3.437 Stars The prior business was Dunkin Donuts, I consider this as an upgrade. The tables are slightly close. There is plenty of natural light in the day and the decorum is pleasant. The restrooms are clean. Yes it's a national chain but the location in Westborough is very good in my opinion. It's also no fluke that this store is located here; Westborough is the second largest Indian population in Mass. What is so good about PBP? The food is plain good. I'm not sure the boast they claim the best Biryani in the US but it is delicious. I prefer spicy dishes and they don't dumb down the heat but they do ask you what your threshold is. This place lived up to all my expectations. Since it's a really new place , I was expecting slow service and mismanagement but the guys there are doing their best to serve efficiently. Having lived in south India all my life , and having missed andra style restaurants around , this place was a nice experience for me. We ordered the paradise chicken fry, which was soft chicken in a mix of spices , tasted delicious. The chicken biryani lived up to my expectations , but I am sure it will get better over time. The manager of the restaurant was extremely courteous , making an effort to go around the tables asking people about their experience since they are new. He also told us about some bad reviews they got earlier on. He said they weren't expecting a large turn out of people in the first week and their crew wasn't adequate to handle them. And things got a little messy. Overall the best Andra style restaurant in the area. Also a good idea to go there on weekdays , since weekends are quite busy and slow. The biryani rice was not long grain rice or too much mixing is making it to crack into tiny pieces. The chicken doesn't taste much fresh .. Looks like they are using 2-3 days old marinated chicken. This is the only place that could make fried rice without soy sauce and throw chicken under a bowl of orangeeeeeee coloured rice and ask you to believe it's biryani. Fish fry yuck. Don't ask! "Paradise Biryani" - the name is a brand. When ppl go to this brand's restaurant, they expect it to be awesome biryani and great starters. So i have been to this place couple of times. First time I ordered Veg Biryani & Chicken Biryani. The Veg Biryani was OK. In Chicken Biryani, there weren't even a lot of pieces. It was ok but not as I was expecting. (Try Lowell one for better taste). 2nd time was to go order and triggered me to write this review. I ordered Gobi 65 and Cut Mirchi. Cut mirchi was so highly priced ($7). And I get some jalepeno mirchi and without any chutneys or onions.. Homemades are a lot good. For Gobi 65. hardly there were even 10 pieces, again without any spring onions, or onions and taste was blunt. Definitely not up to paradise level.... 2.5 is my rating, there are lot of better places close by for sure. read more

I've ordered take out and eaten in- all experiences were awesome to say the least. Having lifelong Indian friends and working in a predominantly Indian company (and having been married to an Indian in the past), I've been exposed to more than the average American. Every time I go here it's a smooth experience, even w take out. One time I had meetings run over which meant my lunch order would have to be picked up during their prep time btwn meal times (3-5). The host was very gracious and told me not to worry, and upon arrival he reassured me it wasn't a problem. Didn't even seem upset- I think I was more flustered than anything! Last time I dined in the manager shared some great stories, told me a bit about his life and gave me some suggestions on other dishes I should try- he was nice and polite, and even gave me extra meat when I said I would need a take away! Probably one of the better experiences I've had at any Indian restaurant, considering the norm is all about business and not too friendly towards non Indian customers. I would love to see more Indian restaurants treat their non Indian patrons w the same warmth they treat patrons of their own country- business is business, right? But I don't have to worry about that here. Plus they put exactly the amount of spice I ask for in my dish- not dumbing spices down is a big win in my books. I could handle more spices than my South Indian ex husband- looks can be deceiving so I appreciate it even more when restaurant staff actually listen to me and give me what I ask for instead of what they think I want or need. Mutton biryani here is definitely on point! They even give you gravy to go w it!!! and that's something my ex husband taught me- and this is the second restaurant I've gone to that serves it w their biryani- the other is on Devon street in Chicago. Here it sucks big time, I wonder if this is same management, I ordered chicken and veg biryaani a month ago and that turned out to be one horrible biryaani which consist of sticky rice and non flavor chicken with some spices. I did not order anything after that. Some days ago i thought of giving paradise another chance thinking that something must be very wrong last time (Maybe chef had bad mood), So ordered biryaani, Kadhai paneer and chicken korma. Again biryaani was same(Horrible), Kadhai panner was nostaligic (Just like hostel mess food) and chicken korma color was different, There was no taste whatsoever. We ordered lots since we don't live near here and were super excited and hungry. This was maybe the worst biryani I have eaten thus far! There was such a strong cardamom flavor, that the other spices were non existent. The dal fry was so so... Not the smokey tadka flavor I was hoping for. Around us there isn't much indo-chinese style food, so we had to get the egg fried rice... Best thing we ate that night! Great flavor! And the tandoori chicken was also cooked perfectly. Great, spicy Indian food in an