    Grouper sandwich

Really solid food & bev counter right on the beach. I enjoyed my blackened grouper sandwich (the filet was huge) and my pina colada was good too. They have lots of tables open nearby on the patio, and more dedicated chairs on the sand.

Friendly staff and one of the best grouper sandwiches I've had in St Pete. It's right next to the beach so the ambiance is perfect; what more could you ask for? Oh you asked for beer? Yes, they have that too :)

Had spent the morning at Pass-a-Grille Beach, and needed a place for lunch that would take a person covered in suntan lotion, sand, and sweat. You can walk right up to the counter and place your order. They give you a beeper to let you know when it is ready. I ordered a simple grilled cheese sandwich, fries, and a strawberry smoothie. The smoothie was ice cold and delicious, perfect for super hot beach day. The grilled cheese was simply perfection! Crispy, with just that slight salty bite to it, I wish I could go back more often! The fries were delicious as well. Lots of seating to pick from, and quite a few areas that had umbrellas or shade. Attached to the restaurant are changing rooms, as well as bathrooms, which was very convenient. Would highly recommend!

Love this place. We were in St Pete for 10 days and came here to eat and hang out at least 6 of those days. We love the atmosphere, food, drinks and music. Service was fast and when you sit in one of the colorful chairs facing the ocean you always meet someone new.

This spot is right on the beach and looks out to the water, so it's beautiful. It's picnic table style, order at the bar and wait for your food. We had cheeseburgers that were very good, and I'm picky about my burgers. Service is a little slow but they're busy and small, so come patient! I would say the customer service is lacking - don't expect warmth, however, I watched them have to deal with a lot of rude snow birds so I empathize.

Their breakfast sandwich (scrambled eggs, sausage patty, cheese, on a toasted English muffin) is the best breakfast sandwich on the planet. This is true for both locations, St. Pete Beach and Pass-a-Grille. The two locations are a different beach experience. St. Pete Beach is the classic, wide, white sand beach with the cafe set in the dunes; Pass-a-Grille is a short beach which puts you very near the sound and energy of the surf. I honestly can't say I prefer one over the other, they're so different. BUT...they're equally good, including the food.

We come to St. Pete at least once a year and every time we go to the other Paradise Grill multiple times. Because of the hurricanes it is closed so we decided to try this location and it did not disappoint! It is on the beach and has a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly and they have an excellent breakfast! It's literally my kids favorite place to eat!

the food was okay. it wasn't anything crazy. Tenders needed seasoning. Fries were actually good. My bf said the grouper was an 8/10. There is outdoor seating and there was a man singing. The strawberry daiquiri is amazing!!!

Found this place by accident walking around Pass a Grille beach area and saw an olen table outside. All their seating is outdoor as this is a beachfront cafe. We ordered a pound of peel and eat shrimp that was perfectly blacked and grilled, a half pound hamburger, and drinks. My wife was thrilled with the strawberry daiquiri and I just had a can of coconut water. We were thrilled with the service, food, and location. This is exactly what we were looking for later in the evening at the gorgeous beach.

Right on the beach, grabbed some breakfast here. Wasn't as overpriced as the other restaurants nearby. Got the egg sandwich and it came with homefries too. And of course if you were to eat here you can look right at the beach.

Perhaps we tried the wrong things, but we were hungry (which usually increases the appreciation for the food), and our choices ranged from not good to good. The dip appetizer- Not good. It was the crab dip with seasoned cheez-it shaped crackers. The crab did not have good flavor and the crackers were over salted. Wasn't a good balance for my taste buds. Didn't eat most of it. The oysters appetizer- Good. They were fresh which is ALWAYS appreciated. I didnt like that the shells weren't rinsed, which led to alot of shell in my slurps and the actual oyster sizes ranged from normal to small. One was almost tiny. My main meal- Good. I had the special...a Blackened Hogfish stuffed with crab and scallops. The fish on it's own was ok, but the bites with the stuffing as the whole were good. The rice and beans along with it were cooked perfectly. My friend had the Blackened Grouper and enjoyed it thoroughly. Desserts- Very Good- 50/50. The Coconut Cheesecake was absolutely DELICIOUS, definitely homemade. The Chocolate Cheesecake was just ok, but killed the sweet treat itch. Ambiance- Tranquil. If you're looking for beautiful scenery while eating pretty good food out on the patio area, this is it. The main dining area upstairs was a typical old seafood diner type vibe. The bathrooms are also located upstairs. Service was informative and attentive. It wasn't the best seafood I've had, but I'd definitely come back for the view. Pricing was fair. Check them out!

