Actually less than 1 star. Ordered 3 special chicken biryani's and 1 spicy chilli chicken. But biryani's are not at all special. They looked like normal rice which was added with some chicken pieces, rice is also very much like something where we cook in rice cooker and over cooked. chilli chicken is not the regular one. The food at Paradise is great! I always have the special chicken biryani, garlic naan and the goat sukkha. Highly recommend the goat sukkha. The special biryani is better than the regular one, I think. The service is quick and efficient. The staff are all very professional and the ambience of the restaurant is cosy. The only reason I deducted a star is because I felt the portion sizes of the food and drinks (especially the mango/salt lassi) were too small for the price. read more

The best biryani ever. It is even better than biryani at bawarchii or paradise in hyderabad!!! Consistently great food and always tastes fresh. Have done take out and dine in both and food has always been great. Apart from the biryani their appetizers and other entrees are also better than other Indian restaurants in the area. The naans are different as in they are not soft but crispy and we love them for that. We have even tried the other paradise locations in Shrewsbury and NJ as well but nothing beats this little Lowell biryani Pointe. read more

Quite disappointed! This place was recommended by someone else, service was very poor, no interest in solving any problems such as our very wobbly table. Ordered three different meals, got two and the biriani came about half an hour later, by then we had already shared our food with the person who ordered it so we cancelled it. There was one particular meal that was fried goat, no exaggeration, he served us 4 small cubes of goat mean and had no shame charging 15 dollars for it. I usually don't give any bad rating to anyone but this concerns health so i am writing this review. I ordered catering from Paradise Biryani, Lowell for my sister's baby shower for almost 50 people. It included 2 large tray of Veg Biryani and total food worth of $600. Since the funtion is at Noon time and this restaurant was not in position to provide food early in day time, i picked food a night prior to the function at around 9 PM as planned. I was told not to open the trays untill you will be having food. Also once you take all the food keep it in fridge at specific temperature and have next day afternoont. I was told the veg biryani is freshly made an hour back and in good condition. Even after doing everything as told the veg biryani went sour and stale very next day irrespective of keeping it in fridge and not opening before lunch time (around 1 PM) on day of function. It was very embarassing during function when people didn't have anything to eat in vegetarian option as planned. I talked to 2 of my freinds working as chef in restaurants and they told me veg biryani do not get bad for atleast 12 hours until material used is not of good quality or old vegetables or have some fungus in it. I will never order or suggest anyone to book any catering from this restaurant. This restaurant do not use best practices to make biryani and use stale material which is unhealthy. Think twice before you order food from this place because you never know when it was cooked. read more

I ordered this afternoon for lunch. I waited at the service area for pick up and rang the bell for service and waited few minutes to get service. The food is not good this time. My garlic naans are burnt with coal char to the naans. I wish I took a picture or called right away, but who would put another half hour to go switch them out and I paid cash. The Chinese egg fried rice has too many peppercorns even though I mentioned medium spice. It has no flavor just too much pepper and so spicy. I like the weekend cook better because they get the rice and naans right on the weekends. Not worth a round trip of one hour driving from North Andover area for food that's not up to par. Thanks for the cash discount because those naans went straight to trash so it evens out! That's why I didn't bother call and complain. read more

This place is such a hit or miss! There have been times the food has been great but sometimes (like today) it was more than dissapointing. We got chicken lollipop and it was RAW! The raw marinade was still stuck inside the chicken, really grossed me out. Landed up throwing and throwing up all of it! Going to take a LONG break from ordering from here again. We ordered a takeout of their supposedly "authentic" "dum" biryani. It was the worst biryani and nowhere near a "dum" biryani. The biryani was bland and unlike authentic dum biryani, it was was hardly slow-cooked with the right spices. The vegetables were clearly from the local grocer's frozen-foods dept. and not at all cooked well. The biryani itself was bland. The place itself was empty and one of the staff members was rude (on an earlier visit). Avoid this place. Save yourself the time and money - there are better restaurants around in the area. read more

Worst service ever. Everything which can go wrong in a simple order they got it. No chicken in chicken fried rice and with 35 mins delay. Don't waste your time and money visiting this place thinking it is the same paradise chain, like I did. The decor is cheap. They didn't even think of putting a proper door as it shakes the whole place when it closes. There is no customer friendly face welcoming you at all. Its more of a like they are doing you a favor by being in a travelling distance from town. The portion is just too less which makes you feel being ripped off. Oh! and everything is self service. They don't even care to spend on proper plates and forks. You have to serve yourself after picking up those cheap plastic plates. I ordered a biryani(of course) and a hariyali kebab. The kebab was was basically half boiled chicken with green liquid paste all over it with extra extra salt. Then and there I wished I could teach them how to use a grill or a conventional oven! The biryani portion was too little along with meat(supposed to be) but only bones. Definitely a place to avoid unless you are one of those super lazy bachelor who doesn't care the taste or experience as long as you get something edible. read more

This review is only for the service. I generally refrain from giving anything negative about a restaurant's service especially the Indian ones considering they have a tendency to overlook service. We, 3 friends walked in 45 mins before the close. We were told that there would be a 10 mins which ended to becoming a 30 min wait. Once we were seated, the waiter placed a pitcher of water on front of us with no glasses. After a good few minutes of being left alone, the waiter informed us nothing but biriyani was available, considering it was the biriyani pointe we struck to the biriyani and asked for glasses for water. He did bring up two glasses for three people. About 10 mins later he comes back to get the order again. Ultimately when the food did end up coming,another 15 mins later, the order was wrong and had to wait for more time to get the entire order out. Remember we still have only 2 plates and glasses. After a point when we ended up walking to the counter to get the plate, the waiter ended up sending us the plates(more than we needed by now, not sure if it was out of irritation). I will have to point out that the food that was server was beyond good. Its a shame that the service was so lackluster almost insulting the good food served there. read more

This restaurant happens to be a part of a chain..Their food is so good you will pack some to-go. We ordered the Mirchi ka salon [which is just delicious]. i ordered it medium spicy which was quite spicy for my palate. The biryanis here are also fabulous. Try the chicken biryani. So we went there to hog on to Biriyani. That was the main point of the visit. Couple of things that I realized upon entering is you are confused if its a order at the counter and take your food and sit kind of restaurant or if there is a wait staff... there is no host to seat you. you just ponder, wonder and get vibes when ppl start staring at you when you cant decide how the things work here. I guess thats the best part of being Indian. You just figure things out!! The food is good. Truly south indian type of dum biriyani. Its more of chettinad style of cooking coz the biriyani master is from Karaikudi (duh!!) But its good food without a doubt. We got chicken biriyani, tandoori and pepper goat fry. Everything was to the liking. Perfect seasoning on tandoori, spicy and tangy just like its supposed to be and retained the moisture as well. The goat pepper fry was full of masala and in a good way. Portion size is pretty good. But if you looking for ambience or a fork and knife kind of place please this is not the place for you! I just brought Chicken Biryani and want to rate it 0(zero) but don't have that option. I dont know the reason but they give just 2 chicken pieces which are not even sufficient for 1/2 the rice they give. Guys... chicken is very cheap, and if i want just biryani rice, i can get veggie biryani which atleast will have some veggies instead of eating just plain rice(chicken biryani). We came here bcz we were craving for biryani but everything else was delicious except the biryani!! It was too dry. I liked the mango lassi and gulab jamun the appetizers and entrées were finger licking good! Overall a good meal :) would love to come back but not for biryani! read more