old Dunkin Donuts. Our party went with Saag Paneer, a spicy paneer in tomato dish whose name I forgot, and a spicy chicken biryani. All were great, although I think I preferred the paneer dishes to the biryani. It could also be the case that biryani isn't my favorite dish. Found this place while returning to providence from New Hampshire, it's in the nearby Boston area. Because of construction at the roads it's not easily accessible. First time samosa chat came out as it should be, pipping hot chola and onions ginger properly cooked and smushed together. Portion was huge, got full on appetizer. Ordered a dal, garlic naan and paneer biriyani and tea. After a long day tea was refreshing, house made. Dal was tasty although couldn't finish it, took it home. Had eaten better biriyani at other places, didn't wowed, but okay. Portions are again good for two meals for two people. First time saw the dessert "double ka mitha" at any place so ordered it to give it a try. Very oily, oil separated from the cooked rabadi and nuts, felt like drinking oil. For the taste as per say price was a too much. Still the place was jam packed, believe there are not a lot good places near by. But when you are hungry and on the trip, it was good. Didn't get the idea when server asked us to tip in cash not with card, while bill paid by the card. Is the owner taking tips instead of giving them to server. Don't know why? [I am a 20 year old college student writing this review based on an allergy-friendly perspective. For reference, I am allergic to gluten, eggs, tree nuts, dairy, and sesame, with the first three out of those five leading to anaphylactic reactions. I hope that by doing this for all the restaurants I eat at, I can help others with similar concerns find safe places to eat.] Whenever I eat out with my family I usually avoid Indian places - they've been very ignorant/insensitive towards allergies historically. That being said, we ate here the night before Christmas because it was the only place open for a few miles around, and after reading other Yelp reviews we decided to give it a try. Upon entering, we were seated by the windows and the manager came over to us to take our order. We told him about my food allergies and he was very receptive, told me which menu items I should consider, and which he would recommend for the best taste. I was rather wary and stuck with the Daal and a side of Rice, which was pretty tasty and nicely spiced. Later on, I noticed two Allergy Awareness Certificates from the MA Department of Public Health hanging on the wall, which eased my fears quite a bit. Next time, I will definitely try the goat because I know that the manager and chef are not just saying they understand about my allergies - they really do mean it. My parents shared a Goat Biryani and proclaimed it delicious, although it was too spicy for my mother so she poured a few bowls of Raita on it to cool it down. They make their most popular foods in larger amounts like most restaurants, so it is difficult to ask for a milder version to be made, but one can always reduce the spice level the way my mother did (and she has a very low spice tolerance, so I don't foresee many people having this problem). My younger brother got the Gobi 65 and it was also spiced well, a gorgeous red colored dish that he enjoyed (means a lot considering he isn't a huge fan of healthy veggies). When we came to know they were not a part of real paradise chain we were disappointed but the food changed it . Food was really good and restaurant has a good ambience , this will be a competition to other Indian places in Norwood -Walpole- Sharon area . Although I have both positives and negatives to share, I will definitely be back to try this place again. The absolute first thing I noticed from the outside was how bright the lights were inside. When we entered the staff was very friendly and seated us right away. The decor was nice in my opinion compared to other Indian restaurants I have been to, however the BRIGHT lighting was a big downer for me as there is no ambiance at all. We ordered the veg gobi manchurian as an appetizer and I totally loved it! I normally love my meat, so I was amazed at how great a vegetarian dish could taste. I would order again in a heartbeat. I'll have to try the chicken one next time. For an entree, we ordered the tandoori chicken which was a generous portion and was equally delicious, falling off the bone, and flavorful. Our other entree was the chicken tikka masala. The flavor on this dish was very good, however, the heat was just much too much for me. I was bordering on not being able to eat it. For reference purposes, I should say that I like a small amount of heat, but prefer it to be fairly under control. I noticed that a couple other reviews commented on the spiciness of the dishes as well. I hope that the restaurant takes this into consideration in the future. Its easy to add a little more heat for those who want it, but you can't take it away if you're making dishes in bulk. I will try going to this restaurant again in the future to give it another try and see if they have taken some of the comments in the reviews under advisement. I went there today for Iftar and was delighted at the ambiance. Basically this was a place where you can take any of your foreign friends. I ordered some chicken fried rice, chicken 65 and chicken byrani and the food came out in 10-15 minutes. The chicken fried rice was simply amazing and is a must have with any other curry dish. The Byrani was a little spicy since I was expecting a little less spice for medium (it was probably a 4/5 for spices). Byrani was a typical wedding 'daig' style byrani as we call in pak and was delicious, will definitely order it again. The staff was very helpful. I definitely plan on going there again soon. read more
