after the henna was done and the only thing left is the stencil).

I'm so glad I didn't go by other reviews because we had an amazing experience! my daughters wrap looks perfect and the owner was incredibly kind and peesonable. We will definitely be making this a yearly tradition!

My sister and I came to Destin with our kids and KNEW we had to introduce to our childhood vacation favorite, HAIR WRAPS! We were having a hard time finding a place but thank goodness we came across Paradise through the internet. It was about a 30 minute drive (mostly because of traffic) but man was it worth it!!!!!! She seriously did the BEST job on my daughters' hair wraps and even added cool designs. She has every color possible and I almost debated on getting one ;) Her salon was clean and super cute and so was she. She was so patient with my 4 year old chatter box. If you need a hair wrap in Destin or surrounding areas, don't bother trying to go to a surf shop, this place is the best!!!!! We will definitely be back every time we are in Florida. Thank you soooo

We were in Destin on a family vacation last week. With the hurricane spoiling most of our outdoor plans, we called and scheduled a henna tattoo and hair wrap for two of our grandchildren. Owner showed up promptly and was very sociable. Both my grandchild and I questioned her about the tattoo, because we were at the beach and it was the beginning of our vacation. She told us that the longer we kept it dry, the darker it would stay, but that even with swimming and showering, that the tattoo would last at least two weeks. We told her we had heard that we had to keep it dry for 48 hours, and also 4 to 8 hours. She told us that we should wash the tattoo with soap and water as soon as it was dry (and when she left she told us it was already dry) and not to worry about getting it wet. I've attached pictures of what the tattoo looked like at the end of day 1 and day 2. By day 3 it was totally gone. I emailed and asked for a refund, but have never heard from her since. My son called and also talked to her, and she said she'd come by and touch up the tattoo, but also, never heard from her. I'd say for hair wraps, she's fine, but for tattoos, not so much. And her communication skills aren't great either.

update: i'm 3 days into the henna tattoo and it has almost completely faded which is really disappointing because it's supposed to last a week or two. The lady still did an amazing job and I followed all her care directions afterwards, but it is now barely visible and looks bad.

What a great chance to do something beach-y in a clean and welcoming environment. My 4 year old and I were able to book same day appointments online for hair wraps and a feather-perfect for making memories! Our experience was just as advertised, with so so many color options and fun music playing. My daughter felt special and in charge of her mommy and me date. So glad we found this spot online. She has something fun to show off in her hair when we return back home. (And worth the $ considering the wraps can last up to 6 months.) Would recommend to those searching online in the Miramar Beach area. The process took us about 30 minutes each.

I got a $15 henna tattoo and it didn't take long to dry, but the tattoo wasn't even there when I pulled off the hard part.

This post is a long time coming. I've always wanted a full sleeve tattoo, but for the longest time…read moreI had no idea how to start. Like many people, I thought I could just walk into a shop and ask, "How much is a sleeve?"--and quickly realized that's not how it works. A sleeve takes time, planning, patience, and commitment. My first point of contact at Electric Street Tattoo in Ft. Lauderdale was Nick, and he was incredible in helping me plan, design, and kick off my sleeve with some major pieces. He was patient, collaborative, and made the process enjoyable. His linework is bold and crisp, and I genuinely appreciated the hours spent with him. From there, Nick introduced me to Lexi, CJ, and Lyandra, who each added meaningful pieces to my arm. Every one of them took the time to not only tattoo, but to connect through great conversations that made me feel like part of the family. To this day, I feel like I could stop by just to say hi--even without booking a session. That's how comfortable and welcomed they made me feel. While working on my sleeve, I came across an Instagram video by Carlos Gonzales at Heart in Hand Tattoo in Arlington, TX (also known for his work at Elm Street Tattoo). His video showcased his incredible ability to tie tattoos together with creative gap fillers, making the whole arm flow beautifully. The moment I saw it, I knew I had to make the trip to Texas to have him finish my sleeve. When I finally sat in Carlos's chair, it felt like we clicked instantly. He freehanded with a Sharpie, which made the planning and flow effortless, and he was both meticulous and insanely efficient. If you can handle the pain, he can accomplish a ton in a single session! He tied everything together with gap fillers and larger webs on my shoulder and elbow, and when we wrapped up, I realized he had put the perfect finishing touch on my sleeve. This journey has been deeply personal. My inner-arm soccer player was my first tattoo below the t-shirt line--visible to the world. For me, it symbolized finally being comfortable in my own skin at 40 years old, making decisions for myself instead of for others. Every artist along the way has contributed to that story, and their work is now permanently part of me. I recently saw a video of an older woman explaining why she got her first tattoo at 80 years old. She said, "When I was a kid, I got stickers for being good. I've been good my whole life--I want more stickers." That resonated with me. Tattoos are my stickers, my reminders that I've lived, grown, and celebrated who I am. So, if you're looking for artists who not only create incredible tattoos but also make you feel welcome, valued, and inspired, go see the amazing team at Electric Street Tattoo in Ft. Lauderdale--and if you get the chance, make your way to Carlos Gonzales at Heart in Hand Tattoo in Arlington, TX. These are the people you want on your sleeve journey.

While we were having lunch, she did a quick search for a highly rated tattoo shop nearby--and Electric Street Tattoo popped up. After we finished eating, we hopped in a short Uber ride and headed over. As we walked up, two guys were sitting outside the shop and greeted us. Wifey let them know she was looking to get a tattoo, and one of them said, "Come on in." In less than two minutes, he joined us inside, and the consultation began. It turns out that he was the owner of the shop. She shared her design and explained what she had in mind. They went back and forth a bit on placement and size, and he couldn't have been more helpful. He was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind throughout the entire process. This design was something deeply meaningful to her--a reminder to stay centered on her spiritual journey and to keep moving forward with intention. Overall, the experience was exceptional and Josh, the owner, took great care of us. This is definitely a tattoo shop worth visiting. @whatsthenextmemory

Black water is one of Hollywood's hidden gems and a great low key spot to get a tattoo…read more I spoke to Matilde via text and she got me a ton of quick information. She let me know about the process, walk ins, bookings, etc. She was definitely friendly and professional. We walked in around 845pm and met with Erick. My wife had a few ideas and he was quick to react. He showed confidence that you want from a tattoo artist but he also offered his opinion to avoid compromising the piece which sometimes leads to a bad tattoo. He gave us the price, which was the shop min, and we were rolling. He took the time to sketch it out and explain how the tattoo would be placed and look. He also showed us, every step, how the process worked and how everything was clean and sterile. After a quick stencil placement, the tattoo was started and completed in about 5 minutes. (Quill) His calm demeanor and friendly disposition lead to a second tattoo which wasn't even planned. Another conversation and sketch and we were into number two. This one came with a little more detail but Erick did a great job. He talked with my wife the whole way and kept her focused on being calm and just enjoying the process. This one took a little longer due to the additional detail but it came out just as good. (Palm tree, sun and the word Breathe) Ericks talent is only rivaled by his easy going mentality. I would recommend him to anybody who wants not only a great tattoo, but a fantastic overall tattoo experience. We will back to black water to ask for Erick.