They had a fresh catch of grouper that day, so we decided to try the grouper nuggets. They're market price, but absolutely worth it. Even our friend preferred them over his fried fish. The batter was light, crispy, and delicious. Our kids ordered the bacon cheese fries and loved them. Just a heads-up: they use a nacho cheese sauce rather than shredded cheese, which some people may prefer to know ahead of time. Our friend from Massachusetts ordered the lobster sub (also market price) and said it was worth every penny. My husband and I split the grouper nuggets and the Philly cheesesteak. The bread is brought in from up north, and our server's recommendation did not disappoint. The sandwich was rich, flavorful, and one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried the onion rings. They use a beer batter, which wasn't our favorite, but that's more of a personal preference than a criticism. Overall, we'd definitely return if we're in the area again. The only downside was parking--$29.99 for two hours is pretty brutal. Thankfully, the food and atmosphere helped make up for it.

Everyone there seems to be friendly and you get that comfortable feeling. We had a variety of food items, some better than others but nothing below average. Really good salads, as you can see by the pictures, a nice job on the chicken wings, a BLT that was pretty tasty; the butternut squash soup was OK, pretty thick and not hot at all. One was returned to the kitchen to be heated up. There was a chicken dip that really didn't hit the spot, and the tortilla chips that came with it seem to be past their prime. As for the fried mushrooms. I found them pretty much ordinary. A nice surprise were the brussels sprouts with balsamic and goat cheese. Really really good. Overall, I would give the food about a 3 1/2 stars at the service five stars so what averages out around four stars. Like I said it looks like a nice place to hang around and have a couple of beverages and a little something to eat.

Parking is minimum $50 a day + fees. A cocktail? For an hour? Haha no. I'm being mildly disingenuous. The bar staff (and likely restaurant staff) will give you a QR code to validate all $58 of your parking. But it made me acutely miss a time when you could just park and patronize an establishment. Just don't forget to validate your parking, cuz they sure didn't ask preemptively. They were celebrating a 3-day grand reopening when we went on Saturday. There was *one* artisan in their market space. The music was pumping loud enough to not be able to converse. Although it drew a crowd of younger folks, there was not much to behold from the "grand" reopening. Not even s cost of paint. The beach bar may not have been part of the sprucing up idk, I didn't see anything worth celebrating. I meant to look at the size of the cocktail cup that we got (small), but $13-14 for a cocktail is highway robbery for the end result. And $18 for 6 wings ($3 a wing) was a little disappointing. I expected better of a Hilton adjoined restaurant. No one part was terrible. It was just the way they matched up - loud, expensive, small portions. If you're loud maybe you're cheap and tasty. If you're expensive, maybe you're fast and delicious. This was all the worst parts of a bar that doesn't care about its patrons' economics. A bar that wants to serve tourists with mediocrity and move on to the next crop of people who will never be there again. If you're a tourist it'll probably be fine, if overpriced. If you're a local, don't bother. To be fair, we should ask if there was anything good. hm ... no. We won't be returning. 3 stars is probably generous.

We assured them that the lunch menu was fine, But it was nice of them to inquire and was typical of the intimate service provided. I ordered the portobello melt ($15) and Dave got a Salmon Salad. Both dishes were tasty. The air conditioning was cold, and the views of the beach were hot. Good views of the Chippies on the beach (If you like that sort of thing). Great meal with great conversation = Priceless!
