Our first visit to Paradise Indian Grill was earlier today (Saturday) for their Brunch Buffet. We were seated immediately upon entering and the wait staff kept our sodas topped off...there were a few big screen televisions on the walls and one one showing how to make some Indian dishes, showing the ingredients, amounts, and step by step instructions...found that very interesting. They had a number of tasty choices to choose from on the buffet line and my favorites were the Chicken Tikka Masala, the Chili Chicken, and the Naan Bread. The Baby Corn Manchurian was a nice surprise as well. The chicken dishes had a nice level of spice and the rice choices were served up perfectly cooked...my only complaint, and its on me for getting there a little late, was that the amount of each of the foods on the buffet was a little on the light side. I wish they would have restocked the items...when they brought out some fresh Naan Bread it was warm and delicious.

Great food nice ambience. Like other Yelper stated the Naan was thick. Not fully cooked. Seems like it was not cooked in a tandoor. I had methi chicken which was very well cooked. Would definitely recommend. Cedar Rapids seems to be having good Indian restaurants. Specifically who cater to South Indian tastes. The hostess was polite.

We took our son here and we were not disappointed!! Our waiter was so attentive to him , brought him several coloring sheets and crayons. Our food was absolutely delicious. The menu was easy to navigate and the decor inside was beautiful. They offer large portions as well. So delicious!

Paradise Grill used to be fantastic. Lately, it seems like they don't try hard to provide good customer service. I ordered a take out order and didn't bother to take everything out of the bag to verify the order was correct until I got home. When I got home, I discovered that one item was not correct. Pictures below show receipt of what was ordered, what should have been provided and what was provided instead. Also, the yellow stuff provided was VERY bland. Regarding the Biryani, we used to always get a yogurt topping on the side, but not anymore. Just seems like quality and customer service is going down quickly. Has anyone tried Delhicacy? Any better?

My favorite restaurant in Cedar Rapids is Taste of India, so the Indian bar is set pretty high. The look and feel of Paradise is completely unlike a typical Indian place - this one is very "American"ized and a place you'd expect to find more American style food. The service was fine but we were one of maybe 3 tables in there at 1:30ish on a Saturday afternoon and the food took what felt like forever. But I must say I was pleasantly surprised at the food. It was definitely no Taste of India, but for a place like this it was decent. The portions are good sized, the naan (we had bullet and garlic) was delicious, the chutney was good. Overall it's a decent place to try out. But to satisfy my personal Indian cravings I'll likely stick to TOI.

2 for 1's for happy hour monday to Friday from 4-7 pm. 3 hrs happy hour. Its a great way for me to start my Friday after work. Its actually a saying at my work place if you want to reach me on Friday and I am not answering call up Paradise. Karan will be there... lol i was one of the few people who were invited at their opening and their food is delicious. Appetizers Chicken65 and Goat Sukha is to die for. And beware Goat sukha can be spicy. Their servers are super friendly and I love going there to be treated nice. Also their owner is friendly and knows his stuff. He helped us order good food. He explained why chicken65 is called as that(do ask them :P). Love their Chicken Lollipop too. And be prepared to wait on Fridays they are busy....

Butter chicken on left compared to Persis butter chicken(which is phenomenal btw)

Save your self the effort and just go to Persis instead. Butter chicken was no comparison to Persis, and I didn't get rice with my Togo order either. Also the nann is super thick and hard to chew, I took one bite and discarded the rest. I will not order from this place again.

My husband and I have eaten here a couple of times. The ambiance is upscale. The service is exceptional. The food is exquisite. Serving sizes are large so I would recommend sharing or prepare to take leftovers home. This is a wonderful place for a date night!

Extremely extremely SPICY!! What a waste of $80. The food has a good flavor but it's so spicy it's inedible.

I've never had a bad experience with the staff, though my friends and I usually sit at the bar. I used to get the Cuban on the pretzel roll back in the day but sadly the pretzel roll went away then so did the Cuban. One constant I've almost always have had is their Parmesan fries, they've always been a highlight either as a side to a burger or as an appetizer. Their version is easily some of the best fries I've ever had. The dipping sauce is on point, I recommend getting two of them. Something that has fallen off in recent years and I keep forgetting that fact, is their cheese wontons. I first fell in love with cheese wontons at Irish Democrat many moons ago and I've been chasing them ever since. They were good here once but not anymore - too much CRUNCHY wonton wrap and not enough cheese. People don't eat wontons for the wrapper, they go for the filling, if they didn't, that would be like going to Paris to see the frame and not the Mona Lisa. For these, the dipping sauce is always the best part of the dish. Overall it was a positive experience as usual. I will return.

First impressions were a bit confusing--the entrance makes you feel like you're walking into an office building. There's a door to the right with signage for what seems to be a sister bar that's only open on limited nights, but the actual restaurant is straight back. Once inside, the space is large and open, with plenty of room between tables and a sizable bar area. I sat at the bar and learned about their Whiskey Wednesday specials, which included several types of Old Fashioneds and whiskey flights. While it sounded intriguing, I opted not to partake. They also offer daily drink special themes. The menu is eclectic, with a mix of Cajun, Italian, and American fare. I went with the Cacio e Pepe with Elephant Ear (Orcchiette) pasta, and added shrimp along with a half wedge salad as a premium side. The pasta itself was delicious--perfectly cooked with a rich, peppery flavor. However, I wish the server had mentioned that the shrimp was Cajun-seasoned. While great on its own, it slightly overpowered the pasta. The wedge salad was a bit of a letdown--the lettuce was watery, which diluted the overall flavor. The dish also came with garlic bread, which was yummy. Service was outstanding--attentive, friendly, and efficient. Unfortunately, it was hard to get a real read on the restaurant's vibe because it was pretty empty on a Wednesday night.
