Another amazing pizza from Paradise by the Slice. We had the Paradise special for a late lunch. Delicious. I also really liked the Fiddlehead IPA. It looked like the bartender was the only server at that time so service was a bit underwhelming but not a big deal.

It was a awesome place years ago before it was sold. Been there since the new owners and it seems like your average neighborhood hangout now. This use to be a favorite place to eat and have a few brews ... NOT ANYMORE ... my money will be spent at other establishments If I could give it no stars I would, but I had to give them 1 star to leave a review If your against animal cruelty, do your homework on the owner Kyle Riggs before patronizing this establishment

all on one side. call afterwards and speak slowly so the can understand. Messed up again.

Rude delivery person. When they came to the door they demanded a higher tip I'm sorry you didn't make the food you drive 3 min. Complained they had to call to deliver the food. We live 3 min away. The dog barks at every knock. Tipped 5 dollars

Plain pizza is lacking, cheese wasn't melted. Wings are usually good except when they forget the sauce and squirt some ontop of dry wings.

Management just changed hands, hoping they can make takeout better-usually warm not hot on pickup

We were There last night.... last time here probably a year. I don't eat meat and try to stay away from breaded foods...so, pizza was my go to here, which is always, always awesome. This time I tried their shrimp salad...even though the shrimp was breaded-they were delicious....leafy greens were plentiful, corn, beans, onions, other vegetables, tomatoes, crispy noodles and lots of shredded cheese. I have to say one of the best salads I've had...it was well prepared and very fresh! I miss Marky there but I'm sure he is doing well! As always, eat local.

    Firm, robust roll.

Paradise lost. Ok, so the following couple things are going to sound like negatives, but they really aren't. They had no bearing on the rating one bit - I just wanted to point them out. First, the website. Please pay it a visit (http://www.paradisebytheslice.com/). Like, what is that? It's like if your dad just discovered clip art and started randomly inserting pictures into a Word document. You know, because he's retired and has nothing better to do. Each time he successfully places one, he yells to his wife, "Hey honey, look at this. Look what I just did." She'd begrudgingly walks over, gives the screen a quick, obligatory glance, and responds, "Oh, that's wonderful, dear." She turns and heads back to the kitchen table, where she's been working on her daily crosswords. Under her breath, she mutters, "So, this is what my life has become. This is 70." Next, it's a dive. Again, not a bad thing. And although the name of the establishment might scream "quaint pizzeria", don't be fooled. It's dark, it's dank, it's frequented by drunken, old locals. Don't worry - they don't mind being called that. In fact, to them, it's a term of endearment. Service is on the slow side. Worse, if you go on a night where the bartenders are besties with each other, they'll spend most of the night goofing around and ignoring customers. Pizza here isn't a disaster, but if you call yourself "Paradise by the Slice," it'd better be good. The crust is too thin and thus gets soggy. Cheese and sauce are spread in the most uneven way imaginable. Toppings are scarce. Local pizzerias are definitely my preferred choice over chains, but this place makes me long for Domino's. And I hate Domino's. I wouldn't come here unless my friends didn't beg me to come out for trivia night. But even that's a joke. The use the "Buzztime" platform, rather than have an actual trivia "DJ" call out the questions. Everyone uses a little electronic device to input the answers to questions that appear on one of the TVs at the bar. For some reason, though, everyone is on one, collective team? For example, the first person in the bar who knows the question will shout out the answer. Then everyone at the bar can get it right. To me, that totally defeats the purpose of competing with friends and makes a farce of the entire concept. Does everyone really need to win? I guess the only really entertaining part of the night is when someone yells out the wrong answer and the whole bar gets screwed. That leads to some, um, colorful insults hurled in the direction of the guilty party. Long story short, if the highlight of the night at a bar is someone getting a trivia question wrong one day of the week, then that place doesn't have a lot to offer to begin with.

Pleasantly surprised by selection and quality of food coming out of this place. Ordered Meat Lovers…read moreand Hawaiian pizza; both had good bake on the not too-thick crust and generous amount of toppings. Standout was the Detroit pie- couldn't believe how addicting this buttery, crisp, little, plain-cheese-pizza turned out to be. Spinach calzone was short on spinach, whereby it was almost just a regular calzone, but still enjoyable. Fries could've used a longer cook time/better temperature as they soaked up the oil a bit. Still, a great addition to the small food line-up in this zip code. Only negative is the pricing is a bit elevated. Large pizza with toppings cost $18.50 to $23 before tax, and personal sizes are costly to feed 1. (Almost feels like they're compensating a little for delivery app costs). Don't mind paying for quality, but if buying for a group, the cost will set you back some.

No fountain sodas, no salt/pepper/condiments on the tables, no napkins out. They basically gave you a paper plate and your food was made up as if you were eating to go. It's a huge disappointment considering how much time they spent remodeling. The pizza was good, the garlic knots were average. We wanted the bread sticks and they said they don't sell them because they aren't popular enough. No one else was inside while we were there. The building is nicely renovated.

My order....Hamburger (think I meant to order cheeseburger) sub, cheese fries, and a dozen suicide wings. Yep...I'm fat and there was a game on tv...very predictable order. Sub was good...great roll and quality toppings although the burger was as expected(frozen patty). . Cheese fries plentiful (for a medium order) and cooked well. Now the wings are where it gets complicated. They were good...but is it possible that buffalo wings can be too large? Yep, if that's my only gripe then they must have been pretty good. ...and they were. Huge mistake not including dipping sauce though...almost sacrilegious. Need more flavor options too. Their menu actually seems too large (so says Chef Ramsey) and I wonder if that's part of the reason that locals complain about always waiting to pickup food after arriving for their order. Since I only eat restaurant food during games (...and yes there's plenty of sports with even more games) I shy away from typical rush times. Time (pun intended) will tell.
